You consider the game is set to release in October.. so something must already be done. I think they are just tweaking their online infrastructure.

What do you mean? There is an XBox 360 version coming out later, but who would want to play RTS on a console anyway? Besides, isn't Windows Live going to translate easily into XBox Live? I thought it was pretty much the same system.

http://www.sega.com/uawbeta/ Universe at War, by the developers of Empire at War - Petroglyph, has released a beta. It is currently multiplayer-only and features two 2-player maps. You'll need an activation code from Sega along with a Windows Live account. If anyone has one and wants to try a game, just message me sometime

Dead Rising.. killing zombies. It's not bad for the first few hours, then you realize the entire game is killing zombies with whatever you can find. I much prefer mosters that don't just walk around slowly toward you. Doom anyone?

I started on Animorphs.. they were excellant. But as it kept going, I lost interest (or time given other interests like Star Wars). I read most of the Chronicles books, which were more standalone backstory .. I remember them being very good.
