I always considered my local county community college "13th grade", on the part that it was just an extension of high school, as in the same people were there, the course work was the exact same stuff we did in high school (and not challenging), and I still attended it while living at my parents. Let me tell you, it left me very ill-prepared for when I went to "real" college. Sorry, I just love bashing on community colleges.

I didnt hate Force Unleashed at all. I would have to say: Sacred 2 Fallout 3 (Sorry there's no Star Wars in there, hopefully next year we will get Battlefront III)

Has anyone read this series yet? Its apparently up to the fifth book in the series, and the series takes place during the original trilogy. From the look of the covers, since I see Vader, Luke, and co., Im assuming it actually takes place between ANH and ESB. I was wondering if they were good reads, or just a bunch of rubbish.

I just finished watching it. All I can say is that EVERYONE HERE MUST WATCH IT!!! Of course it is a great hour and a half of constant SW references and whatnot, but its so much more. Its a really, REALLY funny movie, and you dont have to be a SW fan to enjoy it. I got the misses to watch it, and she loved it too. Some awesome cameos too, with Billy Dee Williams, Carrie Fisher, and William Shattner. I was not expecting it to be this great, based on the fact that I heard nothing about it. But in all seriousness, you should all check it out. Its a very, very good flick.

That I do...I dont know how I missed that... Well if anything, the trailer is so great it deserves two posts.

Prepare to drool... The trailer for The Old Republic was revealed at E3 yesterday. Its an MMO for the PC, but is being considered for the PS3 and 360. You gotta check it out...it looks amazing.

Sorry to hear about all thats going on over their in Mad Land. I know how much it hurts to lose a loved family pet. I think Tofu gave some good advice. Its good to be amongst others during these times, and I think it will be most beneficial to you to have a study group to help you focus on your upcoming exam. Good luck with everything. I dont want to sound like a jerk or a pessimist, but things will turn around and get better. They always do.

Im going to go ahead and guess that no, the 360 and the PC work on two different servers/whatever you want to call it, so you wont be able to play someone on the 360. But thats just a guess...Im not 100% sure on it.

So the movie came out last week on DVD. I thought it was going to be in theaters, but it must have been a straight to DVD film. Its on my Netflix queue, so hopefully I'll be getting it in by next week.

Yeah, thats our plan...right after the holiday. I dont plan on teaching full-time by then. Since I wont be certified until December/January, I dont expect to be landing a teaching job until next Fall.

Dude, that is soooo cool. I loved Islands of Adventure when we went a few years back. That was a smart move on your part. Our senior trip took us to Six Flags Great Adventure, and it was so crowded and annoying to have to follow the school's "schedule" for the days events. Im glad to here how dead it was there. The misses and I bumped up our wedding to May 30 2010, so we will be heading down to Disney World for our honeymoon in early June rather than early July. Im hoping that it is still that dead around that time. I hate crowds and whatnot.

Dont go too crazy. My high school graduation night was one of the craziest of my life...

Just wanted to re-state how awesome Sacred 2 is. Its on the PS3, 360, and PC, so everyone here should be playing it on some platform or other. Its a nice hack-and-slash dungeon crawler which reminds me of the likes of Baldurs Gate and Champions of Norrath, but in an open-ended world where you go anywhere you want. Six specialized classes to choose from. Good and evil quests/story. Heck of a lot of fun. Still waiting for my buddy to buy it so that I can play online.

Congrats buddy! Hope you have a blast in college. Just remember to steer clear of those ridiculous frats, and you'll be fine. And just to toot my own horn here, this is my last semester, so I'll be graduating in December with my Masters!!!

We enjoyed Star Trek. It was a nice action-paced sci-fi film. Bonus that the misses enjoyed it as well. Shes generally not into sci-fi. I didnt like the time-travel part with Spock meeting Spock. I guess in my own personal mind, I like to believe that a person cannot see their future selves. I mean, I would think that if I was shopping in Wal-Mart and all of a sudden a 40-year old version of me came up and said "Rob it me, Rob. Im your future self", then I would freak out, go crazy, and have a heart attack. But then again, Vulcans are rational, calculating beings, so I guess they could survive seeing a future version of themselves. Overall, great film! I look forward to sequels.

@LLF- Just watch out for poisoned figs/dates! Let your monkey eat them first.

The misses and I are going to see Star Trek on Thursday. I was never into Star Trek, so Im going in with a clean slate, and will accept it for what it is, not basing or judging it on anything else. In other movie news, who else is somewhat skeptical about the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie?

Yeah, its pretty out of date, and it is done by another company like E said. My dad's old business van can still be seen at our house, and thats been sold for about three years now.
