  1. I really like the potential for multiplayer campaign mode.
  2. Heh, you might not want to look in here any more. Here are some flybys during my campaign with all 43 planets: http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/4392/012120061045040bw.jpg http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/2941/012120061045179cx.jpg http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/3418/012120061045351hw.jpg http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/5396/012120061045405zg.jpg http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/6008/012120061045590yx.jpg You can tell that planets like Geonosis had their blank textures replaced by other ones, in this case Tatooine's.
  3. Well, I have been playing around with the settings and have been able to supply a skin to every planet that was missing one, and I also have all 43 planets linked to maps, Tatooine's for ground and Vergesso Asteroids for space. Here is what happened when I attacked Coruscant (give you two guesses what structure they had there on the surface...): 1. My fleet jumps into the system and I also take a little look around in cinematic mode. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6566/fleethasarrived2ym.jpg http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8945/fleet1bm.jpg 2. As my fleet engages the enemy I suddenly realize that, not only will the Empire AI use the weapon... It has a fast reload apparently. http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/7594/hypervelocitycannon8ik.jpg 3. After about 3 hits, this is what happened to Home One. http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/9899/ouchhomeone7dk.jpg 4. As my fleet is getting systematically wiped out, I decide to run to the edge of the map... the range on this thing is complete. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6215/tearingmyfleetup9sw.jpg 5. Down goes the Venator. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/5324/finishedoffvenator4qp.jpg
  4. I tried this as well, it does work, but there is no maps associated with the planets. To use them, you need to assign the vergesso map to them for space and the tatooine map to them for ground.
  5. Yes, and hacking doesn't have anything to do with altering program files at all anyway.
  6. After you extract the Config.meg file into its respective folders, don't remove your Config.meg file for those of you who remember the BFME ini.big file. If you remove it you will have nothing in your single player campaign list at all.... and don't ask me how I know that :
  7. No bumping on these forums... Take a look around on the other forums other than just General Discussion. Installation problems have been discussed alot.
  8. .TGA is used in PhotoShop I think, which is probably what they use mainly.
  9. What I would like to see is if the fleet repairs itself if there is no space station in orbit.
  10. Odd that that information would be set in the .exe They would have to recompile it every time they added a ship or planet.
  11. I got the one listed to work by upgrading to .NET 2.0
  12. Would you be willing to share how you enabled building of the ships that had disabled buttons? Since that is the point of this thread, you know.
  13. Someone has posted a good .meg extractor here: http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=1938.0
  14. Ok, the issue that I found is that it will work if you have the .Net 2.0 fix installed. I had the 1.1
  15. Thought so... read my comment on that thread.
  16. the second link is dead and the first download gives an error when the .meg file is dragged onto the .exe
  17. What extractors are you referring to?
  18. The big accomplishment will be unlocking the Demo Locked buttons. Any luck on that?
  19. Edit the Demo Campaign to give the Empire a level 5 space station and nothing but ISDs for the asteroid map. That should add a little challenge for a while.
  20. You can retreat in the space battle (I think), but it seemed to be disabled in the demo. If you can not retreat in space, this is a new development.
  21. Hex Workshop is a good one. I would find things in notepad and then do the editing with a Hex Ed. Different files of course.
  22. Actually the best counter to the rebel troops seems to be the Tie Maulers. Those come 5 to a pop cap point and one can run over a whole group of inf. Not to mention the overload thing.
  23. As an Administrator, I leave it up to you as to whether or not we should nip this in the bud, or see whether or not he will do something to get himself insta-banned. I do think the avatar and sig combo is an eyebrow raiser, but for structure, the sig is a bit too large IMO.
  24. Huh? Fosh, are you feeling ok?
  25. What I have done is to change the values with a hex editor and made sure to replace characters and not insert or delete anything. The level 5 space station may be Rebel_Star_Base_4 and not Rebel_Star_Base_5. This is possible because of the way arrays are counted in most programming languages, i.e. you start counting from 0, not 1. As soon as you find something on that Akula, please post it here. I browsed through the exe some last night, but I won't be able to look for anything till I get home and that wont be for another 4-5hrs.
