I just want to point out that the unemployment rate doesn't actually look at the number of people that are without a job. If you're jobless for x number of years, you are no longer taken into account. (I forget what the number is/how they calculate the percentage, and I'm not worried about it right now. I'll look it up later if someone is really interested.) @Eagle and LLF: I understand what you're saying about change. That is actually one of the reasons I like Obama so much. If you look at his campaign contributions you won't find a single lobbyist. Nor will you find a single "special-interest" group. I put the quotes in because everyone, and every group, has a special-interest. Obama, at least on the surface, wants to revamp the system here. He wants to, well, here.
