  1. Is that mandatory of all citizens over in Chocolate Land at some point?
  2. Hopefully more of us come out of the woodwork. It sure is quiet around here these days...
  3. Happy Thanksgiving!
  4. Thats pretty much one of the awesomest Facebook-related things I have ever seen
  5. Tex my friend, I am in your debt...
  6. What is that? Sounds fun.
  7. Yeah, we booked with one of Disney's "moderate priced" resorts...The Caribbean Beach.
  8. I watched GI Joe last week, and I didnt think it was half bad. It is important to note that I never watched the series or had the toys growing up (I was into other franchises, and for some reason never got into it) so its not like I had expectations or hopes for it. While I agree that it was ridiculously over the top in terms of technology, that didnt bother me so much. I felt that the story was decent, making the movie itself "decent". Its not a movie I would want to watch again anytime soon, or that I want to go out and buy it on DVD now, but I dont regret watching it.
  9. I had never heard of Avatar until I saw the trailer for the movie. It seems interesting enough to me, but I had no idea it was based on previous works.
  10. That we have. The past few months have been ridiculous. We had to meet like five of each vendor before she was happy enough to select one, so that was a time-consuming process. Finding a church was a bit of a challenge since we wanted a Sunday wedding, and most churches up here dont do Sunday ceremonies. We actually ended up leaving our old church to move on to a new one that was willing to give us the wedding. But pretty much everything is booked, aside from the limo and the rehearsal dinner caterer. We also booked our honeymoon, which is going to be in Walt Disney World. While we wanted to go out of the country for it, we figured that by staying in the US (and spending less on air travel) we could spend more on the actual honeymoon. Plus, the summer after the wedding (2011) we are planning a "family" vacation to go to Italy with my parents, sister, and bro-in-law, so we know that we will be going to Europe in the near future.
  11. Sorry for the long absence guys. Its been quite hectic around here. Ive been student teaching at a high school full time (teaching two AP classes and two "remedial" classes), so basically I pay my school $10,000 to do someones elses job while they sit back and relax. On top of that I am taking 13 credits at the college, so thats where most of my time has gone. Any time in between has been devoted to planning our upcoming wedding in May. However, today is my last actual day of student teaching. Starting tomorrow, we transition control of the class back to the teacher, and I get to sit back and relax for the next week. I can use this time to finalize all my college work, as well as start working on a resume and portfolio so I can start looking for a job after I graduate and get certified (graduate on Dec. 6, certification from the state should come by mid-January). Now that things are getting back to normal, I will be around here, trying to catch up. I missed goofing off around here...its good to be back!
  12. Wow, that sounds rough dude, but it also sounds like you're enjoying the pluses of college life. Keep up the good work!
  13. I tried TF2 on the PS3 once, and I didnt like it. Im seems like an awesome game, but it just didnt port over to the PS3 well. That, and there was a huge lack of people to play with online. I did enjoy Portal and HL though.
  14. Good luck out in the college world dude! Just dont be a fool like me and spend the next nine years there!
  15. That's some nice work K! That could be a modified Chimera in my opinion.
  16. Yeah, sorry K, but I gotta second Mad on that one. I can assure you that you will be fairly lost seeing how there were five movies prior to this one. I'll hopefully get a chance to go next week sometime.
  17. Just saw Transformers 2, and I agree...a bunch of visually cool stuff happens, but not much of a story to tie it all together. Also, I said it with Star Wars (especially Phantom Menace) and I'll say it again...why do movies have this need to be racist? There are these two gangsta cars in Transformers 2 which are so blatantly racist its ridiculous. It was so annoying...
  18. I must buy this now for my future kids
  19. The director is Kevin Smith, and he is known for making profane, raunchy movies. I liked Zack and Miri, although his other movies are a lot better.
  20. I was never a fan of Michael Jackson. He always creeped me out. To me, I will always remember him for his work on the Simpsons: http://www.bigbadbob113.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/mj-homer.jpg
  21. I was going to see Transformers early next week, but we're pushing it back in order to see the Hangover. Thus I'll check out Transformers in about two weeks. From what Ive heard so far, its not like Im missing all that much...
  22. Congrats Mad!!!
  23. I totally agree with your first point. Indiana Jones is indeed based on religion. My ideal Indy IV would have been "Indiana Jones and the Spear of Destiny."
  24. That is sooo freakin awesome!
  25. It wasnt Ford I was upset with, but just the general story for Crystal Skull. I mean, he still looks great and does the part awesome, but he has to follow what is written, and that just happened to be a pile of rubbish. I definitely dont want to see an Indy V if its going to be a continuation of the junk that IV was.
