    Thrawn's dead...

True, he didn't know about the Anakin Skywalker-Darth Vader connection, but I think that would have made little difference to him once he found out the Noghri were going to betray him. In reality, you could sense that he knew about it, but maybe Zahn gave up that idea because just a little later he suddenly becomes oblivious of it. You'll notice it in the way he acts toward the Noghri and how it changes in Dark Force Rising and The Last Command. Why did Thrawn have to die, though? Could you explain again, Trej? I know. Precisely my point.
  3. Hmm...what about Naboo?
  4. Now it's definite: first chance I get, I am coming to visit you, my friend! So I take it Zoot is an outdoor cat? I assumed he was indoor...or does it vary? INDEED!
  5. The Men's Basketball Association? Post-graduate? Meaning, about, doctorate level or some where right before it?! 8O AWESOME!!! Well, now it has been confirmed, thou art learnèd!!! And an angry crazy.
  6. I'm not quite sure, but a while back I came across a post that a member made that said: "It's a lot of fun screaming with angry crazies" or something like that, and since then that is what I have been calling the members of SWR...angry crazies.
  7. There is no turning back now, Antilliles! You, like the other members, are no mine (property of the BEAK® Imperium).
  8. Oh, but I did the see the post(s). Luckily for all of you, the Vong do not interest me very much, so I won't... ...yet.
  9. From a proper point of view, there is no clear violation of my rights because either a blind eye is turned to them or they are simply not defined in my defense. You see, it's like the mafia: They would never violate anyone, they would simply pressure and threat you to. After nearly five years of attending Soldier's Chapel. Indeed there is.
  10. It would be my pleasure... Ask a question...anything....
  11. Man, I hate Vong.
  12. I served my country Or what do u mean? No, no, that's not quite what I meant. What I meant was: what was your MOS? Or...hmm...I doubt that's what it's called in Germany.... I mean, were you infantry, cavalry (armor, air, or what-not), aviation, artillery, etc?
  13. Welcome to SWR! We prefer to be called "anrgy crazies".
  14. You're being modest, my friend. I do...don't I?... Very well then, I shall use them, but only in proper nouns (and other special occasions) to give the story a unique and open feel. So, anyone want to share what they think of "Magical Lies" thus far? Maybe questions or comments on what is posted on my site thus far? I'm open to criticism as well (just try to use tact, please).
  15. Thank you, Scath, for writing what you did and for bringing up the evidence you had. All I had was the evidence that I see happening "on the street" to my friends, neighbors, and relatives (the social views), not the true political views that truly rule the world we live in. And again, I don't mean to say that patriotism and displaying such is bad, but when people are forced into being patriotic and supportive under economic and, even, malicious pressures...well, that I have incident with.
  16. In reality, America's foreign policy has changed. We are talking about a current of policy of strike first, where as we had that of wait for complete confirmation before striking, something the U.S. did not have before its attack on Iraq. Granted, Hussein had to be taken out of his position, but that was not why the U.S. went there. Instead it went there under the excuse that Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction, which the UN inspectors did not find evidence of and neither have our troops. Patriotism is not wrong, but imposing such on people is. Granted, the U.S. claims that you don't have to be in favor of the policies, but we all know quite well that if you don't you shall be discrimited and alienated from and by others. Evidence of that is riddled everywhere, you merely have to look for it instead of turn a blind eye to it. Yes, yes I can. Granted, patriotism and in such displays are fine, but basically forcing people to go and partake under the threat of discrimination and such are not. Probably, but realize that even those most closely connected to the defenders of freedom and those who serve the U.S. still disagree as disagreeing is one of our freedoms. And round and round it goes. You see, those who disgaree appreciate the fact that they have the right and freedom to disagree. Now, you certainly cannot deny them that, as they cannot deny them your agreement. Just because they...we appreciate it, does not mean we must agree and do as is wanted from us by the system. Evaders, I honestly think you misunderstood most, if not all of what I posted. I, in no way, meant to say that the U.S. patriotism and displaying of such was wrong, but that the way it is being handled is. People are being forced to go and partake because they don't want to get discriminated and beat up by pro-American mobs. And that is not a fact anyone can ignore.
  17. 12:55 AM CST, Monday, July 7, 2003: -Added more to Part 2 of "Magical Lies" where you're at last introduced to the main character -Updated the Dramatis Personæ (Field Marshal Cæsar von Asch) -Updated the Abbreviations list -Updated the Praetorian Guard to Prætorian Guard -Updated Aeolus to Æolus -I'm still looking for a Good Samaritan to host my stories -I'm still looking for a better title for "Magical Lies" -I'm still looking for opinions and feedback on the story As you will notice that certain proper nouns containing the letters ae in them have been updated to give the story a more Latin feel. I did this because I feel Latin is significant to the story in two ways. The first, it signifies the Roman Empire, which relates directly to the Imperium in the story. Secondly, Latin--though considered a dead language--is considered the universal language and I feel that by that it signifies a more international and open outlook on all things. It may not signify such things to my readers, but at least I know that is what it signifies and means to the story. I said you're at least introduced to the main character, Adrian Ray, but you are probably wondering: "The main character? This last in the story?!" Well, you see, the way I look at it, the main character in this story is the one who struggles the most, not the one who appears the most. Along with that, he is really the only one you will get insight into, unlike the others who you read as if you were talking to them and get very little on their thought process. The only other person who could possibly qualify for the position of main character is Colonel Lee, the Imperator's aide-de-camp, because of his continous observations. In this addition to the story, he is only mentioned, but the next time, you shall truly get to meet him and who he is. The added parts to "Magical Lies" also includes the introduction of two new prototype desert mobile suits. You see, the original two prototypes were very basic and were unable to take the harsh conditions. You may even recall an engineer in Part 1 commenting about problems with the intakes and the optical sensors due to the sand and dust. In response, two new models of the desert mobile suit were engineered, the YDMS-03 and the YDMS-04. The -03 is called "blue" because of the prototype colors, the other is "squat" because of its design. Well, I'll finish this up. I don't have a picture/drawing of exactly what the -04 looks like, so I found what would sui best and so it looks some-what like this, this, and this.
  18. Now that gets me pretty steamed up. Canada, like France and Germany, is a seperate sovereign nation with its own opinion(s)? And just because their's does not agree with U.S.'s does not mean it's wrong. After all, is not one of the freedoms the U.S. claims to be defending be the freedom of speech (and further, free opinion)?
  19. So you say now.... Very persistant, aren't you??? You noticed? I'll cool it.
  20. What do you mean? Do you mean to say that America imposes itself on Canada as well?!
  21. Got it, bro, thanks! But Demetrius isn't such a bad name. Granted, it's not a typical STAR WARS name, but it sounds quite Latin which means it's good.
  22. So you say now....
  23. Precisely, Trej, and another reason why we are friends. But it's not just that, with the current events, it is obvious that the U.S. has come to the point of arrogance (sorry if I offend anyone) where they believe that if you do not agree with them then you are wrong and evil. The imposition of your opinion upon others is the true evil, where people who do not agree are made to look evil. Well, I think most (or at least some) of you know what I'm talking about. And as Trej said, it doesn't have to do with the seperation of Church and State, but the imposition of opinions and the forcing of patriotism on others. Isn't that known as indoctrination and the subjugation of freedom(s)?...
  24. I seem to recall we had an arguement over that point some time ago. I'm glad to see we agree on that. INDEED!
  25. Yes, we did make a big deal over it, but I hope that isn't the reason you plan on buying them. If it is, sorry about us making such a big deal over it. Now, if you do buy them, make sure to find a simplier translation and not the Old English sounding ones. I don't mean to imply anything about your intelligence, just that they're a pair of confusing stories and reading them in Old English will both make them more confusing and maybe even uninteresting to you. Trust me.
