  2. Isn't that simply to do with the Sins engine ? Nothing to do with SOSE since as Lavo has said the ranges ar ok ?
  3. Would it therefore be possible to slightly trim the planets ie some less needed models or stars ? Or is there a way of making the models of the planets smaller. The ram usage is crippling games in their latter stages. Any news yet on whether the new sins add-on might address some ram issues ? Or will it just make things worse ? Actually would moving over to diplomacy not just use more ram up also ?
  4. Ram is always an issue with sins though, as even if your pc has 4gb sins is hardcoded with a limit of 2gb. The mod when running is already very close to the limit and this is probably whats causes a lot of problems especially on larger games later on in the game when re loading etc. Any small areas where ram usage can be trimmed it should be imo.

  7. Ok so I made this map for use with SOGE using the NU planets. It is working with the current version of both mods.(thanks Lavo) It is a single star map with 188 planets from the star wars universe. I used many different sources for placement, arrangement, choice and types of planets in this map. (thanks wookiepedia was a valuable research tool.) Now it is a 7 player fixed starting location map, however one of the main things I'm considering is changing it to random places, so please leave feedback especially regarding starting locations. The locations are as follows with recommended factions: 1 Coruscant Republic,Empire,New republic 2 Yavin IV Alliance 3 Geonosis CIS 4 Mon Calamari New Republic 5 Zonamo Sekot Vong 6 Byss Empire 7 Kamino Republic Please leave any feedback good or bad as I would like to improve the map further and get it as good as I can. Any suggestions are always welcome, and hopefully you will enjoy playing my map. The galaxyscenariodef file in galaxyforge and in the soge folder are both the same I have just double checked. when using Forge there are no missing planet types come up, so that is not the problem it isn't anything to do with the planet type names. Have any numbers been tweaked recently with regards to mines or tactical slots something along those lines maybe above or below a hardcoded limit. http://www.gamefront.com/files/20430375/Star+Wars+Galaxy+Max.galaxy theres a link to my map. As you will be able to see all the planets are upto the latest version of NU. Also what fixes did you need to do to your maps Lavo for them to work? As what ever issues are causing Galaxy Lite not to work will be the same issues thats affecting my map.

But I changed many types of planets in the map to fit with the newer types after loading in forge I started getting missing planet types and rather than keeping them randoms I chnaged them over to the newer option. Also the map now when loaded in Forge doesn't display any missing planet types, so I don't think its related to the types of planets in the map. Its something else imo.
  13. Ok basically the large map I made which Star wars Lite with more added and a little re jigging here or there is getting the instant defeat message. I presume the Star Wars Lite map is the same (someone confirmed this earlier). The map was working fine up until about 3 weeks ago (approx very rough guess) as it was all upto date with all current planets and Nova's latest release. Did you mention in another topic about removing large sized planets or soemthing similar ? Maybe Titan class planets not too sure or has the ammounts of mines been chnaged per planet? I have searched everywhere and treble checked the map is in the correct place but to no avail. I put a reply in the "new maps" topic a few weeks back reporting this but got no response. If you need any help let me know, btw do you know if Nova completed his large scale galaxy map ?

    ok I could do with a bit help please. Since I updated to the latest version once I re added my map to the mod it isn't loading right. I have added it to the galaxy.manifest file and added 1 to the total. Now everytime I go to load a new game as soon as the game loads it comes up as a defeat. Is there something I am missing or is there anything in the mod now which may conflict ?

  21. Them series of three episodes which feature that story line evanders was so badly put together. Watching the series is so frustrating at times as the stories really sometimes make no sense. Not to spoil anything as if this is where you watched upto but there is a jedi master that dies in an upcoming episode who I thought originally survived operation knightfall. It just disregards stuff all the time imo.

    Will test these this weekend they all sound great though a nice set of changes imo. Also on a side note any idea on when it/if will switch to diplomacy? I'm was looking into buying the other day but have no real point unless we change over to it.
  23. As I said, the orbitBodyType, aka. entity file, may be different. I don't know how you aren't seeing them in the GalaxyScenDef file, they are both clearly there. Not only that, but PlanetTerranHome.entity is in the GameInfo file. The entity file for DesertHome is PlanetHighDesertHome.entity. Hope this helps. Now I see lol ta

    Anyone any thoughts on what type of planet would suite zonamo sekot best ? Its a tricky one to decide as it is a living world, also placing of it is debatable as it moves around.
  25. TerranHome is back in, as is DesertHome. Both planetTypes are around. The orbitBodyType has been changed, but this is a non-issue, as only the former is used in maps. I dont seem to be able to find the PlanetDesertHome.entity file anywhere or the terran one ? Neither are listed in the galaxyscenariodef file either. I just updated via svn.
