  1. Guys, you're talking about Rebellion. I think callitri (Vincent ? Can't remember the movie, though) mean's eville's Warlords TC
  2. Looking hot, Krytos Since I know how much you want to keep the polycount as low as possible: do you have Photoshop ?
  3. Well, if you didn't want to say it at first, then why did you do it at all ? I'm too old for playing these games, so I won't give into your comments.
  4. No way This mod will be finished, come hell or high water. I'm sure everyone appreciates your input in getting the developer's attention to our community, but how can you simply expect us to drop everything we've been working so hard for ? I won't and I can't imagine, that the other people, who have stayed in our (Reloaded) development team all the time will give up either.
  5. Why shouldn't you upload your TC ? Come on, give it a go. The more the merrier
  6. You do have a full installation of the game on your harddrive and you didn't try to copy the files onto the cd via the explorer, right ? If you're using XP, then the explorer shouldn't even complain about copying write-protected files, otherwise you can right-click the files, go to properties and uncheck that option.
  7. Hmm, I haven't used it so far, but it changes the .dat files, IIRC. So perhaps you should copy the program into the GDATA folder and start it there, eh ?
  8. Problem solved.
  9. Welcome, stay a while and become equally addicted to these forums, as the rest of us already is
  10. Hmm, IIRC the maintenance value indicated the cost to uphold that unit. For example you can build an ISD, but it will need repairs, supplies, food for the crew, ... As I take it, that's what the cost includes. How difficult it is, to maintain that unit in working order. At least I think it is
  11. How about splitting your forces and catching that guy in a crossfire ?
  12. Yay, there's only one thing, that can cause this. I described it at great lengths in my 2nd tutorial, btw One or more of your models refer to the same texture file. Let's say your close model uses supercooltexture.bmp as texture. If the medium or the far model (or both) use supercooltexture.bmp as well, then you got a problem, namely the crash. So rename the texture file for the medium and far model into supercooltexture_m.bmp and supercooltexture_f.bmp to work around that. Of course that name is too long for the 3ds format, it can only have texture files with a maximum of 8 characters (not counting the extension).
  13. Hmm, are you sure you have the right palette ? Go to PSP's Image menue, palette, edit palette to check that. That's practically the only thing I know, that can go wrong, besides using a picture, that's bigger than the original. You replaced the 302 entries with the bin files you created, right ?
  14. Ok, I got it. First, save the entry with Resource Hacker (action menu -> save resource as a binary file). Now save it as a bin file and use the entry number as filename, this way you’ll have less trouble finding the entry again later. Then edit the bin file with a hex-editor, like Ultra Edit and overwrite the text on the right side, while totally ignoring the hex-code on the left. Save the file again, replace the entry in the dll with your altered bin file … done.
  15. After applying the tactical color palette, yes
  16. Sorry, I can't access the internet from my home atm and I don't have a lot of reference material "here". You shouldn’t touch anything else in that export dialog, just enter the 0 for the frames and you should get a md3 that will easily be convertable to 3ds
  17. Hmm, what did the entry look like ? Was it simple text or did it look like hex-code ? (00 AA 04 FF ...)
  18. Aw, right. They were normal cd tracks * smacking my head on the table * Well, with a free tool, like cdEx, you can copy the tracks from your original cd to the harddrive and even encode them to mp3 files, so they won't take up that much space. As long as you keep the files to yourself, I don't think anyone will bother
  19. ToguroAni, PM me your email adress. vakundok once made a tool for extracting the animations out of the dll's 302 folder. They are encoded, like so much else in the game. The pics you saw are the first frames of every animation, the rest is in the encoded entries in the 302 folder. Notice the difference in the numbers of the entries and you have a gist on how long each animation can be. I think you can't use longer animations, than the original ones, but I know they can be replaced with that tool. Sadly I haven't found the time yet to provide a good tutorial on how to use it, that's why you didn't see it in the downloads section so far.
  20. Um, you can import any .x model via the model importer program. I especially coded it to work that way The Essd might have another name than close.x, but it also has no textures. So you just need to drop that single model file of the Essd into the importer directory and ... presto
  21. Well, then let me be the first to congratulate ya: Happy birthday !
  22. Hmm ... what did you select in the export options dialog for the 3ds format, Floros ?
  23. Pass upp, min Jung. De Kölsche Dialekt, dat issene Wissenschaft für sisch, nä ? Bavararian close to the by-the-book "Hochdeutsch", umm I'll have to answer that in Bavararian: "Schmarr'n" Btw, gast: Coruscant and the Rebel HQ are special locations. You can only add the minimum number of buildings there, because they got their own status. Every other planet is made up by random, sorry.
  24. Keep up the fight, Paul. The dark side does have healing abilities, you know And if that shouldn't work, remember that there are at least 3188 people here, that simply demand your presence EDIT:
  25. Thank you, everybody You ready for another one ? Good, cause I've just uploaded a new version of the Allegiance SSD Floros, you could try using less sides for the spheres on your Firespray, that should severely reduce the polycount Krytos, quality work as always. Can't wait to see them textured
