Spot on SirNuke. The Venator was removed from the site all the way back in early December. They were probably trying to work with it for a month and decided that they couldn't. We just learned about it and thought they had just decided to take it out on a whim, but I assure you that they had probably been working very hard on it to make it work.

Lol. Thanks for posting that Junker.

Another game I forgot to mention was Ghost Wars, which allows the user to take control of individual units during the game.

Will the weather on a planet be constant (this is for like rain or dust storms) or will it vary from time to time? IE no rain initially, but as you drop more troops suddenly it starts to rain so your laser units aren't as good now with decreased accuracy or something.

Thanks Delphi! I have full faith in the Petroglyph team in their work on this game. Make sure you take some time to relax as well.

Then why do you come? Do you enjoy your "cat and mouse" game? Do you think you are on the moral higher ground? By slandering these forums you think you're better than all of us that love the game and just want a quiet place to post ideas without all negative people ruining it? The answer is no of course. You can claim the high moral ground, but with each post you fall down in my eyes. Just calm yourself down. -

How about instead of continuing to post and cause problems you calm down and leave like you had planned? Problem solved. -
Instead they used them all to make the Death Star's outer hull. But the idea of droids converted to TV trays is hilarious. Anyway seriously I bet they dismantled them or tucked them away some place "safe".

I think that it will stack up well. It will be the first time that I can recall that a game will not only allow you to have a real time battle in space, but you can land troops and have another real time battle on the surface of a planet. No game to date that I can think of has done this yet. Then you have Company of Heroes with the awesome physics and Fully destructable environments. BFME2 with its new War of the Ring mode and create-a-hero and such. Warhammer Mark of Chaos with customization and large battles. Supreme Commander and the list goes on and on. Truly it will be a great year for the RTS genre.

That's just what I was saying Ghostly. It's ok to complain about the game. However don't turn every thread into a complaint. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm angry or something (I am a little), but I'm trying to be the least flamatory I can. I have no hard feelings toward Teradyn. -

Firstly Teradyn since you are a moderator why don't you take this argument inside the Maw Installation. Secondly it's not your complaining, but the fact that you continue to complain about the same thing in multiple topics that gets very annoying. -
I'm not trying to make rumors. I was just noting that the last several updates were on Fridays and was wondering if there'd be an update on this friday. There I changed the title to be less confusing so I won't get the brig for rumor-mongering.

Yeah but then you could always call in another fleet to try to win back the space. You bring up a good point though. A person just can't win the space and ground and think they've got that planet secure because the enemy could waltz right in 5 minutes later with a fleet and blockade the planet. -
Ummmm let's seee.......... maybe the fact that it has Star Wars ships in it? Only the Broadside being made up and the misrepresentation of the Marauder Corvette are what really goes against the Star Wars license. Saying that this game is just using the SW license to artificially drive up sales is way out of line. Little.B has played bits of the game and I'm sure he'd agree that it feels like Star Wars. Just because one ship isn't in doesn't mean it's not Star Wars.

Well the last couple of LEC updates for the main EaW site have come on Fridays. It would be cool if there was another update today!

Edit: not at Cain of course Yeah well whining about the same things in multiple threads isn't conducive to a good forum. You've made your points. I was surprised to see that Delphi-PG even came on last night, because I know I wouldn't in his place. People can you just please stop bashing at LA and Petro. Yes there are some things that didn't go the way we expected, but we're still going to get a good game. This is not a people v. mods thing. No way am I going to let this forum turn into a war (yes I am not a mod although I applied for modship). So for the sake of the rest of us forumgoers that are very interested in this game and get tired of the complaining (or as you call it discussion) and want to actually discuss the game instead of how LA or Petro screwed it up. I hope this doesn't get me banned, but if it does I hope the rest of you will at least think on what I have said. Peace to all. P.S. - can you guys have like 2 threads to discuss what you don't like so that the first 8 topics aren't all negative? thanks. -
Tenel Ka lost her arm when her newly constructed lightsaber exploded because her gem had a flaw in it.

How do you program heart into a game? That's my question for you. Yes the Empire could whup the Rebels, but the Rebels had heart and fought harder. How can you program that into a game? You boost the Rebel stats of course. Now you say that this is a pathetic attempt to balance a game where forces are not equal and that is true that they are not equal but unbalanced sides make for a very poor RTS experience. Ladder games with an unbalanced Empire would be a joke if someone liked to use Rebels. What strategy is there to a game where you know you can overwhelm the other side into submission and never lose because you can have more and better equipped large capital ships at your disposal. Call me confused but playing the Battle for Middle-Earth I can say that it was so unbalanced it wasn't very fun at all although the fun came with playing against others in mp. So before you start saying how pathetic their attempt at balancing is, just remember that it has to be balanced somehow. It's easy to be an Empire fan and say I want to crush the Rebels each time and such. On the flip side how about us rebel fans that would not enjoy the game as much because we couldn't even win a battle against the Empire. How many people would get a game that they knew if they played one side they'd win 90% of the time and the other side only wins 10% of the time. I'm sorry for the length of this and all but I just needed to get some things out. I'm not mad at you, just trying to post a new view on things. Oh yeah and here's some humor. Your gigantic fleet with the DS has come in to destroy my base and you're winning big and suddenly your DS blows up. That'd be a moral victory. P.S. - Can people stop spamming multiple topics about what amounts to the same thing in the GD forum? Maybe merge some of the similar topics? It gets depressing reading through all the negative posts and then trying to post a positive note about the game. -
Like the one you had on Civ4? Yeah Spore may be like that, but we'll see. Keep coming up with ideas Ghostly! You could be the next computer game genius or something.

On each other? No. However you could just pretend that they are all on their own plane and therefore could not actually cast a shadow on another asteroid.

Venator is out... Officially
Garbageben replied to Grand Admiral Thrawn 889's topic in EAW General Discussion
@ MasterTactician Sorry bud but the Venator has been cut according to LEC Rogue, who posted it the exact day that the preview with that screenshot came out. Until we hear otherwise just accept the fact that the Venator will not be in Empire at War. -
He lives in Canada btw. That's weird Ghostly that they wouldn't have it ready for preorder in Ottawa. I'm not going to preorder the game for personal reasons (not bad and Ghostly knows and better not tell anyone or else ).

That's right. I don't even think a Maruader Corvette even has missle tubes on it. Plus the gunship already has the ability to shoot missles. Anyway I don't really care about the Broadside that much.
