  1. Don't feel bad Mad, most Korean MMORPGs are very "hard core". I used to play Lineage II, and let me tell you, you really have to like that game to grind away at it long enough to get anywhere! I can't deny that Howard Shore is an excellent composer, but the score to that video simply attests to his lack of creativity. At least when John Williams does a score to something you don't stop and say "Wow, that sounds like Star Wars".
  2. I've seen some of them team members, and I have to agree with you . This is the captain of the team though. I think there were a few that were better looking than her, but of course their names never make the news.
  3. Hmm, was that a compliment or an insult DC? For me there will only be two events to watch: the Men's and Women's Hockey, and even the it will probably only be the final games that I watch. I think I feel another gold sweep for us.
  4. Take a look at what the second result it though Jahled. Granted, I found a few that were clearly government supported and slanting the tail of the massacre to their advantage. You also have to consider that Tiananment Square is a tourist attraction in China (well, what tourists there are), so there will be results leaning in that direction.
  5. I would have to agree with Scath on this one, though to be honest I do't think Google or Yahoo were being quite so pious when they expanded into China. More likely they were willing to bend for the financial gains they would recieve. However, I think it's not the place of another country to bring about political change within a country. If the people want it they will find a way to do it. Besides, I'm pretty sure there are some things that the American Government doesn't want you to see that Google would happily remove from their search results...
  6. I saw him in Shattered Glass and wasn't very impressed. His "acting" seems to be just as bad in it as it was in Episodes II and III.
  7. I've been reading CAD for a while now, and I agree it's pretty funny. It's gamer's humor, so I get it. They have an animated series now, though you have to pay for it (well, if you want it from them you do ).
  8. It's sort of hard to pin-point where the other three threads are. There have been so many that you have created with no apparent point .
  9. But is it the acting or the character you like? Maul is cool looking, does coold stuff, and is in all the cool scenes, but there isn't really acting on his part. The few lines he delivered were rather poor in quality, making the fight scenes his only bright poitn. But there again, a fight scene doesn't take acting skill, just the ability to dance with one or two other people. People often mistake a good character for good acting... unless you have Hayden portraying the character, in which case nothing can save you. I personally like Mark Hamill. I know, looking back, his acting is weak, but look at when the films were done and then you'll see that his acting was quite good for the time period (I'm sure if given the chance to do it again he would rise to the occasion). I could be biased since Luke is by-far my favorite Star Wars character (yes, even above Thrawn!).
  10. It's not often he gets the chance to correct Scath, so he jumps on it every time he can. .
  11. Well, I started off by doing the automatic install. It installed drivers but didn't give me any 3D support (no OpenGL or anything), so I re-did it using the custom mode and selected the SuSE 10.0 drivers... which completely screwed me over. It cannot find any screens anymore, so I can't "startx". Basically it will only boot to level 5. Any suggestions?
  12. My friend I don't know how to thank you! I just have to do a restart to ensure everything is alright.
  13. Well, maybe listing the file type will help. The ATI download program is in .run format. Right now I only know how to install tar.gz (or something to that effect) files, which are basically Linux zipped. Sadly without my graphics drivers I can't even take advantage of my OpenGL abilities.
  14. At the moment I'm using the operating system SuSE v10.00. This isn't my primary operating system as I much prefer the simplicity of Windows, however I needed a Linux system for school. As I'm new to the OS I was hoping that someone here would have knowledge of it and be able to lend me a hand with something. In order to update my graphics card drivers I have to install a Proprietary Driver Installer from ATI. The problem is, I can't figure out how the hell to install anything. I can click on the downloaded file, but it attempts to open it as a text file. I have a feeling I'll have to resort to the command line (not something I relish as I hate command lines and will have to learn how to use it in the first place), but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. That would be one idea. Coruscant would definitely have to be "Being Promoted in the Forums". If this is really going to happen I'd be more than happy to make a card for myself, and I'll replace Thrawn for simplicity. Just to remind people, if your name is not the same number of letters in length as the person you intend to replace, your name will either be cut off, or it will revert to the original characer name when you are given a rank(thought I think this can be remedied by playing with the command names in the DLLs). Also, your encyclopedia text will be limited by your character.
  16. I believe there was a saved game editor before RebEd came about, but it was combersom and confusing. You may be able to find it if you search the nether corners of the internet, but beware, you may return a changed person.
  17. Other than a small town in England, what exactly is Frimley? If it has no meaning, I can't see how this is of any consequence.
  18. I was rated as Grand Moff Tarkin. There was something about me keeping my "Grand Moff hairless" that I wasn't sure about
  19. A most happy birthday to you B&R. May you recieve all you ask for!
  20. I'm not sure of how true this story is, but it shows why carbon dating is not used as frequently any more. Another reason is that it is only accurate to a certain number of years (1000 if I'm not mistaken). There is another method of radioactive dating using Potassium-Argon. This is far more reliable and can date things in the millions of years in age.
  21. The rebels referrd to him as a Warlord if I'm not mistaken, but I do not believe he was ever entitled Warlord by any Imperial of great authority.
  22. Once I make it to 2000 I'll go back to being a Grand Admiral. There's just something appealing about that rank. It just sounds cool. I'm looking forward to hitting 2000 so I can take a "demotion"... it's not technically a demotion since Warlord isn't a real rank.
  23. It's possible that you're being charged with two different offences because there are slight variations between them allowing the state to hit you twice. The unfortunate part is that, if there is any prison time for this (not too sure how the US deals with this), you'll have to serve them concurrently.
  24. I know it's only the 30th, and that the new year is not officially here until midnight tomorrow, but as I'm leaving for Barrie tomorrow morning and probably won't have access to a computer for a week, I'd like to wish all of you a Happy New year ahead of time! I hope every one will have an enjoyable and memorable (though that doesn't mean you'll be able to remember it the next day ) New Year's Eve and I'll see you all on the 6th!
  25. Very cool B&R, and glad to have her along. I know we'll all be kind, even Tofu .
