How big is the unmodified tactical.dll?

Hmmm, i guess we need to decide whether we want to go with species units, who have different capabilities, or just 'strength' units - light, medium, heavy. Wookies are big and strong, and make good offensive troops, calamari are intelligent and slower, but would make great defensive troops etc. Thoughts please.

As i understand it's a very robust combat mode, it allows for blades, hand to hand, pistols, rifles etc etc. However, it's not going to be a matter of running around everywhere. If i can i might take up a sideline job of a sniper, just for more income of course!!!

I think we should keep it just how it is. Whether you call it real time strategy or turn based doesnt matter to me, the game is what it is, and it works damn well. -------------------------------- Sorry i haven't posted for a while, things have been a little mad at work.

Sounds good to me. Is there a unit of length in the modeler program when you make the model? How many units long is an ISD in the program, and how many is the Sovereign model? Ideally i'd say that for the purposes of the game, the Sovereign and Eclipse models should be about half the size they are now, and very very expensive. This way they look nice and big, but don't make the other ships seem too small, and you'll only get two or three in a huge fleet. I've always thought of the SSD as smaller than a SSSD or ESSD, so make the model of the SSD about 2/3rds the size of the ESSD or SSSD models. I hope that makes sense.

Quite simple really, i cheated. Using RebEd, i set Luke force to 200, i also set his combat, espionage, and diplomacy to 200, on top of thatr iset his loyalty to max and his leadership. However, this wasn't enough for me. I then set the variability stats to max as well, apart from loyalty of course. Sometimes this results in a weaker Luke, but most of the time he'll end up starting with his stats over 1000, then with Dagobah, and the first couple of encounters with Vader his stats shoot up, i think Dagobah is a proportional increase thing. Then whenever you have a mission, send Luke on it. Not only do you get a good Luke, but when he starts to train Jedi, they tend to go straight from trainee to Master in one mission. If you do it long enough they catch up with him, then you get several uber Jedi Masters!!!

Nah, the Rebel base is wherever I logon!!! Most commentaries put the DS I's crew at 1 million, there was a whole thing in one of the novels about Luke suddenly realising he was responsible for the deaths of a million people in just one shot. I think it was the book where he searched for his mum. Black Fleet Crisis?

Hmm, i think you'd need a new trigger in the game. There must be one in the code that says when the death star destroys a system, change the pictures to asteroids. You'd need to do something like that, but that would mean going into thecode, i think. I'm not sure, but the DS seems the closest event to that.

Hmm, i should imagine so, if you had the right graphics tools. It's only a background isn't it? So as long as it's not to thick with detail or too bright, it should be ok. I think.
