  1. I don't believe the little red one is Shaak Ti. It is Anakin's new padawan, Ahsoka Tano - a character developed specifically for the series.
  2. Lovely
  3. Cool graphics, I'd love some work for the SWR main page sometime. Hoping to showcase some mods... Warlords being the premier one. I guess I should add my name here. I'm here as part of the web team and technical staff. I admit I haven't played Sins yet, very few time to play, but I hope to get some time soon to really try it out and help the mod. Resources like file hosting and SVN services should be no problem. I can do some scripting, I'll let Eville decide how he wants to run things.
  4. Talk about The Clone Wars - new TV series that will start this fall. http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/news/announcement.html First a feature film in August followed by the TV series. Hope LucasFilms gets it right this time If you haven't seen it yet, the Sneak Peak Trailer is here http://www.starwars.com/video/view/478.html
  5. The rumors are finally proved right... It's time they got this out http://www.pcgamer.com/archives/2008/02/21208_-_red_ale.html
  6. Adobe Captivate is the nice one used for software demos and so forth. It is an Adobe product though, so its not free.
  7. I've been fighting the CSS stylesheet, but I cannot always get it to do what I want
  8. Some of the new code is the autologin - that is, it should automatically log you in if you are logged into the site. I'll try to see if I can replicate and fix this
  9. I'll try to fix that
  10. I can create subforums... and subforums of subforums.. and subforums of subforums of subforums... It will help for what I have planned for the site and the forums Save, apparently, saves a draft. Too bad I don't think it autosaves nor loads up the draft immediately. That would be rather sweet
  11. Post count was different because I didn't change the style sheet. I'll be making tweaks as I find various issues I'll try leaving the fonts off for the postbody and see if that's better
  12. I believe its fixed. I did try to match the font as best I could. I don't know why its defaulting to a different one... Web Developer is telling me they are using the same font class. Any CSS experts want to crack this? phpBB3 switched to a UTF-8 encoding. I'm not sure why its making all those characters funky
  13. Finally I've moved everything over to the new forums - phpBB3. Some pretty neat features on this board, but I've tried my best to keep the same layout. As you may have seen, some troubles.... - phpBB3 does not support HTML in signatures for security reasons. As such, you will need to use the Profile to go and edit your signature. - Your account is linked against the main SWRebellion account. You should not have to worry about logins, however this has only been tested with Firefox and Internet Explorer Give me some feedback and reports of troubles (if you can get on this thread)
  14. Ron Paul - I know he's not going to win, but he's the only one the represents my views (he's a Libertarian running as a Republican). He is one of the two supporting Fair Tax .. the other is Mike Huckabee
  15. Slight change to the URL (hopefully all the linked threads will redirect properly) And an upgrade to SMF v1.1.4 Let me know if anything breaks
  16. Yea this earlier Mediawiki version did not have an easy way to do that. I am going to update it when I get the time and play with the settings
  17. It works as intended, a system will go neutral if there aren't any of the opposing troops to enforce order. If the uprising reaches an appropriate level where it cannot be suppressed, then the entire system will turn to your side and remove all the opposing troops. It's more efficient to start an uprising where the enemy does have troops. If the uprising is successful, the system turns and raises loyalty to your side in other systems in the sector.
  18. I'm not saying PC games are going to die. But if developers continue to get turned to the PC, I'd expect much more money to flow that way. It's cyclical. Gamers flock to the systems with the games they want to play and developers develop for the systems that sell. This comment is just another point http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/14050
  19. As far as I remember, none of the Cards from our card database are .rar. If you are using other sites, then you'll have to go to the creator about that
  20. You don't want to know how many asian sitcoms there are ...
  21. I have acquired a lot of stuff It has a backup of all my Windows machines and acts a media server for videos, music, and photos. It's all in one computer, so yea.. it's catastrophe if the system explodes or something. But its designed to handle the failure of one disk. Even if its the system disk, you can do a server reinstall and it will rebuild the entire database through the rest of the data on the other hard drives. The only thing is it is slow. Much slower than any hardware controller. But hardware controllers are expensive and not really expandable the way I'd want. (I have a mix of various sized drives in the system)
  22. Well I bought whatever they had at Fry's. The only one they still sell with 2 IDE cables actually - the Asus P5N-E. It's an nForce 650i chipset (not the top 680i) that's pretty similar in design to my previous Asus nForce4 board. But I don't need top-of-the-line for my Windows Home Server machine. It's just a big box full of hard drives. I guess no harm showing this off... http://www.swrebellion.com/evaders99/whs.jpg It's stocked with 3 of those 750 GB WD drives from Newegg at $150. I got them over holiday deals (esp one with the Paypal 20% cashback for a day). If you're looking for a backup solution and have a free computer to spare (or just want to buy a prebuilt solution), Windows Home Server may be good for you. It's a kind-of software RAID 1 - file duplication on two seperate drives, but you can place any amount of hard drives in different capacities.
  23. This looks like numbers from the North American market http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/50939
  24. You consider only 14% of game sales were PC games... of course they are shaking. In RTS world, even they are trying to move towards consoles.. consider - Supreme Commander - developing a version for the XBox 360 - Halo Wars - developed exclusively for the XBox 360 (no PC version announced)
  25. I see no reference to a PC version http://www.gametrailers.com/game/3067.html (or on any other site) - I believe its deliberately a console-only game.
