  1. Resource Hacker, as in give yourself a whole pile of maintenance points? Why not just increase the production of your mines and refineries. By the way, if you want the most possible do you want maximum production for both the mines and the refineries, or is there a better balance? Elvismiggell

Okay, we all know it's going to be set in the Star Wars Universe, and that we can go and see all these pretty locations, and that they might even include in the game or make an addon to let us fly about in it. But what is the game actually about? Will we be able to run around and train as Jedi or smugglers? Will the galaxy be controlled by the Empire? What time of Star Wars will it be set in? Will we be able to form groups and have real time, large scale battles, on the ground or in the air? Can we purchase a group of AT-ATs and take over a world, can we have elections on individual plantets and then on systems to have representatives to go before a galactic senate? Can anybody answer any of my questions? Please. Elvismiggell

Okaaay, Not too sure i understand about customising it, and is there anyway that we'll be able to link it to Rebellion because my own PC has no net access, so i would need to find a single player method, either by playing with Rebellion or if there were some sort of mod. Is this possible, or is it beyond even your amazing skills? (They say flattery gets you everywhere!) Elvismiggell

I don't think we'd get sued, we'd have to be fairly careful, i guess it depends, if we used the coding that they used then obviously we'd be in s**t, but if Greg or someone did it themselves with a couple of minor differences then we could get away with it. Just imagine, after you took out the Interdictor you could make a mini jump to make a two pronged attack. A combination of the two would be good, because Rebellion actually had a slightly better 3d combat feel to it. And we need to see some of the new ships, like the Suncrusher, the real one, because the one's on the cards are wrong! Elvismiggell
  5. What like stick all the readme's and stuff into one zip/floppy, and then the pak or whatever into another? Hmmm, i'll give it a try, but the latest ones are like 3.5mb, and i cant see 2.5mb of that being readme's and info, unless there are multiple paks. Elvismiggell.

  8. Um, why do you need a savegame editor when you have the force... i mean RebEd? I dont see what you could do with a savegame editor that you couldn't have set up with RebEd beofre you started the game, or is that the point? ElvisMiggell

  10. Jedimod and Jedimod 1.1 are cool, but they're the only one's small enough to download that actually seem to work. Most of the other one's seem to have broken links or not download on many of the sites. Does anyone know of a more recent version which is downloadable, works, and will fit onto a floppy disc (my computer doesn't have net, but my v.old other one does so i have to transfer via floppy.)   13. Okay, so this is what, a different program that does the same thing as RedEd? Elvismiggell
  14. Why is it that every time i start to write a new story or novel for Star Wars somebody else goes and nicks my idea. It happened with the Thrawn trilogy and the duology, now its happened with Jacens story in traitor. Why do authors keep nicking my ideas? How will i ever be recognised as a good short story writer? Elvismiggell.
  15. You could try to do it stealthily, make it more realistic, Luke (e.g.) would wear disguises and not overtly carry weapons, he'd have fake id and would be able to use mind tricks. The only way it wouldnt work is when you get people who insist on taking the direct route and killing everyone. A diplomacy mission might involve getting to a contact without yourself or them being found out. Elvismiggell
  16. JediIgor and Venix have got the idea. I'm not sure how some of the larger battles would work, but then i haven't played ST Fleet Command, would you still have control of ALL your ships, would you be able to swith between them in a sort of Rainbow Six style, tabbing between ships? Elvismiggell
  17. Checked out the models, its exactly what i was looking for. Anybody know what size the download will be, because i can only transfer onto my pc via floppy Elvismiggell
  18. Okay, another brainwave, it may not appeal to all. Essentially Rebellion was a giant 2 player skirmish. So, more players, kind of like Battlegrounds would make things interesting, allowing Hapes and the New Republic to ally for example, or the Empire and maybe the Chiss. This would mean more teams to play with, each with their own characters and relevant units. The research could be slightly revamped to make it branch out so as you can have some selection in what gets researched. So for example you could research light clone troopers, heavy clone troopers, super clone troopers for example, but you could also choose to at some point in the series research communications or commanders which would increase combat power or make interplanetary transfer faster. Essentially Rebellion was a brilliant game, so most of the changes should only really be in presentation, the basic formula was almost perfect. Should there be some more mission based type campaigns as well as the traditional and effective skirmish mode, so we might see an Episode I campaign or a post Episode VI campaign, with some set events, so for example the post Episode VI campaign might start off with problems at Bakura, after you settle that Thrawn rears his blue head, and then after you vanquish him you have to deal with the Yuuzhan Vong, which nobody seems to have managed yet!   19. When, oh when is someone with a lot more brains than myself going to make an editor that will let us edit the appearance of ships, so we can really SEE some of the great ships that are on the cards at the moment. Elvismiggell
  20. Missions like rescues, assassination, recon, in the style of JK2, game engines really ought to be able to support this by now, shouldn't they? Then if Luke meets Vader, we can be there too and decide who wins. Elvismiggell
  21. Okay, so JK2, quite probably the best Star Wars FPS or TPS of all time. However, there are a couple of features missing. Force speed - all very well, but wouldn't it be nice if it slowed Kyle down a little too so that we can really feel like Luke does in SOTE - the rest of the world is moving in super slow mo and he's moving lazily to block/duck/strike etc. Does anybody know of a mod with which we can do this? Or someone who can make a mod or tell us how to do it. Second, has anybody designed a decent series of single player missions, a new campaign so to speak. The double lightsaber cheat (I know, I know cheaters never prosper, but who can pass up on the chance to be Darth Maul, or for the enthusiasts Exar Kun after he turned, anyway...) the cheat is /THEDESTROYER, apparently, but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas why? Two lightsabers, like Jacen against the Yuuzhan Vong or Anakin vs Dooku, again, any mods folks? That's the extent of my creative imagination for the time being.
