What?? I don't get your argument: if people continue to make new things, it will get boring. Well what if people don't add anything: it gets boring! I'm a big fan of the Expanded Universe. Its a lot of fun, there's always something different that is happening. Why do the movie canon purists try and take the fun away from those Star Wars fans who want more? Star Wars isn't about nitpicking on the quality of authors and writing. Its about imagination and finding yourself lost in a universe that can be just as "real" as you want it to be. Anyone can find a character to relate to in the Star Wars universe. If its not the "die hard" SW fans that supports it, who will? Many of the novels become New York Times best sellers. There is a high interest in many SW arenas... comic books, video games, roleplaying, etc. If anything, Star Wars is more alive because of them. As long as there is an audience, there will be Star Wars material. Sure it isn't all to the same standard of quality, but what is?? Why not try it anyway and see if you like it? I dislike the NJO-haters that tried to slam it, before actually reading it themselves. What is it about something new that scares people? It isn't going to suddenly make their precious Star Wars "canon-ness" into anything less. In fact, the movies will always trump over other materials. So take from Star Wars what you will. If you don't like something, fine... but don't try to take away from others who actually do enjoy the new stuff that comes from the Expanded Universe.
