Er... Right sorry. That would be helpfull too. Or even better have the option to switch the ship display order by differeent means. Display by: -Ship value -Day built -Carrying capacity -etc

No plans to get any. If I'm going to be some place out of the house listening to music, it'll be in my car, on the radio.

MUAHAHAHAAHA!!!! I has actually thinking about something like this last month but said "screw it" to myself because I was dealing with enough things. (To Self: You don't need to start another thread. You can't even keep up with your NJO project let alone that Star Destroyer names listing you keep thinking about. ) I was thinking though not just about formations, but how best to create balanced fleets for each side. It's hard to do for the Rebels because thier ships are so mixed about. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Formation%20-%20Piramid.GIF This was my idea for an ideal Imperial mixed formation. The core of the fleet made up of the heavier ships and a variety of smaller ships close by to fill any needs. I've used most of the short forms of ships from XWA though I shortened some. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Formation%20-%20Piramid%20Imp.GIF This would be used more for balancing fleet ship numbers, with a pyramid showing ships of descending size, power and importance.

The Mon Mothma and it's sister ship were built to look like ships of the ISD family. (Either a I or II.) They were slightly more powerful than an ISDII and of course had concealed gravity well projectors. I'm guessing that the builders sacrificed room that would have been ment for troops to install the projectors. They still carry ground troops but maybe only half of what older Empire Era ships would have aboard. After all, the NR has never been as reliant upon ground forces as the Imperials were. I'd probably list the Mon Mothma under an Interdictor grouping of ships along with the Dominator. PS: Sorry I haven't done more work on the name listing yet, I keep getting runover with work and writing. That compiled list above looks prity impressive though.

One of those minor details that can turn out to be important when you least expect it.

Hopefully it's better than the last one. Everytime I tried to play it on a console it was like my brain was trying to claw it's way out of my skull. I always lost, even on easy and the controlls always seemed really really akward.

Well Jahled we still have to see how long the HALO and CSS craze(s) keep up. They've both been going for awhile now. Hopefully the Rebellion following keeps going. Why if anything, I'd say the game is more popular now than it was 3 years ago. I was wondering, should we all PM this 3nn person to say hello and say how lucky they are to get number 4000 ?

I've inadvertently been ending op at the site for several years now. Like whenever I re-installed Rebellion or X-wing Alliance, had my computer wiped, struck by lightning, etc. Every so often I'd just end up coming back to playing Rebellion mabey once or twice a year. Eventually I started looking into mods and such for the game and looked into the forums too. After my whirlwind tour of China and return I decided to get into Rebellion again and joined the forums as well as SWGalacticcivilwar. Though I haven't contributed as much to the second as I'd hoped.

Man as I'm going through this I'm getting the feeling that Jacen's good/evil alignment kind of paralels George Lucas' own descent into the Corporate Darkside. He has the incredible power, and he's trying to do good but his world view is slowly starting to be corrupted by what he now has. EDIT: That wasn't an ending for a book! That was a Halo 2 ending! *Shakes head*

I vote for the in-battle music. It'd be nice to just get the straight battle music from the original movies in there, not like when you're in galaxy view.
-
I just started reading this book so no spoilers at the moment. Everybody seems to be staying in character though. I miss the days of Jag and Jania being together! *cries*

Sorry none of the stores arround here sell TIE Fighter. Wow, good work. I'll have to check though that list more carefully later to pick out the ones that arn't in the main list so far. Thanks.

Interesting work Jahled. One of the best rendered Red [X]'s of death I've ever seen.

Actually I was thinking that what we really needed was a new Alleigance Model. I'm sorry, very, very sorry but both of the current ones look look like a scaled-up ISDII. Hanger bay and reactor bulge and all. Looking kinda like this. http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/books/egvv/isd-eg1.gif Instead of more like this. http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/comics/de/destroyer1.jpg http://warlords.swrebellion.com/shipdbimages/allegiance.png http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/comics/de/destroyer2.jpg

I must bring the entire galaxy to the edge of despair. The fate of worlds must balance upon the edge of a knife. Darkness shall engull all and my Sith warriors (now in training) will become towering pillars of might, holding aloft the new Empire, scoured from the flames of the old! All shall love me and despair! EDIT: More story to follow as soon as I play some more.

New Jedi Order [s]Total Conversion[/s] MOD
Defender_16 replied to Defender_16's topic in Rebellion Editing
My model importer has decided it doesn't like me anymore and is basically saying "screw you" to me all the time now. Even the older models wont import now for some reason. Give me awhile to work through it. EDIT: Interesting. Looks good. Perfect sizing and scale, etc. (Red Alert-esq MISSION ACCOMPLISHED lol ) Just have to ask one thing; Is my computer a piece of crap (my computer is indeed a piece of crap) or is it all a single texture on the outside? I just want to know is all, because sometimes stuff doesnt show up for me in game. -
Saw that on CNN the other day. They only had still shots of it on, but at that depth most video equpment would be having trouble. *Looks again.* Jesus that things prity big.

Any text in colour is not part ot the story. To your last question about Imperial fleet size, Yes I'm currently using RebEd to reduce the maintinence points to 1 on almost everything in the galaxy. I Also switched the construction costs arround for about 100 days to build up those huge fleets. My plan is to have nearly the entire galaxy go into uprising against me (the Empire) and have all of the construction yards in the galaxy destroyed leaving only some shipyards and training facilities. I'll try and see how long it takes for the Rebellion to wear down my armada. I've Rebuilt the Shipyards on Mon Cal and other places I've taken that still support the Rebels. It should be interesting.

"Our military is shaky at best right now. We have a handfull of powerfull ships but they arn't much good on their own. The Mon Remonda and Independence are both on their way to the main headquaters to pick up needed supplies and equipment as well as Admiral Ackbar. One of our Super Star Destroyers is at Duro pulling out the last of our forces in that sector, we're hoping to get them under way before the Armada at Corellia figures out where they are. The other Super Star Destroyer is on a hit and fade mission to Kothlis. We're hoping to get that group in and hit the Imperial Garrisons in the sector and get out before a major response begins. All others forces are regrouping at Abregado to defend the shipyard long enough to build up some starfighter forces. The exception to the widthdrawl are the A-Wings squadrons at Ithor and Akrit'tar. " Ozzle spoke up. "Akrit'tar was abondoned as penal colony by the Empire many years ago and since have been moving prisoners arround the core. Most of them are put to work on various secret projects where it doesn't matter if they are killed off afterwords. My point in this is that Akrit'tar would make an ideal rear base at the moment. We just moved the units at F'tral to Ithor why not keep it up and move just a little bit furtheur away from this threat." "Proximity will only buy us time, but at the moment we could use it." Said Wedge. "But at Abregado we're effectively boxed in. Most of the surrounding systems have recently been probed and not long after we had assaults on the other systems we held in the sector. I would like permission to begin rigging the shipyards here with explosives. The last thing we need is another Imperial shipyard." Ackbar remained silent but both Drayson and Rieekan nooded in agreement. "I'm against it." Said Madine. "If we can run when the time comes and then retake the yards quickily and efficiently after the worst of the Imperial force is gone it'll give us a sizeable edge in the sector." "Perhaps the military commanders can discuss this in more detail after we have finished the meeting." Interrupted Mon Mothma. Both men nodded and Wedge resumed the breifing. "Moving on to this new threat that we've been fighting. It's been most of a year now since The Empire launched it's grand Armada against us. This fleet consists of eight standard KDY Super Star Destroyers, twenty ISDII's, eighty ISD's, one hundred Dreadnaughts and arround two hundred other support ships, mostly consisting of Carrack Cruisers and Nebulon B Frigates. The arrival of this fleet in a system is normally haralded by a group of Dominator class Interdictor Cruisers. These ships crank up their gravity wells then drag the armada out of hyperspace in near perfect formation. In most cases the fleet would conduct an initial Military bombardment destroying any of our troops on the ground and the shield generators. Depending on the planet they would then move on to either a Civilian or General Bombardment. Sluis Van was one of the first to suffer a General Bombardment, which is no supprise considering the trouble it's caused for the Empire. Other planets such as Orto, Denab, Kothlis, even Mon Cal were spared heavy damage to their energy resources. After clearing out our forces in the Sluis sector the armada relocated to the Corellian sector where they performed the same sort of sector clearing. They settled in over Corellia for a few months untill recently. A short time after their armada settled in at Corellia, their Death Star appeared in the Dolomar sector. We know that it is currently still in that sector, over one of the two planets equipped with Death Star shields. They have only really used it twice and then only to assist planetary assaults. It stayed in orbit of Kamparas while they secured our shipyards there, escorted by a fleet of thirty Victory Destroyers. Later a similar attack was performed on Omwat. Not long after all of that, ships resembeling Alleigance class Super Star Destroyers began appearing. They carry a standard amount of weapons for a ship their size but less in the way of Ion Cannons. They normally carry no fighters but instead are full of ground troops. They're some type of Stromtrooper from what intelligence tells us but more numerous. Most of our people think that it's a clone army." He keyed in several numbers in his datapad and a holographic map came up showing the Sluis Sector. "These mystery ships have been showing up over all of the planets that the Armada destroyed and taking them over. Orto has become their main staging point in the sector after they took control of the new construction yards we built there. Mon Calimari is in uprising but the Imperials have still been able to establish new planetary shields there." Dodonna spoke up. "They're battening down the hatches on their new aquisitions. It will be next to impossible to get them out of there when the shields are finished." "Actually the last generators become operational tomorrow for the planets that have any power grip left. We do know that we can hurt these ships and drive them off. At Phorliss the planet's superior starfighter defenses were able to badly cripple one of these new ships along with it's smaller escorts. Unfortunately they came back with eight Lancer Frigates escorting them a week later and took the planet. At the moment we don't know what the inside of these ships are like so there's no telling how many troops they can carry for sure."

A Carbon scorred YT-2400 light freighter dropped out of hyperspace in the skies above F'tral. From orbit the planet looked like one of any other number of planets in the Outer Rim Territories. Mon Mothma looked through the viewports as they began their run into the atmosphere. They were coming down over the planets largest ocean, at the edge of which was a small base that the Rebellion had established more than a year ago. No, it wasn't small. She mentally corrected herself. It was just a worthless speck until a few months ago, now it was one of the largest facilities they had left. Drayson spoke up from behind her. "Would you like to strap in Mon Mothma? I'm sure there's bound to be some turbulence when we get lower." She shook her head in response. "That's quite alright General. Dash has things well under controll I'm sure." "Don't worry about a thing. Even with this much damage the Outrider'll fly as smooth as sheer silk." said Dash Rendar, flashing an insuferable grin at his passengers. Just as promised the flight was a smooth one. In minutes they were gliding over water and low waves on repulsors. Ahead set into a cliff face was a hanger bay that looked as if it had been transplanted from a Calimari Star Cruiser. An A-Wing escorted them to the bay entrance then headed toward space. A flight officer directed them to an open berth where Dash skillfully spun the ship in place so that it could take off more quickily if needed. Surrounding the Outrider were a half dozen other vehicles and shuttles in various states of repair. "Thank you again Dash, I hope you'll be arround for a few more days, we may need you again for any number of things." "As long as the Alliance can spare some change to keep me in business then I'm here as long as you need me." Commented Dash as he helped Mon Mothma off the ship. A handfull of troopers were waiting for them at the base of the ramp and called for a medic as soon as they saw the condition the passengers were in. Both had been wounded durring their escape from a Lancer Frigate that had been transferring them to a nearby Imperial garrison world. If not for Rendar's fortunate timing both would have been captured again or killed. + + + It was only a day later when Mon Mothma called a meeting of the Alliance Counsel. She was still swathed in Bacta bandages when she arrived. Two Medics were given special security clearance so that they could be present durring the meeting. At the head of the table were those that were in actual attendance, the others attending by way of the Holo Net were mostly on the other side of the large rounded table. Counselor Fey'lya say at Mon Mothma's right then Generals Madine and Rieekan with a patched up Drayson on her left. Next to Drason was a holo of Dodonna, then Commander Antillies, Page, Captain Neva, Tura Raftican, Admiral Ackbar and Lando Calrisian. The empty space between Lando's hologram and Rieekan materilized a moment later showing the former Imperial Admiral Ozzel. "I Think it's failry obvious why I called the counsel." Mon Mothma began. "In the last few months the Rebel Alliance has suffered it's worst setbacks in years." She looked at each sitting arround the table. "We need to discuss what exactally is happening, how it has happened and what we all intend to do about it. If we don't start becoming remarkably more effective in a short period then I fear our time may be at an end." She paused for a moment to take in the others expressions. All of them were worn weary and her words didn't supprise any of them. "First I think we should begin with the diplomatic situation. Counselor Fey'lya if you would please." Fey'lya stood, showing none of the ususal cunning or intensity that he brought with him to any political debate. But he roused himself out of it and began his speach. "Our political position such as it is could still be worse but not by much. We have a large following of supporting worlds that would very much like to contribute to us in any means. Our problem is that any that haven't been occupied by large numbers of Imperial troops have suffered general bombardment. Their infrastructure is in such a state that it could quite possibly never be rebuilt. Worlds such as Sullust, Sluis Van and Bothawui would be of use only as minor staging points with not enough energy resources to even support a mine or shield generator. Much of the Corellian Sector is in a similar situation. Our Diplomatic corps. is in the procell of re-establishing itself in neutral sections of the outer rim. Our support in the Core is cut off from us unless we can overthrow the forces stationed in those regions." "Thank you Counselor that will do. I think this leads us to the next item; the status of our fleet and fighting strength. Admiral Ackbar?" "I will defer to Commander Antillies... for the moment... I'm afraid that my injuries... prohibit my ability to speak for... extended periods." "Very well. Commander?"

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron - The Television Series
Defender_16 replied to Texas_Fett's topic in General Discussion
Darn it you beat me to it! Lawson had to be a a funeral the day that the scene was shot but begged GL to let him stay in the rest of the shots. Hmm... If there was going to be a TV Series I think an animated version would be better because then you could get some of the original actors to voice act for some parts. The sound editors could tweak the sound just enough so that they didn't sound quite as old for stories set back in the Thrawn era and that. All that would be needed are examples of the actors voices from between now and when the original movies were made to make the right adjustments. Easy enough for most of them since they stayed busy. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Wing Commander series etc. -
That's not true...THAT's IMPOSSIBLE!!! (Seriously, the original 3 rock. I hadn't really noticed any bad acting in Star Wars until EP.1 came out. )

The ships under Piett's command are not so indirectly under Vader's Command since he spends a great deal of time running arround with a fleet of differing size. The Chimaera ( Spelled Chimera in the Dictionary I was using and on the Destroyer list page I already searched.) is kind of confusing for me. The second spelling referres to the ISDII used by Pelleaon through most of his career. Flagship for Thrawn, abandoned at Duro durring Shadow Hand, Refurbished by the NR and then stolen and returned to the Imperial fleet. You gotta love a ship like that. I read somewhere about an ISD with the same name and that it might have been possible that it was upgraded to the newer class? I Dunno. One of those things I really don't want to go on a quest to find out about. EDIT: My desision to put ISDII next to it is more of a suggestion then, since the ship kicks so much ass in the books, it might as well be a Mark 2 in the game in order to equal the combat level. If anyone else can list some names that sound like they might fit an Imperial Star Destroyer that'd be great. I'll be doing more of 'C' and later some 'D' so if people can look into the later letters that'd be great. I'll then add them to the list in the first post.
