You are really lucky, I just wanted to go home :)

I substituted the Golan with the Imp Dreadnought and made it available for both sides. Also I beefed up the firepower and I choped the engine-speed to zero. The game doesn't mind, what model you use instead. For example, to test the Eclipse, I used the Assault Transport :D

The lasers always come out of the center of each model. I know this is not what we'd like, but we can't change anything about it. Except, maybe putting the center of the model to the place where you'd want it to fire from, but then the model would be 'out of line' with the rest of its battlegroup :(

Btw, after replacing models I usually continue my current game of Rebellion. Shortly before invading Coruscant, the AI surprised a little diplomacy-fleet of mine with 16 (!) Dreadnoughts, that were Golan IIIs by then with the apropriate firepower, plus an Interdictor ...

I'm gonna write something in the Gaming stories section on how I got out of that one

I believe Golans have small basic station keeping engines, and use hyperspace tugs to move from system to system, essentially they are not offensive weapons, they are planetary defences located in space.

I set the propulsion speed in RebEd to 0, but if press enter the program will correct it to 1. So just enter 0 and press the OK button, the Golans weren't moving after that and as you can read in the 'Gaming Stories' section I was quite glad about that

Size of a ESSD is IMHO as large as a normal SSD, but with a far greater mass.

Eclise II did not feature a Superlaser.

Too dark? Combine this with teints of grey and put some lights on it, ie. a hangar light, bridge lights, etc.

Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
How can it be the same size but have greater mass? Why would it be so much denser? The ESSD is quoted as being 17.5k The average SSD is between 5k and 8k.

There was a lot of 'agressive' discussion about the length of SSDs and ESSDs that I read about. The one solution, or explanation I like best was that the first ships of the SSD class Executor and Lusankya were the shorter design, while later SSDs were longer. And to still have a relatively good survey of your battlegroups I took the smaller design for the SSDs and the 'original' length for the ESSD.

That the Eclipse is more massive than the Executor just comes from the fact that the hull design is different on the Eclipse, so it simply has more hull plates :D

But what I also wanted to write about about was : two new models :!:

I've released models for the Mc40a and the Victory Stardestroyer. As usual the screenshots and downloads are located on my page as well.

Next will be some requested models by Pucho, the Sovereign and Eidolon class. Also I'm trying to recreate some of the custom Opt models I found on some XWA pages (Dominator cruiser and others that appear in the Thrawn period).

Have a nice weekend, I'm outa here

Any chance for an Interdictor and a Mod Strike Cruiser?

There are some nice XWA models on the web, if it can be converted it would be really nice.

what is a dominator cruiser and the eidolon class? I've never heard of them.

Billy........I LOVE YOU! Thank you VERY much for these two! I haven't even looked at them yet, but I'm confident they are masterful! I'm gonna check them out right...now! :D Heehee! Weeeee!

P.S. But you still haven't answered my last e-mail yet.:lol:

This MC 40 is a little more edgie than the MC80. Isn't there any model of XWA you can use?
Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
If i remember the MC40 is supposed to be a little less smooth than the MC80 as it's smaller and there was less room for artistic curves.

That is the model straight from XWA

It might be a little smoother, when you make a flyby in a small snubfighter. If you have another source for the Mc40, tell me. I'd convert it as well 8)

Battlestars! Battlestars! I really like battlestars. Someone could probably use the rebel gravity-well ship to base one off of. They are pretty similar in appearance. As long as it isn't too small. About the size of an ISD would be fine (maybe just a little bigger, some BG fans might claim that a battlestar is even bigger than an SSD, but I won't complain.)

Lets concentrate on models for the tc first, unless people have got lots of spare time...... in which case a Hapan Battledragon and a Hapan Nova class Cruiser would be good.

Ho ho hooo, everybody.

Since it's my site's second birthday I decided to give away the presents one day early. I've released two new models, the Eidolon class Strikecruiser and the Sovereign Stardestroyer.

Whoho! Great stuff.

Never seen this Eidolon Cruiser before. Where did you find it? It looks VERY different from what I have seen about the Modified Strike Cruiser. I dunno where I got the opt for XWA, it it wasn't that large. Or are these two different ships? I recall that the Pererine (not Bel Iblis's Dreadnaught) was somewhat unique.

Wicked! Now, if we can just get the textures sorted out, we'll be well on our way to getting the models for the tc done.... 8O

Geez, yeah. MC-80b with textures...

I somehow mixed up the Eidolon with the other Modified Strike Cruiser (the one from XvT).

Hi everybody, just dropped by between the parties

You're right, the Peregrine is the M/Strk from XVT-BOP. I'll have to check, if I can convert this to work as the new CC-7700.

When I'm sober again (about 14hours after new year's eve :P ) I'll also try and fiddle out, how to make textures for the models.

Also there'll be sort of a small new tutorial, but more on that in a few days, until then: PARTY ON !

Oh yeah and about your Avatar : Get over here !
