Gotta try that next time. Thanks. I´m just trying to finish the bespin-map in the galactic civil war-campagne. You really have to command your bots arround. I´ve allways tend to give some guys the order to defend a flag and, here you are, it´s much harder for the imps than to take it. Allthough I would like to experiment with all the soldier-classes you can play, I rather tend to play the ordinary stormtrooper/rebell soldier. All other classes may make sense in a multiplayer-battle, where there´s good teamwork. Playing on the separatists-side, I play the destroyer-droid. It´s fast, it has really powerful guns and it has shields. That´s a really good advantage to take/hold a flag.

Well I tried to use all of them. But I never discovered how I can choose between the grenades neither I could use any tools or anything. If I choose the alternative weapon as a pilot my hand is empty. Curious.

So I just have to stay nearby someone/something to heal/repair him/it? I don´t have to press any key?? Yes, I know, only Dark and ARC-Troopers are able doing the rocket-jump.

Uhm, yes, me. I´ve just bought it a couple of weeks ago for about 7 bucks on ebay in a new condition (!). I like it. It has nice graphics and the gameplay is ok. Allthough I still haven´t found out how to repair things, heal comrades or doing the rocket jump. But all in all I do prefer the Star Wars Mod for Battlefield 1942. So how can I join a Battlefront-Server? I tried it, but allthough I´ve got an GameSpy-Account I failed to connect to any server, nor to see any.

Well that´s just a wishfull thinking. But I guess it´s rather true that everything we saw in the Special Edition plus the Prequels were GL´s own ideas. But anyway, funny vid.

Ties are also useful in distracting enemy vessels and fighters. They rather shoot your fighters first instead of your ships. That gives you a little bit time to bring your ships in range and fire first. While the X-Wings are about to destroy your Ties, the lancers can take them out very easy or at least reduce their strength. I´ve got a carrier in my fleet very often and it´s very helpful. Like mentioned, you can´t compare rebel and imp fighters 1:1. That´s impossible. You need another kind of tactics in using Ties than in using X-Wings. That´s my point of view as an old W40K-Veteran. It´s alive!

Oh, I like Ties. They are cheap, very fast built and they can knock out rebel fighters if they are outnumbered. Later when the Tie Bomber is invented you also can lower the capital ships shields down with them. Of course they are no match against an X- or A-Wing, but later when the Tie-Interceptor is available the ballance is back again.

What do they want to show us in that series? It was told in the first SW-Movie, that the rebellion just has started and they just won their first battle or something. So we can see the rise of the empire, clonetroopers becoming stormtroopers, system after system will be succumbed and the members of the senate are just discussing all the time, while some, like Organa and Mothma support very small rebell units?? So I guess there will be just lots of talking. We allready had that in Episode 1 to 3.

I can remember that once I´ve managed to defend Yavin from two SDs with just 3 or 4 X-Wings. They had no Fighter´s and no Lancer-Frigates with. ROFL!

I´m not quite sure how I have to feel about that. (both source: Wikipedia) OMG that series was so booooring. Noooooo! And Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader?? Why? Maybe for shots without his helmet I guess.

Lol! No, Mon Calamari Cruisers are no match to any Star Destroyer. Their shields are much too weak. You will need at least two of them, maybe even in a combination with Nebulon Frigates, to win against a SD. Maybe you´re X- or Y-Wings did a really good job against the SD. I rather guess that´s why you´ve won the combat long ago in a galaxy far far away...

A remake of the OT??? No! Please not! The Special Edition was just that worse enough. Allthough this is a thread about the "best SW-Memories", it seems that also the worst are mentioned here. So I got to say why the heck did they had to put in that scene in the SE-Version of TESB where Vader arrives at his SSD from Bespin? And why did they have to take another voice-actor just to let him say "prepare my shuttle" or something like that?? There was absolutely no need for that!

Not to forget one thing that is that imperial comanders have a much higher comanding-rate than those of the rebells. As far as I can remember there is no one with a comanding-rate less than 100, while the rebells haven´t got anyone with more than 100. If a vessel is comanded by Dorja for example, it will be much harder to defeat it.

Agreed! Unless he´s really doing better some day, which is rather impossible.
