  1. Have they been added back into the galaxydef file ?
  2. will the desert home and terran home planets be added back in at any stage ? Or are they just the equivilant high terran and high arid (?).

Is there much point in building planetary shields? personally I never bother I only build hanger bays, 1 ion cannon, the interdicter thing (forgot the name my mind went blank) and star bases for defenses on important planets. as mentioned above I also agree the limit should be upped on all planets fopr defenses available regardless of planet type.
  4. Yeah I undertand the constraints of putting it in the game tbh but we can dream. If it had the ability to sy once evrry few minutes strike and basically wipe anything out or wipe a planet down to 0's that would be great. The biggest task would be including some sort of ability so it can be destroyed somehow.
  5. The imperial torpedo sphere and replace it with another large round ship the imperials used whats its name again the death sun or something? I never use them at all also the imperial star destroyer command ship is it not more or less the same as the isdII ? I would love a victory SD somewhere in the imperial line up. And love to see them have another beastie super capital somewhere also. One other springs to mind corellian corvettes does anyone ever make them? I only use heavy corvettes for scouting. Its a shame with them being in the movie possibly make them just diplomacy ships once diplomacy is added into the mod but for now they seem useless.

    Ok been tweeking the map slightly if anyone wants a newer version find the link below: http://www.gamefront.com/files/20239812/sw+galaxy+new.galaxy edited and fixed this is now the right link New version has had a few small fixes: *Bilbringi now named correctky. *Some Phaselanes have been removed. *Fixed The trade route through Recopia so planet now shows correctly. Don't really understand why it wasn't showing up correctly before. *Added 3 new planets to help connect trade routes better. The map works with NovaCamerons New planets mod which includes many new types of planets. It currently has 9 possible players with fixed starting positions they are: 1 Coruscant 2 Geonosis 3 Yavin 4 Kamino 5 Zonamo Sekot 6 Mon calamari 7 Byss 8 Csilla - Removed 9 Hoth - Removed - edit now only 7 players. Personally i would decide which era you would like to play and choose the corresponding players to suit. As in the past 9 player games get laggy very quickly. The map currently has 193 planets with 1 star. Feedback is always welcome.
  8. like I said something has seriously freed up some ram somewhere. I hadn't played in a couple of weeks or so, thus all the questions whether to update or not. The map played good up until approx 80% explored/conquered. Then slowly started to lag a bit more and more, but still this is a huge improvement on previous games. The map was 250ish(can't remember exact right now) planets all colonizable, using the new planets from your mod. I only played 2/9 players though so that probs made a small difference too. Ships were maxed out for both players. Trade ships etc turned off and skyboxes and all the planet icons down the left hand side.

  11. did you add your map from galaxyforge to the galaxy.manifest in the SOGE folder?
  12. Has there been any recent changes to the textures in the planets? I ask because I was testing my large map last night and with the new planets since the last test the map ran much smoother and didnt lag for a good few hours into gameplkay with almost 80% of the map explored.
  13. will he version o soge available via the svn update from now on be available for diplomacy or entrenchment ? Or will it work for both versions of the game?
  14. entrenchment, since my vote was invalid i dont own diplomacy and didnt really like the idea of it, however the future rebellion does sound decent enough so far.

Its actually upto 9 players starting positions are as follows so depending on how many players you want and which era change which players are active to suite. 1 Coruscant 2 Geonosis 3 Yavin 4 Kamino 5 Zonamo Sekot 6 Mon calamari 7 Byss 8 Csilla 9 Hoth I may shuffle these around yet or change them slightly especially the last two. maybe add hoth to player 3. coruscant is staying by itself though then depending on era its owner is flexible.

    Hi there, when I made the3se maps the mod was using sins plus mod, but it has now moved onto to novacamerons planet mod it has loads of new types, I have a newer map using them planets instead if you want a copy just let me know. As for the militia I dont think you can add them in as it would need to be like another player added with specific ships etc and it would take up too much ram as the mod is already at bursting point with regards to the ram issue. Perhaps put a few pirate bases next to the hutt planets? Names I'm not 100% sure one of the modders will probably be able to help you there its probably got something to do with the string file. If I was you I'd get signed up for the beta testing then download the newest mod and you'll see all the differences. If you then want a copy let me know. My new map has 8 starting positions for upto 8 factions however I find the more players and the more planets a map is the slower it runs over time. The newest version is approx 200planets as anymore is just really slow and annoying, also remember to remove trade ships and sky boxes from the options helps smooth things out a bit.
  17. Did you get any further with a large map? I had a go making a new one with approx 200 planets using the new planets it runs ok at first but after about 2 hours or so it slows right down again. I was playing a 8player FFA match maybe I will try again with less players.
  18. Prison planet would be like kessel which would be ok maybe have a couple of mines etc too, and there are a couple of post apoc planets in the sw universe there names evade me for now one of them i think is the home of the miraluka species. Will check later on.
  19. cool nice work that map will be great cannot wait to give it a try. one thing i would add and hope is don't add too many hyperlanes I found the version i did had way too many lanes whereas the small galaxy(95) you did played nicely with the hyperlanes you added in. It had a nice steady tactical feel to it. as Lavo says I wouldnt totally re do everything as it is looking good however evrything done from now on in the mod really needs to have the memory issues addressed. Fingers crossed the new add-on might help somehow with this matter. did anyone try the fix a while ago (large address aware if memory serves me right?) I tried it but it didnt dseem to do much for mine once i was playing larger maps ?
  20. Played with the new planets last nite on the star wars lite map played very nice and your planets do look good hats of for them. Personally I wont go over about 300 otherwise it gets way too laggy just as thing s are getting interesting. The map played well until towards the very end it started getting a little laggy (still playable) but that was with massive fleets and all planets controlled, I did have skyboxes and trade ships turned off I also turn off the planet info bar at the side makes things easier (except for fleets). Very good though looking forward to seeing a slightly bigger map also will you put more player starting locations on it and let us know where they are so we know who/which factions satrt where or are they all random? Also personally I like Lavo's idea for a graveyard type planet, just for one or two possibly in the galaxy but thats me. And if there is anything I can help with just ask.
  21. So in which ways are my maps inaccurate? leave me feedback maybe? So with your new planets is it going to be possible to create a huge galaxy map without causing the game to lag too much? 136 planets is going to add too much to the resources? isn't it, no?

  23. ah i see should of followed the link b4 ... doh well the one main thing I hope this fixes is the memory allowance, remove the 2gb limit and let us play uninterupted with no lag. That is my only hope really, possibly more fighter types also, as I've always wanted a tie defender in this mod. this means we could also make more splinter groups and/or smaller forces in the game ie naboo defence force, haarpani, chiss empire, and other sw races.
