  6. OK... let's re-write that... 1. Copy "BuffDomination.entity" from "/SinsDir/Entrenchment/GameInfo/" to "SOGE/gameinfo/". 2. Edit "SOGE/entity.manifest": 2.1 Change "EntityNameCount" to ONE MORE THAN IT IS 2.2 Add the line: entityname "BuffDomination.entity" So go from: EntityNameCount 832 EntityName "firstentity.entity" EntityName "secondentity.entity" ... to EntityNameCount 833 EntityName "BuffDomination.entity" ... Note that that number is not correct... I'm just making it up... But do exactly like that... add 1 and put the line right below.

  9. well... what I would do to start is decide to do something small, like mod a single unit with a single ability or something... then reverse-engineer what's already there... I agree with EV... The 3 "known" and "accepted" SSDs are: Executor Sovereign and Eclipse That Imperium class is just impossible... how would they design that... if they DID design it, how would they BUILD it... that's obviously NR-era, meaning that the empire did NOT have infinite resourses
  12. Oi! You need to say what beta revision this is with! Presuming it mods the entity manifest... And when referencing files in the mainifest, they do need to exist... there's no GameData folder with that download!

  14. Well, I guess all ships can take damage... Or have frigates/cruisers take less damage than cap ships
  15. Anyone thought about an eclipse-class? That would be great, cause it can destroy ships, and do unbelievable planetary destruction.

Many of you have asked to include Celestal Bodies: http://tgnforums.stardock.com/338406 and Volumetric Explosions: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-last-stand/downloads/volumetric-explosions-damage-effects-113 I am happy to inform those of you who are interested that I am working on combining both of these mods with SOGE. Volumetric is actually already done, and once I can put it up, it will be on the .svn. Celestial, on the other hand, will take a lot of digging to add. It involves combining .entities, .manifests, etc. If anyone is interested in working on combining it, please feel free to pm me or email me. -Sloosecannon
  18. Ok, so I've been thinking... In the asteroid field, is there any way to make there be damage (very minor) inflicted to large ships (cruisers and caps?) Also decrease speed... like a 5 dmg/sec -50% speed against cruisers and cap buff... from Episode V with the ISDs in the asteroid belt...
  19. Actually, about the shields, they would be a mostly form-fitting bubble array from mulitple projectors around the ship... but as I recall, the shields were removed for performance and because in real star wars, you don't really have a visible shield...
  20. Once I have some time, I'll work on a debug... HOMEWORK: the bane of my existence!!! EDIT: turned on DEBUG mode, found the problem... apparently, I left out a couple labels in the .entity... should be working soon...

Ok, so I've been trying to get this into the game, with little success (MD on start... woops) Use the com satellites as "phasegates", rename them to Hyperwave transcievers, on the grounds of ppl on one planet would send info to ppl on the other planets saying where they could jump to, where the asteroids are, etc... PS: Phasegate as in the Vasari building that lets you jump across the galaxy, I've always wanted to do that with SW ships...
  22. Yep. That's one of the most painful tactical situations I've been in... Lots of cruisers/caps and no fighters, with lotsa bogeys.
