  1. There are several pìctures for cards in the new essential guide, not all of them though, but enough. The idea of an art section is pretty good...
  2. Face, definetely. I have a card from him using a picture from the Essential Guide to chars. I was thinking Elegos, because he joins after I, Jedi two years after Thrawn. 724 days. While most players finish recruiting at day 300, at most. I once hadn't recruited half of the people by day 1000. I thought Elegos for diplomacy, since I mostly use the rebel diplomats in command roles, except Leia, Borsk and mothma. Elegos, too, would have some combat rating, he is strong, and agile, he simply does not consider the use of those abilities in an aggressive way to be appropriate. I agreee to drop Isard's clone, and the Rogues and Wraiths, if the save game editor gets out, we could make Dodonna start captured at the beginning of the game. I suggest to use the pic of tavira that is a round, the one in a moff uniform. About having Qwi I am having doubt, she defected to the Republic but she did not develop anything for them, additionally I don't like her, I was happy when Wedge broke with her, I'm still hoping to see her among the dead of the Vong invasion. I agree no Kyp. Dash is an option, but he didn't actually rejoin, nor actually aid the Rep. Dorja and Brandei can be there, if we don't find pics for the other imps. Guri, she is at that time with Dash, a joint card would work if we decide to have them come back again. Rom mohc is dead, I'm not sure about having Jerec, Kyle perhaps (joint card with Jan?). Jerec and the JK series bad guys, I think not.
  3. Good point, that probably decides it. Galactic Empire: Thrawn (Palpatine) C'Baoth (VAder) New Republic: Remain the same. On thing though, C'Baoth as VAder gets the events, Thrawn gives his troops a leadership bonus when he's on Coruscant or whatever we turn Coruscant into. Or what we could do with the savegame editor. Any progress in that mask? One other thing, it occurred to me know that we talk about the DLL events. When C'Baoth captures Luke, he'll take him to Thrawn? It's probably kind of weird, and when that happens, then Luke will capturing both of them, he'll be Jedi Master, right?. Han will be followed by bounty hunter? Maybe Noghri. Should Han be captured, then will Luke and Co. go and rescue him. Perhaps. I was thinking that perhaps Luke's atributes weren't hard-coded in the engine, perhpas they were some kind of flags in the DATs. But then, I guess not. Would be useful to have the Noghri go after Leia instead, she's the one who's pregnant.
  4. "Actually we were eleven, but I guess I don't need to tell you that during our little ...um... battle in the unknown regions, we lost Jorus, what the blue-skins wanted from him, we can just guess. I must say you look young good too, Iulan." GRandad said, the man had a strong muscular built, but the magnificence of old. Iulan taken aback by the comment hesitated in his answer, Grandad had assisted at the same time his grand-uncle did to the training center on Kamparas. "I haven't ever been any older." "You aren't Iulan Stora?" "No, I am Iulan S'Tor, the one you refer was my granduncle." Grandad said nothing for a long moment. "I'm sorry, he was a great warrior, you look like him. Do you know how he died?" "no, not exactly. One rumor said that he died fighting a Dark Jedi, nearing the end of the Clone Wars." "To be precise it was of the same group of dark Jedi that were killed by Nejaa Halcyon on Susefsvi, Iulan Stora died on Rhodhanvia." Luke added putting an end to the discussion. From his robes though, he brought a cylindric shaped object. "This is courtesy of the Galactic Museum, a while Corran Horn was tehre and found a forbidden Jedi section. There were mementos in honor of death Jedi. Twenty-four lightsabers belonged to this collection, three worked, Corran's, another and yours." Iulan remianed silent, despite the urge to ask thousand questions about the man he resembled to, Luke's information on him, which he had kept for himself, and what Grandad and the other Jedi might tell him. Elvis cleared his throat. "Gentlebeings, please." The pilots, and the Jedi both went into another debriefing room. "Iulan, I suppose your maths are up the calculation." Elvis said. Iulan knew what Elvis meant, ten Jedi, Luke and him. One complete Jedi squadron, plus Elvis squadron, and guessing from Wedge's presence, Rogue Squadron too, which as Wedge said had another Force-sensitive, Corran Horn. "One Jedi squadron, the Rogues, and Shadow Squad. My maths tell me that the sum of it is lots of trouble for the imps. After all we have the factor of cloaked ships." "Oh," Wedge said as one who remembers a thing he had forgotten. "I'm trying to get the Wraiths into the equation too." "That's four squadron, that's the capacity of the MC-80b here, isn't it? This must have been going on for quiet some time." ulan concluded. "Yes, why do you think we traveled from one corner of the galaxy to another. You yourself sensed something in Satirnaynian, that might be an Imp Force-user who could simply detect our dozen Jedi with ease. The Force, as Luke tells me, knows no barrier but its effect can be diminished by distance. Tatooine has a turbulent presence in the Force, it was after all the hiding-place of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the birthplace of Anakin Skywalker as Grandad tells us. Unlike the Force reservoirs in Coruscant, Tatooine is more like a storm in the Force, clouded by the effects of past moments," Elvis explained. Iulan glanced at the group with a new understading what this war was all about.
  5. Yes the New Jedi Order series is set 25-30 years after A New Hope, roughly six years after Vision of the future. The series is composed of nineteen books and three e-books. Each year a harcover is released, there are five in total, the fourth was released in October 2002, and the last will be released in november 2003. If you want to spoil yourself the fun of reading through the series, and catch up with it, you might want to go to: http://www.njoe.com That is the New Jedi Order encylopedia, they have summaries of the titles published so far... My story is set just prior to the fourth hardcover and to understand som eof the events you will need to read about the events of Onslaught and Ruin, the summaries of Star by Star, Rebel Stand and REbel Dream, will help you to understand it even better.

    Shiplist

Stantard INT works for the Rebel if the imps get the Dominator, mod corvettes, and normal frigates. The Modified Frigate is actually weaker than the normal nebulon corvette.
  7. The essential chronology also has some important info on them, but no pics. One webpage had a complete listing of all the men who had claimed that rank, from Palpy's twelve down to Pellaeon, even the insane captain of the Lusankya was there. The images could be useful for making cards, for the TC all of the Grand Admirals were already dead, except Thrawn that is... Hopefully the Insider would have a "Minor imperial guys article, lots of images" in their next editions...
  8. I'm just reading Remnant, right now (bought it just one hour ago and I on page 100). Kyle is mentioned there, for not having attended the meeting. I thinks it's the first time, Kyle is actually referred to in the NJO...
  9. Dead, the New Essential Guide says so, Jan Dodonna is dead too. "Shortly before the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong, she passed away peacefully in her sleep." As for Dodonna, he retired to New Alderaan and died there... after the resurrected emperor was beaten....
  10. Look at you, you've grown. Nemesis..um.. Grand Admiral Nemesis, sir.
  11. I was just thinking that we'll have 200 planets in the galaxy. I guees we'll have to rearrange their order to match the NJO map, and might as well change some names. just to mention some we might need a Kuat, Fondor, Esseles, Thyferra, Duro (written correctly), Sacorria perhaps, Dagobah(we'll be changing the luke event anyway, so having Dagobah somewhere in teh Sluis sector would be nice. Thre are also planets I have never heard before Neeilgaimon, Vodran, etc... Instead we can have planets that acutally appeared in the books, Adumar, Nirauan, morishim, Belsavis, we might even put Gargon from our little RPG, just as an egg... A while ago I simply changed the galaxy map, and put an image i dwonloaded form the NASA site, in photoshop i blurred it for use when the GID was on and the acutal picture when you shut the GID down. Which I suppose no one does regularly, still the image works just fine. Though having a new one would be nice...
  12. The TC is what the community is making, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to use cards on it, just as you do know. You can make a card for the C-Wing for yourself or put it in the cards section of the page. If you can't make the card send me the pics and I'll do it for you... The ship is formidabel and ought to be in a TC, not this but perhaps in a "all nice and interesting things we simply couldn't have in the first TC" TC
  13. If a character is within a fighter, depending on its combat and its leadership rating the squadron would attain a rank of legendary or something like it. It would make them really hard to destroy. A squadron with twelve characters would be indestructible. AGain those twelve having high leadership and combat ratings...
  14. A while ago, i made the suggestion to Evaders to create a new cards section meant exclusively for the TC. WE would post there all cards we make and then thorugh polls choose the ones that will actually make it into the TC. Once you have the team and some cards ready, we could ask Evaders again. If we are to make cards we should now which cards will be made. There was discussion about the fighters for the TC, or the Cap ships or the personnel... Stats will be also needed....
  15. Monsh, I'm interested in joining your team. I know enough of Photoshop to actually make my own cards, Paint is a viable tool(at least the win95 version), if only to see whether the images will have trouble in 256 colors. About the deadlines though teachers keep us warning that as the year progresses our free time will be shortened by the need to study. If there is a test or something that could actually distract me from cad making, I'l tell you in advance, other than that, I think I'm fit for you r cards team. I'm also on the DLL entries team and to know where the images of the cards are stored in each DLL as well the encyclopedia text coul prove useful. RebEd 0.26 doesn't allow to change the facilities images, taht has to be done from the DLLs using Resource hacker. Just thought you'd better know, in case you didn't.
  16. In some other post I spoke of how Latin America lives because of how American culture has been imposed on us. It's economy is what affects all the countries from Mexico down to Bolivia and Brazil, Argentina and Chile are more influenced by the Europeans. The commercial arrangements between the Americas will only benefit the U.S. while the U.S. economic culture is forced upon us. Bush is certainly well aware of it, otherwise he wouldn't pose nicely for a picture with every Latin American president every three months or so. The communists in the Sovjet union tried that and failed, though I still marvel at Usbekistan where a communist Islam survived for almost eight years. If we see it in a more abstract way you'll realize, that the big industrialized countries dictate over the third-world countries for their own enrichment. As an interesant fact I'll simply say that for an U.S. citizen to live as he lives four or five third-world-citizens have to live in misery. Abstractly speaking, have the U.S. become a cruel economic empire as were the Enlgihs before them and so many others since the colonization of the New World. English call Francis Drake a Sir, he was a pirate who stole the Spainiards gold, whch was stolen from the Latinamerican people in the first place. Tell me what the difference between Bush and Saddam is? One is half-insane and has a moustache and kills his citizens to further his rule, the other looks like a chimpanzee and is slowly bleeding almost a whole continent to death to further the dinasty of American dominion over the Americas.
  17. 256 is sad , is there a way to change it. Or is it too buried deep inside the game engine...
  18. If the Dark Side could be described as the desire for ultimate possession, Sauron did make the One RIng to rule over the other rings, ergo they would become his possession. It's the desire to rule that makes men and woman desire to rule over countries, Saddam is a petty dictator in a land that has had dictators throughout history. From Nabucodonosor down to Saddam now, Bush wants to rule economically over the world. Europe wants the cultural dominion of the Old World. Each of them is a minor darksider, all Dark Lord wannabes. Even the psychiatrist that we have here in COsta Rica (it's kind of sad to have a psychiatrist for president, but again we have had worst presidents) is a dark lord wannabe...
  19. The Total Conversion is set in the SW 5 years after Return of the Jedi, when Thrawn return to the known galaxy and start his briliant plan for conquest. Yes the C-Wing was developed and lost by the Rebels prior to Endor and the Imperials probably have the plans somewhere in the Special Files section. If we think from within the SW universe the Empire is a corpse, a huge big corpse, before Thrawn took over it could have only with some difficulty have started to produce such a formidable fighter. Few people would have had access to the plans. Thrawn and Isard perhaps, Isard was lying low and satisfied with her little TIE Defender manufacturing plant, Thrawn was focusing on his brilliant tactical knowledge and Wayland, rather than the arms race that was taking place in TIE FIGHTER. The Rebels had problem of their own, having discovered how difficult it was to start the galaxy running again, remember they are so desperate that they usse stripped-down Assault Frigates as freighter, hardly the time to invert in the manufacture of a fighter. The Imps were fighting in TIEs and few Interceptors, A-Wing, X-Wings and B-Wing worked just fine for them. If we start to include C-Wing and other Fighter we might just as well include the bigger Imperial TIE models, Starships of the Galaxy is related to the CCG (I think, It's from Wizarsds of the Coast.) And so far I haven't seen it in any book or comic....
  20. OOC: I was thinking what one could add to the story that would make the claoked ships seem like nothing. Either it would be absurdly brilliant, absurdly demented or dementedly brilliant. Any of them are in Jahled's area of expertise. But let's face it Jahled is Imperial, I doubt he'll be contributing to the Rebel plot....
  21. This is the start for one story. It is about Corran in the NJO era following the Defense of Borleias.Corran, Reliqy, and the Jensaarai are there as well as members of Domain Shai.... At last I’m coming out of this cockpit. Corran Horn, Jedi Knight and Rogue Squadron pilot thought to himself. He was climbing down the ladder of his new X-wing, while the mechanics crew got Whistler out of his socket in the X-Wings back. With some regret he admitted to himself that he was getting too old for flying around. Mirax better not hear any of these or old Booster will have my skin. Still, Corran showed the signs of entering a more mature age. And it’s not only the fact that I’m nostalgic about the past, when our enemy flew in easy-kill eyeballs. The green-eyed Jedi dressed in a standard New Republic flightsuit walked his way past the other pilots and mechanics. Some of them looked at him with deep respect knowing his role in the history of the New Republic. They greeted him and cheered the victory at Borleias, despite the loss of their base, triumph was in their minds. Right now they were all heroes. Few, mourned quietly for their fallen comrades, and it did not take much to convince them to leave worrying for another time and enjoy all chance they got for celebration. One hand then touched his shoulder. Corran did not even have to use his Jedi powers to know who it was. “I heard you took on a whole squad of skips,” Corran mused. “Are you planning to take Rogue Squadron over?” Wedge Antilles, another flying fossil who had appeared in the Battle at Borleias and vanquished more skips than any other pilot, including Jaina Solo, grinned. “I heard you took your share of the enemy too, seven skips, huh?” Corran waved the comment away. “All rookies, I’ve had harder dogfights with a sluggish Hutt.” Their ship, the recently built destroyer Mon Mothma had state of the art installations, still the corridor leading from the hangar to the pilot debriefing rooms and barracks had several other intersections that led to other sections of the ship. The ship had been part of Wedge’s task force since prior to the Battle of Coruscant, now months ago, some of the people that escaped Coruscant, mostly administrators and members of the Senate chose to seek refuge among the warships. Wedge had allowed some of them to land and most of them left during the time the ship was at Borleias. Still some people that passed by looked nothing like the crew of a warship. “Some people have not yet left?” Corran said pointing vaguely at a couple dressed in government garments, from the cut they looked like Thyferrans. “Or are you trying to get some high-nosed Thyferran into the Resistance?” Wedge shook his head. “No, they haven’t left, and yes I’ve contacted a friend of yours. Bror Jace. I haven’t told him about the resistance but I’ve been bargaining with him to get bacta at reasonable prices.” Corran looked at him wondering privately how much Wedge resembled a Garm Bel Iblis or a Jan Dodonna. “Sounding too much like a senior general, ain’t I?” Wedge asked with a sigh. “I didn’t want to mention it but ye…” At that moment Corran saw her. Her was not human, her did not attract his eyes because of her physique, her only brought back memories of pain. Memories of pain unlike those he had every time he saw a historical documental about Ysanne Isard or Imperial Intelligence. Instead pain such like the loss of a friend, because Her was Reliqy A’Kla, daughter to his friend Elegos A’Kla who had been slain by the Yuuzhan Vong before the first year of the invasion was over. Wedge who noticed his friend sudden interest in the young Caamasi looked at her. “Yes, Reliqy, I feared that she stayed here although I told her to leave before, and the government on Mon Calamari is urging here to go there, she insists on being here. Come with me, I think Gavin won’t need help for counting his surviving pilots.” Wedge put a strong hand on his back and Corran walked with him. Corran felt embarrassed, the last time he had looked at a Caamasi it had been Elegos’s bones. The golden bathed bones incrusted with gems. Because of his role at Ithor he had not been allowed to assist to Elegos’s memorial and had had to see it from a distance on Coruscant. He had too avoided any contact with Reliqy after Ithor during his time on Corellia. Corran knew he would have collapsed if he had spoken to Reliqy then, the Corellian Jedi still felt like he had betrayed her father at swearing revenge and challeging the Yuuzhan Vong commander to a duel, that he won and lost at the same time. He won, otherwise he would not have been alive, but he lost the planet Ithor and its bafforr trees, capable of producing a substance that could be used against the Vong. Having to confront Reliqy and tell her about his actions caused by her father’s death would have been too much for him. The love Corran had for the memory of his friend was too strong, admitting his actions to Reliqy would be one more slash at the memory. “Reliqy!” Wedge called and the golden Caamasi turned her head to see the waving Wedge call her. She nodded and walked over to them. Corran now under control looked at her with a smile on his face. Seeing a Caamasi was always a good thing. “I greet you General Antilles. You too Colonel Horn.” She said ceremonially. “Please, no formalities.” Corran made a wavelike gesture to underline his dismissal. For a long moment they just looked at each other, Corran, Wedge and Reliqy. “I’m sorry, Reliqy.” Corran heard himself say, but somehow words were missing. Words like, I failed your father. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wil be writing more about it when I get time....
  22. Excellent start Elvis, just one comment Mon Mothma is dead by that time. Seeing Kyle in NJO is nice. I hope you get the time to write more. I'm actually working on a Corran story in NJO. I think I'll post the start of it too...

Yooho, got promoted again.... How I came to Major after Lieutenant Commander is weird, I thought I would become a Commander....

First, what's the preliminar Shiplist? And who is workin gon their stats? Second, why not the Eidolon, which interdictor will the Rebels have? No CC-7700 in any book or comic.
  25. I wasn't thinking of using the scan of the Njo map as the background in Reb Reloaded, instead I just wondered if we would use the sectors as they appear in the NJO map. Here's the map: http://www.geocities.com/julian_enano/map-bp.jpg If it doesn't work here are the links http://www.geocities.com/julian_enano/map-bp.jpg http://www32.brinkster.com/trejiuvanat/map-bp.jpg
