  1. Hmm interesting, but not unexpected. I like this though, makes a lot of sense. The Geonosians are engineers and from what I hear they were actual slave laborers on the death star. Wookiees are just notorious for being slave labor.
  2. Yea, EJM is right, I am going to edit it to avoid any more confusion.
  3. He was 900years old, he was fighting fine for short times during EPIII, I'm sure a couple decades wouldn't hurt him that much. He could still left an x-wing up no problem. His health seemed like it deteriorated fast in EPVI, I would even go as far to say he let himself die, he knew Luke would need a lot of help fighting Vader and the Emperor and he knew the same thing Obi-wan knew...He could become more powerful dead than alive.
  4. The game starts 16 some years after EPIII. At this point Yoda is assumed to be on Dagobah, a deleted EPIII scene shows him going there (which will probably eventually be added to the movie) and it probably happened right after obi-wan and him spilt in the hopes of giving no time to track him down. So yea there is really no reason of having Dagobah that couldn't wait till an expansion. Delphi mentioned something about it being a good hidden base, but really when you go there you want to see Yoda. And I know I mentioned yoda wouldn't put up with imps on his planet, but also if Vader, The Emperor, or Obi-wan were there they would be able to sense him in a heartbeat.
  5. So far we know that some if not most heroes will have "their" ships. Boba will have his Slave 1, Vader will have his ISD..... Not sure what the Emperor would use. We have seen pictures with several units at once in an area, but this is probably something that will be balanced and at this time we do not know the exact number.
  6. I think it is fairly safe to assume given the chance and a way off the planet he would fight for the rebellion and probably run it (or be a high ranking member) given the oppertunity. I would imagine Obi-Wan would have done the samething if he had not died (being a war general, a jedi, and knowing the leaders of the empire the best). Yoda does fight for the rebellion in Battlefront II as well.
  7. Problem with that is then we probably have to lose Obi-wan, can't we have a star wars game where we truly get to change star wars history and have BOTH Obi-wan and Yoda fight for the rebellion.
  8. Sorry that was me that opened it. At the time I just looked for the insult (since that is why it was closed), and thought it was one that could easily be edited out and be handed a warning*. I didn't realize till later how much the thread went off topic. *I think we need a sticky in this forum for who we have warned, that way we can all keep track of who has been warned and who is due for a banning. Also it would be nice if we get a star wars forum and have debate threads (ie have one for length of an SSD, one for timeline issues, one for Han vs Greedo...things of that nature). That way we wont have a hundred of those threads and if a thread starts to go off topic we could redirect the debate there.
  9. But here are some of my little fourm philosophies: 1) A thread shouldn't be closed for one person's comments. It is nicer to edit the comment and hand out a warning if necessary. 2) Closing a lot of threads isn't usually the best option. It seems like recently every other thread is being closed. This isn't necessary on a forum like this, it is a slower forum and looking at the front page and seeing a bunch of locked threads usually doesn't reflect the best of your forum. 3) If a a thread goes off-topic (this is extremly common on a star wars forum, with all the many debates) I think we should move them to the star wars forum. 4) Reasons for thread closures are if it is a repeat topic, spam, or taken over by flamming. Anyway these are jsut some of my ideas. Not trying to call anyone out, this is just how I see things.
  10. same with yoda too.
  11. Why Yoda??? Hes in hiding. Hes not seen until episode 5. Yea, but the emperor isn't in episode 4 either and he is in the game. I just think it is weird, yoda hiding or not that if their was a battle on dagobah he would not join the fight.
  12. Wouldn't it be better and more fair just to edit the insult out?
  13. fakes
  14. Delphi said something ahwell back when the whole SSD thing happened that according to the LEC lore people, the A-wing fit into the ANH timeline.
  15. 1) Where does it say the galactic mod goes to EP VI? 2) Where does it say expansion pack for next christmas? Tho it makes sense since we can assume the clone planets are being put in it. And the missing units makes sense since delphi told us they mad 50, but lucasarts didn't want to use them all....they wanted to put them in a later expansion I think next christmas sounds right tho. They sound like they are already working on it and have planets and units already worked on.
  16. From what I have heard you can, there is a "sandbox" mode that allows you to play around with things freely.
  17. Wow, sucks that my computer probably wont play that.
  18. Yea that is exactly what I am saying, It would be really hard to make a game like that. It would be too open ended to work, and things could be changed so much that it wouldn't be star wars anymore. Like if at the end of the clone wars campaign the CIS win and they take over the galaxy. Who would fight them later? Would Ani and Padme still be together and have the twins? And then start a new rebellion against the CIS (Being lead by the emperor? Dooku? Or Grevious). Or if the republic doesn't collapse and the jedi order still survive and the CIS is defeated, who would be their enemy later? Definitely not a game possible at this time. Maybe some years down the road, would definitely be fun to play. So yea if they want to extend the timeline it would be through ROTJ and just use the clone wars planets as a selling point. I guess that could make sense, would really like to see that.
  19. Wow the broadside actually looks star warsy now!
  20. I have been wondering that myself. It would be very interesting to be able to play all the way from the clone wars through the OT, but like I have said be for the logistics of that would be a nightmare. To many what-ifs and probably not enough licensing. So I would think it would be more a long the lines of two seperate campains, the clone campaigns and the ANH campaign. but that really wouldn't be an expansion, but an entirely new game. So that could be what you are getting at Of course a true "expansion" would be to expand the timeline of the game to an ROTJ, but with the exclusion of the clone wars planets I'm thinking the game will be expanding backwards.
  21. Yea Fosh in the 5 questions thread that was closed, Delphi said the official list on the official site were not the complete here: http://swempireatwar.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1289
  22. Well looks like it is official, clone wars expansion I hope it includes OT additions tho for the original, like tie interceptors and b-wings, and it adds the new planets to the original.
  23. Delphi already told us the lists aren't complete. I say we ask Jugs first question.
  24. I think we should just go with new ones (I never cared much for those ones anyway), those are a bit outdated and new questions will reflect what we are currently interested in.
  25. If you look under "The movies" you can see a picture of it straight out of the movie: http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicle/atot/img/movie_bg.jpg
