I've had: NES, Gameboy, Genesis, Gamegear, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox. I really don't care who makes it, as long as they make quality games I liked. The only one that really disappointed me was the dreamcast, but that was because of its collapse, I enjoyed the games I had for it. I hate to keep saying this, but from my point of view wii and 360 look to be having the most quality and diversity, 360 and PS3 are too close in the game selections so of course I am going to go with the cheaper one.

That is really really disappointing. I was really looking forward to the idea one of the devs through out about the eclipse in GC. Where when the eclipse started construction in the maw a ticker would start, whatever faction has control of the maw when the eclipse is finished would get it. It sounded like a really great idea, and everyone here loved it. I don't think something like that can be modded in. Disappointing

To me I just saw it and it looked amazing. That one part in the clip where he did "good things for the monks" so they let him walk with them disgused as one so he can sneak up on his target. I never really got the GTA feel with it tho, looks like it is suppose to be more realistic than that. Especially since you can only take 1 blow to the head before you are dead you need to be really sneaky. edit: also I am getting it for the 360

They aren't exactly obsolete, the royal guards used pikes, jabba's crew used sword-like objects, and wookiees used swords.... anyway from looking at the IGN videos, he is a stealth attacker, he uses his cloacking device to hide himself, sneak up on enemies and kill them...an assassin of sorts.

Wow, information overload. Like the gun that turns the troop to bones, plus the kamakzie ewoks (I am sure people will love this, even if it is not near canon it will be fun). Also like the inclusion of some epIII music in the trailers. A lot of dark stuff so it probably will fit the underground.

If I had to choose only 1 of the systems I would have a really really tough time deciding, but I think the combination of the wii and 360 will meet my gaming styles exactly. Just making an educated prediction I figured PS3 will probably have 2-3 exclusive games in its run that I will really want. Ah well, I think I can live with not getting it.

Hopefully anything but an MMORPG. The only franchise that warrents an online community is GTA.

That's true, I am surprised they haven't made a mario RTS yet...

Eh I think scaling will be even tougher in this one, especially with them including the eclipse.

I made this so I wouldn't ruin the other thread: I don't know, I'm don't know anyone in real life that wants the PS3 in real life, serious gamer or not, even the most serious gamers I have heard laugh at it. And I have probably been playing video games longer than you, so I don't think I qualify as a n00b. Even in Japan, PS homeland, those polled say they would rather get a wii 2:1. Ok let's get this thing constructive, Post what systems you are planning on getting and why. Then post why you wont be getting the other system. I will be getting a : Wii: -Zelda -Fun Marioish Games (Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers) -All the old nintendo games -The controller -The strong possibilty of a lightsaber game. -Cheapest of the systems X360: -Kotor -Grand Theft Auto -Mass Effect -Cheaper than PS3 with likely price drop in near future -Assassin's creed (I just really payed attention to this game today when I saw the video posted on another forum and wow...just wow: http://www.2old2play.com/modules.php?name=Video&op=view&video_id=71) Why I wont get a PS3: -Expensive -One of its most popular games is charging you to download cars that should already be in the game. -Not many games I would buy that aren't coming out on the 360, my exception is Afrika...don't know what it is about but looks interesting. -Games are going to be higher than the other systems (US ~$70+)

I think it will make EAW a lot better game. What I really can't wait for is to see what someone like Bailknight can do with it.

They have added a few things fans wanted like unit placement, deciding what order to send units in to battle (space atleast), and oribital bombardment...off the top of my head, I think there is more.

That is one car, sure its not a lot, but like the article said, if you want the full game it is going to cost you hundreds of dollars. There is no good reason for them to do this, other than put more money into their pockets. In MMORPGs sure their is a monthly fee, but that is to keep servers stable. Sure there are expansion packs to some games, and sometimes they do rip you off, but a lot of times it is to enhance the game and it is made after the original was released. These are ready to be in the original game from the get go, but they gut the game and instead of making you unlock vehicles based on skill, giving you a sense of accomplishment, they make you buy them. Sure all video games are made to make money, but this to me is the worst management of a product I have seen since SWG (coincidently another sony product). Honestly this would piss me off if wasn't a sony product. I would be really interested to hear what the petroglyph guys think of this video game move. I can only imagine the outcry if they make this game $70+ like they plan on doing with the rest of the PS3 games. definitely rebel, look at the pic closer, rebel space ships and rebel land units and rebel symbol to the right. It is just the pirates spying on the rebel planet

Pretty good, article, got me more exicted for it then any other article so far. Just this sounds like bad story telling: Its a quick fix, its like all the EU writers giving an SSD to their bad guy to make them instantly powerful. Like others have said, good idea, but I doubt they would go for it.

They did add a new corellia map, so I don't think them adding a planet or two in would be out of the question. Especially if they use it as a tease for a future expansion.

The maps need to be bigger anyway
