Well, there's some French in English and some English in French, but most of the not-exact linguistic links are actually from Latin.

I will do such too. Some of you argue that God goofed and made up evil... well, there are some issues with that. 1. Seeing as most of such seems to be rleating to the Judaeo-Christian God, you must use the applicable Creation story. God didn't create evil, he merely gave man and the angels the ability to choose to bring it into being. PS: And if that does not phaze you, there is always the argument that 'evil is the absence of God.' -
Regardless, it mostly comes straight out of Latin. That's evident by Day 2 of any Latin course. Trust me on this one.

Sorry to revive an old thread, (not like Tofu hasn't provided plenty of exampels how] but I wanted to make a coupel comments. In regards to the last panel of comic strip 8, "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent." In regard to Latin: As a Latin scholar myself, I understood all of this stuff, but was really hoping for something mroe sophisticated... like Carpe Diem - the god of fish. [True story: my Latin teacher's first year Latin, first class. Prof asks what carpe diem means...]
