Well put Tufo, you forgot the bit about having the right to own a Abraham Tank to 'feel safe as you drive the kids to school and to work' To be fair, British society has grown apart from how you lot have grown to govern firearms, I don't really understand your need, but what SOCL said above seems obvious and would make me want emigrate away from such a society.

I spent this afternoon with my dad and my little ten year old Canadian bro who is now ten, I last saw eight years ago.

Good God! Some animal mashes i've been swiping off the images i've been uploading to the ZSL Image data base from professional photographers, only seemed right to abuse their work: The Lord of the Small Fluffy things: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1200943188/LionTamarin.jpg A Squirrel Monkey: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1201453450/Squirrelmonkey.jpg The Regal Falcon Tamarin: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1201379622/FalconTamarin.jpg And just to show i've not lost my Star Wars wings: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1200853119/escape.jpg I know it's a biggy all in one go, but i've been away working hard!

Your avatar was woo, simply on account of the expression you captured Easter!

I know a good copy and paste exists, but I agreed with my boss in that I should get familiar with it

Nicely Krytos! http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1200260011/troopercrawford.jpg Can you imagine the Intergalactic peace if she was cloned?

Yep! The annual 'stock take' we do once a year for the camera's. You couldn't move for news crews and photographers in the zoo on Thursday. It's a great freebie for publicity, but all a decption if you think about it. All zoo's know how many animals they've got on a day by day basis if you think about it!! But the public love it, as do the editors of newspapers, given it's an easy half page with something fluffy. Speaking of fluffy, this little fella appeared at 10:00 am yesterday, taking us all by surprise. A baby Titi monkey: Clicky for biggy

Nice idea E, but i'm out i'm afraid, given my PC is eight years old, and doesn't have any idle processing power to speak of, and i'm still paying off a credit card before I can replace it.

Bravo J! That's very chivalrous of you. I'll put in a good word to the jolly ol' elf to stick a little something extra in your stocking this year I always like going on a "walk" with the dogs; it's very relaxing It's actually a revelation, given I have never been a dog-walker in my life; but Missy has obviously been trained, and is not one of these Pit Bull Terrier's the working class over here completely mishandle. She is the most mellow animal I have ever encountered, and by and large alerted me to thinking about owning a dog of my own, as a family pet; though given the circumstances, I may be walking this lovely creature every night for a while. Which I don't mind doing. Hilary is hospital bound at least until mid January, and even then won't be any condition to walk her grayhound hopping around on a zimma frame. But forty minutes after dinner isn't a problem. She's trained to the Off-Licence. ^that with noisy Spaceshutles, Life is hard i'm afraid, give your self a good headstart whilst it's all being provided for you.

Dunno why I wrote that, but no The future of Refurbished depends on my holiday boredom factor Given the original person of the vision of Reloaaded is quite frankly never here, it's hard to see anything fresh happening there. This game has never failed to bore me to much, it's epic We just need some crafty soul to hack the source code, and deliver us detail

A worthy beak. If you follow the SW expanded universe with deft geek-accuracy, you will observe there never were stuff like Allegiance-class Star Destroyers (it was the name of a SSD that incredibly was taken out due to surprise), other than in the completely over the top artwork of artists who perhaps care less to attention to the SW universe than geeks who by definition have over analyzed every comic image ever seen, and created an incredible website of pointless detail, now sadly EU 'canon.' Sorry, but force.net is about the saddest thing I've seen, concerning my status as a Star Wars enthusiast, simply down to the dickhead who is comming out with the over the top analysis, given his fanatical attention to things in three decades of SW comics Edit: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1197838950/Leiatheskintstudent.jpg Now that's for Paul

I am utterly speechless in my devestation. Due to work I have not had the time to be around these parts of late, nor reply to his last email he sent to me at work on the 9th of this month, informing me his brother was being posted to Afganistan. If I hadn't been so weighed under, I would have replied wishing his brother not least the all the best for his tour of duty, and sending him some kindest, fondest regards for his family, as he sent to mine. But I didn't manage it in time, and now my soul feels some guilt. Paul, you were an excellent mate, and the most excellent of gentlemen around these parts, and will be badly missed. What you've had to go through of late simply doesn't seem fair. I type these words in a state of shock, and will try and get to grips with this tomorrow. At the moment I am to blown away to even try. You were the most steadfast Imperial I ever met: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1197763470/UnitedEmpireofAmerica02.jpg Your home grown Empire dude! Sleep peacefully my friend The Force will be with you, always

An elderly neighbour of mine recently slipped on some wet leaves and broke parts of her knee-cap; she is still in hospital. She has a magnificent greyhound called 'Missy' I am now taking for walks after work, about the most placid animal I have ever encountered. No snow yet, but lots of ice; as a non-dog walker, I can confirm these guys take you for a walk, at pace, even on slippery, icy pavements. Can't wait till tomorrow

Luke hunting Wamprats on Tattooine: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/9805/1197152271/Wamprats.gif Those white blobs I missed didn't show up on the white forum I first posted this on, oh well! A bit of background: Press Release 7th December 2007 FOOTAGE AND HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST STRICTLY EMBARGOED UNTIL 00:001 10th DECEMBER 2007 First known footage of extraordinary desert creature The Zoological Society of London (ZSL)’s has today released the first known footage of the long-eared jerboa in the wild, an extraordinary mammal found in the deserts of Mongolia and China. The tiny creature looks like a mouse-sized kangaroo with enormous ears. This endangered animal was filmed during a recent ZSL expedition to the Mongolian Gobi desert to track down and assess the species. The long-eared jerboa is a small rodent that can be easily distinguished by its giant ears, which are about one third bigger than its head, and its legs, which are specially adapted for jumping like a kangaroo. Currently, the species is classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, with habitat disturbance the species’ key threat. ZSL were privileged to film individual jerboas in their natural environment and study their behaviour. The species is one of those highlighted by ZSL’s EDGE programme, which focuses its efforts on species that are Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered. Dr Jonathan Baillie, ZSL Head of Field Conservation and leader of the expedition, commented, “The footage and images from this expedition really are extraordinary, and incredibly charming. The long-eared jerboa is a bit like the Mickey Mouse of the desert, cute and comic in equal measure. When people see ZSL’s footage of this tiny threatened creature I am convinced they will want to get involved in its conservation. Unfortunately, it is just one of many amazing and unusual animals that are highly threatened but receiving little or no conservation attention’’. ZSL has recently appointed an in-country scientist (known as an EDGE fellow) who is studying the species’ distribution, behaviour and ecology. The EDGE fellow is also investigating the threats facing the species and has already identified the emergence of the domestic cat as a newly introduced predator to their range as a significant danger. The results of this research are being used to formulate an Action Plan to effectively conserve the species. In January 2007, the EDGE team assessed all mammal species and released the list of the top 100 EDGE mammal species. From the top 100, the team chose ten key species that were receiving little or no conservation attention to focus on in the first year of the programme, one of which was the long-eared jerboa. The long-eared jerboa (Euchoreutes naso) is a terrestrial jumping rodent found in southern parts of Mongolia and north-central areas of China. The species is primarily nocturnal, spending the daylight hours in underground tunnels, and insectivorous. The main threat to the species is thought to be human disturbance of its habitat, but very little is currently known about the species. Clicky for huge fluffy ears

Is it me, or is the site Painfully slow at the moment?
Jahled replied to Jahled's topic in Public Feedback
Emm, reaching the site isn't a problem. It's when I hit reply to a post then a delay of about forty seconds kicks in waiting for the 'post a reply' page to load. I'm on fast broadband, and waste most of my time online on an exceedingly 'heavy' humorous graphics-orientated web-site where I don't encounter this lag, so I'm stumped! Oh, and when I hit preview to this very post, it came up instantly! I honestly haven't had any time to check on either web site from work's servers due to the present work load, but I think I didn't encounter this when I last had a quick peek here one lunchtime, so for reasons unknown I think it must be something to do with my Internet provider, perhaps* *Clueless mode -
Another six months... What is this software, mate? It's called Sqirlz Reflections, and is freeware. A simple google search should pull up a download site. It's also very easy to use! Not just water reflections, but rain and the snow effect as well. Your present avatar is brilliant LF dude! A word of warning though, to you who wouldn't normally be mindful about file size considerations (which you have to on web sites), is that it tends to save .gifs at very large file sizes, so I tend to optimize what it churns out in Image Ready. Easy and great fun to use though, so I recommend it to all! If you can't find it, email me and i'll send you the zip file

Seems to take agggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss for pages to load Edit: waiting apparently for 'googlesyndi-something' or other to load I can presumably adblock this with Firefox, right?
