  1. There is a demo out on various sites if you wanted to download and try it (1.2 gigs though). Overall a very enjoyable rtt game (real time tactical). A bit different from your average rts.
  2. I have an xbox 360 (got it for my bday). It suits my needs for what I use it for (offline games). I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy of it though. I love my pc.
  3. I was in the closed beta and the game plays very fast paced and it is very fun. You must use teamwork to do well in it. On a 3200+ amd athlon 64, 2 GB ram, and X1900GT it ran on medium with no lag.
  4. Interesting...... very interesting
  5. I reinstalled Kotor and am going to replay through it I think.
  6. Thanks Chip I'm dling it now.
  7. Looks good. Can only hope that pc will get a version.
  8. Probably be like JE and RE4 and will be ported about a year and a half after it is released (after getting the max money from console sales).
  9. EAW/FoC : Kind of better. Eaw and Foc were great games. (tie) BFME II : (better) CnC 3(what we know) : (based on the demo better) AoE III : (better) Warcraft III (haven't played it) Starcraft (see above) Company of Heroes (different kinds of games, again tie)
  10. Great name huh? Here's a link to the main site: http://www.worldinconflict.com/main/ It's supposed to release in the 3rd fiscal quarter of this year so look for it about September or thereabouts. Here's some info taken from the main site: http://www.worldinconflict.com/main/overview.html Overview World in Conflict West Germany, 1988. To avoid certain collapse, the Soviet army boldly advances into Europe. NATO responds only to be met on a second front -- a diversionary attack on the American homeland. You are a field commander, leading the era's most powerful military machines in the campaign to retake America's cities and suburbs. World in Conflict is under development by the leading creative and technical minds at Massive Entertainment, creators of the innovative and award-winning Ground Control series. Features * Superpowered Warfare Unleash the arsenals of the great military superpowers in the gripping single-player story created by best-selling author and Cold War authority, Larry Bond. * MassTech Engine The latest version of Massive's proprietary engine allows for a full 360 range of camera control, allowing you to get right down into the midst of battle. * Demolish Everything Destroy every object in the game - crush cars, destroy buildings, burn forests! * Drop-in Multiplayer Join on-going games and immediately help your team take control of the map. * Fast-paced Teamplay Master four different battlefield roles; Air, Armor, Infantry and Support, in the ultimate online teamplay experience. * Super Weapons Unleash ground-shaking artillery barrages, napalm strikes, and awesome tactical nukes that turn the tide of battle. That covers most of it. You can play the American campaign (there is no Soviet one) and either side MP. Also there is a third NATO faction. There are lots of videos on various sites. Graphically the game looks terrific and looks very fast paced.
  11. Found this link on the GS forums. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37986
  12. Happy B-Day!
  13. Ironic no? I will watch both ST and SW although I do enjoy SW better than ST. I've got nothing against "trekkies".
  14. I think he'd rather not break his nda.
  15. Yeah apparently LA is going to skip out on the pc for the time being. Fine with me I'll go play Dragon age instead and Hellgate London. rofl came across this quote "They probably feel sympathetic for those who won't be able to run it on their Computer". What a bunch of ignorant people. :
  16. I shall try the demo and see if it is to my liking. I haven't really played the old C&C games much (only been playing games for about 4 years now, but got the Decade pack) so the depiction of Kane doesn't bother me.
  17. Well I knew the Devs wouldn't be coming here very often after they got PF up and running decently but I certainly didn't think we'd get abandoned by them like it seems has happened.
  18. Canceled due to the lack of interest. I shall play EaW by myself that day in honor of a good SW rts.
  19. Thanks for the opinion. I was wondering whether to try it out and I guess now I will just to have a look-see.
  20. Ok so I lied about the free cake part. ;D Empire at War will have been released for a whole year this coming February 15th and I think we should honor that by having an event/day of playing some EaW games. I for one will be able to play. The date is set for Saturday, February 17, 2007. Jump on at any time if you see me on xfire message me or meet up in the game lobby, whatever. The time will probably be for early through mid afternoon (I may have hw or have to admin on the css server).
  21. I've waited for this since September 12, 2005 and now I know the name. Thanks for posting the magazine stuff Fosh. Sounds great!
  22. I didn't vote for GW although I play it a lot with you. Why? Because it is special interest to us two and not really anyone else on this forum (maybe ATAT).
  23. The only difference was that we actually knew something about EaW unlike P02 (which doesn't even have a name). Trust me once info gets released about P02 activity on the forums will skyrocket.
  24. I was chatting with ghostly via xfire a couple of days ago and I guess I'll post this here. While adding support and boards for a lot of games is great and shows dedication to covering all types of games, we are only about a dozen or so who regularly come to this site. Maybe we should keep the current threads system and only add a board for a game if/when it garners enough attention from the forumgoers.
  25. Maybe we could also have subforums for each console to post threads about those games as well?
