Actually I promised my dll-crew team mates almost any kind of cookies, so they would join the team. You can read the start of this in the dll section of the Reloaded TC part in the forum.

-Yup, although the answer should've been nope Dark Empire has three volumes, but the third one is rather short and could've been included in the second one. But they are quite good, IMHO.

Well I voted for Leia, cause she was the only one to wear the golden bikini so far On the other hand, Padme's torn shirt from EP2 was also .... rrrrrrrrr

So that's why I didn't recognize the screenshot. I never played CC so far. Again, do you need the birds-eye images from any of the ground vehicels, or do have these now ? -
Not yet, but after working on it yesterday it's a good step into the direction of being finished. I could finally also weld a texture on it, that imitates the parts, that have 'lights' on a stardestroyer. Gank is working on his version for the TC, Pucho's next project will also be the Allegiance and I'm also working to get mine done. So when they're all done, you'll have plenty of choices

All correct, except that the 8 bit color palette differs from the standard 256 color palette provided in MS-Paint. So you'd either had open an original pic with that and copy your new picture on top of the old one, to have it use Rebellion's palette, or you try Gimp. Personally, if you don't already own a good graphics program that you're comfortable with, I'd use the Gimp
-
Howdy partner, I planned to texture all of the model I made so far, so the Eclipse and Sovereign will have these sooner or later as well What exactly did you do, when failed with your own textures ? Did you use Rebellion's color palette for the bitmaps ?
-
Hmm, did you leave Resource Hacker running with the tactical.dll still open, when you launched RebEd ? That corrupts the dll and makes unusable to Rebellion. If that's not what you did, please give me a detailed desc. on what you were doing.

Heads up people, two new models on the way I finished work on Pucho's Overlord SSD and on a project of my own, the Dauntless cruiser. They should be in the download section soon. No preview pics right now, since my site isn't online again, yet. But that'll change as well. Have fun and I hope the conversion didn't too much out of the texture from Pucho's model (I had to make it brighter, so the ship would be seen in tactical) More will come

Ok, time for a Daffy Duck imitation, that I wanted to do for a long time: 'Quiet on the set. QUIEEEET ! Ahhhh, shut up !' Getting serious again: I'm calling for auditions for a movie sequence, that'll be in the Rebellion Reloaded TC. This is the sequence, that'll replace the one, where the Deathstar blows up a planet. (I'll probably replace the part, where the laser is heating up, but you can still get your timing right with this version). What I need: speak the following line 'Target designated, ready to fire.'. Please speak in an even and slightly snobby tone, you know like the Imp officer in tactical, that would be perfect If you're scratching your head and ask yourself how you should record your line, try this: plug a microphone into your pc's line in, or microphone connector. Now click on the little speaker symbol beside your the clock in Windows. Ok, the next part could differ in the english version of Windows, but I'll try with a translation that should come close Select 'options' and 'properties'. There select your soundcard in the dropdown list and click on set volume for recording. Click on the OK button and the volume window should've changed. Now you'll see the 'Mic. Volume' volume on the left. Adjust the slider to be at the middle and click on 'select' below. This sets the pc to record sound from microphone. Now open your sound editing software (for ex. Cool Edit), if you got none you can also use the Windows soundrecorder. Set your audio quality to 44,100 Khz and 16bit stereo under 'File', 'Properties', 'convert now'. Now press the button with little red circle to start the recording and the button with the black square to stop it, like on a vcr. If you use a headphone with a microphone, set the mike a bit below your mouth, that lessens the distortions. If your done and you like the outcome, save it as a wave file somewhere. Now for the conversion, this is necessary cause my mailaccount couldn't hold even one 40MB file and you might also not want to spend so much time online, just to send me a file that large. If you haven't got an encoder, that can create .mp2 (mp2, not mp3 !), download TMPEG under http://www.tmpgenc.net (it's free and works very good). Open up TMPEG and click the browse button at audio source. Select your recorded wave file. Now in the main dialog again on the right, under 'stream type', select audio only. Click the setting button and select the following things from the top to the bottom: -MPEG-1 Audio Layer II -44100 -Stereo -128 leave the rest and click OK. Now you're in the main dialog again and you can just click on the start button and watch TMPEG work. After it's finished you should have a .mp2 file in the same directory, that you stored your wave file in. If you want to take part in the audition, email your .mp2 file to billy_loomis@gmx.net Please don't forget to include your SWR alias, so I can include you in the credits movie as well. I'll pick the one, that I think is suited best for the movie then. Also, don't despair, if your submission is not taken. There are quite a few movies to made. Download the movie here ! It's in Rebellion's smacker format, if you didn't download the old player from my site, you can get a new one from http://www.radgametools.com Good luck !

Umm, nope. Although that name does ring a bell... hmmm ... Btw, that way that thing blasts of is just like in that Futurama episode

Sorry for the late reply ramoth. After almost one year of watching Steve, my mother is still shaking her head, everytime he picks up a snake at the tail, or swims with alligators. But I think he's far from being crazy, he's the one closest to understanding all these animals, I think that's why he's still alive LaForge, sorry to disappoint you, but every text in SWR starts at the left border. You could in theory insert blanks, but that would be a lot of work. Maybe with tool, that can do this automatically...

-There are three versions being developed, that I know of. Mine still has some holes and needs texturing, but how about a screenshot ?

I need images of imperial vehicles seen from up.
the_mask replied to NomadaFirefox's topic in Rebellion Model Editing
It could also be ground vehicles seen in event pics Do you need anything specific, Firefox ? -
Dude, you should know about this new law in Germany. I don't know, if it's already ratified, but it'll come soon. I think Daemon tools would be the more legal option, since it doesn't alter the program itself
-
I won, I'm the latest Well, as about 98% of you all know I'm from good ol' Germany. The land famous for Austrian Schnitzel ( ) and tasty chocolate
-
That would be an improvement, at least you wouldn't remind of the cannibals, that became vegetarians from 'Monkey Island' Btw, I mailed Scath everything I could think of, that I'd like to be able to edit in the game, who else has ?
-
Reminds me of a Futurama episode called 'Antology of Interest 1', also they were playing a cool version of Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man' there. Daa da dada daaa .... come on headbangers !!!
-
Congrats, you got farther than I did. I once mailed this 'Webjedi' guy on LA and asked him, if it would be possible to contact the game's designers, because the savegames are quite ... murky. But until today I haven't received any answer. This guy was involved in the cinematics, cool. Maybe he could tell us, if the movies always had a common color palette, or if every movie could have its own. Also I'd like to know, if it's somehow possible to include movies with bigger resolutions. Btw, next week I'll call you all to rehearsals. If you want to lend your voices to one of the movie sequences in the TC, look out for the thread I'll open next week.

Umm, according to one of my favorite online comic spoofs (SevWars, http://www.sev.com.au/toonzone/) they masters are called Daft Lord of the Sith, like Daft Mule or Daft Vapor

Nice to see, that you two are still around Elfboy, look in the downloads section under model editing-texture for the new fighters tutorial. There I explain, how you can create new fighter pics and I also have some examples there. For the fighters I made since then, you'll have to wait until I can launch my site again.

What Other Books are you Reading?
the_mask replied to Grand_Admiral_Thrawn's topic in General Discussion
Socl, well at least I can try with my own park, cause right now I'm playing JP:Genesis every once in a while. If you haven't played it yet, here's one piece of advice : a Tyrannosauros and a Spinosaurus are not a good thing to have in one cage I lost 5000 bucks this way. Also my Raptors are constantly going mad and I don't know why. Wormie, nope I haven't read the prequels yet. House Harkonnen and House Corinno, right ? I once read (I think it was here), that they wouldn't be as good as the originals. But if I always listened to what people on Amazon said, I wouldn't own half the Star Wars books I have, so I think I'll give them a shot after Chapterhouse -
one thing I'd want from LA ? I'd beg them to release Rebellion's complete sourcecode We should be able to overcome limitations, like the 256 colors with this and might also be able to include things like capturing other vessels, or having deep space combats (think about nebulas for example, hmmm). Oh and perhaps a job offer, but I have to finish my studies first

What Other Books are you Reading?
the_mask replied to Grand_Admiral_Thrawn's topic in General Discussion
HAHAHA! You had to read that boring piece of literature as well?! HAHAHAHA! My sympathy goes out to you! Oh yeah, I remember that one as well. "When I walked into the jungle I was poor, but when I came out, by god I was rich." ,or so it went. We even watched a movie with Dustin Hoffman, actually he was the only good actor in it. But reflecting on my english lessons at school, I liked reading "Dr. Jekill and Mr. Hyde" and watching the english version of Braveheart. Hearing Mel Gibson with this 'scottish' acent was just brilliant. 'Oh, yeah ? And he sprrreads lightning frrrom his a&$% Um, the books I read ? Aside from StarWars ??? (I'm just in the middle of Edge of victory 1, btw). Well, some of the best books I've ever read are the Dune series without doubt. Frank Herbert was simply a genius. I still have to read Chapterhouse Dune, though. To see how that battle ends. I liked Jurassic Park and Lost World a lot and I think the book from L.W. was far better than the movie. I haven't seen the third movie yet, or read the book, though. I also enjoyed much reading the book from the movie "The Crow" and one that was an xmas present from a girl at school "Seven" by Mark Frost. The last one is about how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle got the idea of Sherlock Holmes. Both books are more from the horror genre, but interesting to read nevertheless
