  1. Care to run that past your average layman, dude!
  2. I like your avatar! Cool!
  3. From the lucasarts website for you guys in the States. We've been here before; a thorough ten minute web search should get you a good legal copy!
  4. I'm not entirely certain why you concerned with 256 colours with cards! You don't need to be! I've never had to adjust a card to 256 or whatever, it's either a good image or it's not. I wouldn't know how to adjust anything to '256' anyhow! Dude, email me all the images concerning one of the cards that's giving you problems and i'll have a look in photoshop. jahled@madasafish.com
  5. I'm no expert but in my experiance you generally have to reduce the size down to something near the size of the template. I'm presuming you mean the Build/system entry? Click on the arrows for the fleet and tactical, rebEd does it for you.
  6. Dude, I gave this a go, and naturally stumbled into a mine field of problems. Some questions: - When I put the rubber gloves over my ears I end up looking like a moose, any advise as to where exactly...oh..hang on, err..that wasn't my question! Seriously: - Can the proceedure be used to replace the starfield in the tactical game? If so, where is the entry in the files? -How, in Paintshop or Photoshop, can I scale the image I want to use down to 256 colours? -When replacing the images using resource hacker, I will obviously keep the same name that i'll be replacing, but what about the other two? Is the language going to be 1033, as in the ships & fighters? -I'd love to give an example of the starfield I downloaded from spaceflight.com, but can't seem to upload it to my msn passport web space. Is there any other way I can somehow upload it here for everybody else to gibber and drool over? Your advise would be sincerely welcomed! I've at pains about this for months and months. I apologize about my cat. (above)
  7. My friend, upon reflection of the last fourteen hours worth of gibberish and chaos i've been posting, in your shoes, I wouldn't let 'me' anywhere near your said forums..... message understood...
  8. Pissed out of his mind, the Gonk droid set out to work: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QQDeAlMT9HnYM4yFfV!YDcn744X!wAwkvsy!U5QD9oPjdy3xE8P1L9SPEpr69e2sISAR5ftR64!XnJRbngZlW70MxIGK6tKCpgQvIuuRHyo/atst_2.gif
  9. Are you published, sir?
  10. Dude, your a brave a man mentioning that evil feline's name, Costa Rica isn't out of his reach if he got poor Untimely in the States! Anyway, I just had a look at the FAQ section in the menu and there isn't anything there! Perhaps-webmasters-you can assign somebody to look after this side of things as some kind of 'trouble-shooter' and/or person responsible for collating frequently addressed questions/queries about the game with member's responses. We would quite quickly create a very useful database of information newbys, and seasoned players could go to for information regarding rebellion or RebEd.
  11. Elvis...leaving the hazards and stress of his offices in London finally arrived home...it was odd, he thought, a can of Fosters should be waiting on his doorstep, exactly where his milk was usually placed. He shrugged, it had been a hard day, trivial matters didn't realy concern him at this stage. Scooping the can up, he turned his keys and entered his hallway. The can of lager was strangly cool in his grasp... He failed to notice a pair of wiskers vannishing behind his neigbour's fence. Without much thought, his index finger found itself caressing the lid, junk mail lay at his feet, local newspapers; nothing out of the ordinary... Elvis found his finger cracking open the can.... http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/pictures/nuclear/upshtk.jpg
  12. Ok! Who knows how I can loop that Wav file so whenever I log onto swrebellion I can have it in the background to get the feel of things? Knowledgable suggestions here please! I'm also going to record my message on my mobile phone with that in the background, cool eh! My contacts in the transport industy will envy my wit and managerial-prowess! My girlfriend just might consider it the final straw...
  13. ...emmm...I presume you've extracted the Eclipse .x file into your Rebellion/Supremacy main folder?
  14. Rubbish! All Imperial Officers are trained to have impeccable table manors!
  15. ..emmm...yes, I see what you mean....it would appear the dark lord of gibberish has reared his mumbling head....errr.....ummmm....errrr....ummm...emmmm..... NEITHER! BECAUSE I'M SPEAKING CRAP AGAIN!!!! Something inbetween I guess....
  16. ..emm..i'd disagree with you on your final point my friend, I don't think failing a research & development mission indicates a traitor... Cold up here isn't it!
  17. Look at the effect that cocktail has on droids though: http://www.monkeychops.karoo.net/b3ta/anigifs/droidschool.gif
  18. Donuts...the secret fuel of the Imperial war-machine!
  19. A character will never physically go over to the other side. When characters turn traitor, two things will happen: Any missionn you assign the character to, including diplomacy, will automatically fail. The opponent will will 'leaked' random bits of information regarding your side.
  20. My humble suggestion would be to download it again. If the problem still persists I guess is a software problem. Does anybody else use Windows XP with Resource Hacker?
  21. You want scary? Check this out...in a darkened room...alone.... http://www.moviewavs.com/Movies/Star_Wars/breath.wav
  22. ...emm..bare in mind that in the book, Veers also dies when a snowspeeder crashes into his AT-AT's cockpit! Happily not in the film!
  23. Elvis, honestly man, you can be so naive! I thought it was common diplomatic knowledge that Micky Mouse is the prime mover in this whole affair.
  24. Untimely suddenly saw an unopened can of Fosters on the floor beside his desk, where did that come from he wondered! He barely notised the ginger tail disapearing out the doorway. Oh well! He thought. Might as well drink it! http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/pictures/nuclear/teapot.jpg
  25. Say, i've been brooding on this, and reckon there should be a point where gravity wells shut down when the ship has taken a certain amount of damage, like in the grphic novel: 'The Phantom Affair.' Anyway, speaking of Tractorbeams: http://mysite.freeserve.com/king_dong/images/5-picture1.jpg?0.6835383699241364
