  1. I've only ever seen Stargate SG-1 on the Space channel. Sometimes I watch parts of episodes when nothing else in on. Or if I'm bored. Or if the alternative is Andromeda. http://andromeda.darkstar.st/actiondylan.html I've seen a few things about the newer Stargate series but never seen it on TV.
  2. Doesn't matter. They don't count as Star Wars books per-se just as side stories. Or Tales from the Galaxy of fear.
  3. Sweet! Now I can get my signature to work finally. I've been meaning to look into that but kept forgetting.
  4. There's some program similar to Google Map that the CNN guys have been using lately to look at the layout of New Orleans. Anyone know what it is? It seems to have a good resolution on the maps they have.
  5. I helped my sister move today while we were being rained on by the remnants of the storm. It stopped just after we finished. On the way back the clouds looked like a flotilla of the most beautifullly sculped Mon Cal cruisers. As ususal I did not have my camera with me. Local gas prices jumped more than twenty cents per liter in most places with the refinery closures in the states. Some places just started gouging the prices to see what they could get out of people. (Current average; $1.20 per litre. ) I just saw on the news a few minutes ago that some airlines can't fly because they've run out of fuel.
  6. *BwwweeeEEEEEEEEPP* CLEAR! *PHUMP* Again! *BwwweeeEEEEEEEEPP* *PHUMP* Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep... The Patient appears to be alive sir, we have a post.
  7. The download is now up for the Yuuzhan Vong Cruiser Analog! The Matalok! Wooo!!!! *Music in the background* "Hallelujah!" http://www.swrebellion.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=112
  8. No. Much much later. Like 2001. I used to watch the show on TV for the first season. ALEX MANN IS ACTION MAN! It was an attempt to make a cg tv show that had "Bullet Time" moments. Big supprise, they needed to face down some evil doctor... over something. ...um yeah. EDIT: So i'm thinking now that it was a remake of an earlier show. Or several earlier shows. There's an Action Man animated movie dated 1995. It looks like Action Man was a GI Joe-esq toy line in the UK between 1966-1984. The line came back out in 1994 but was considered a dissapointment. http://www.answers.com/topic/action-man http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=4ng3ktao6p82o?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Action+Man+%28television%29&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc05a The one I was thinking of was made by Mainframe Entertainment, the makers of Reboot. http://www.mainframe.ca/
  9. I forget nothing about the Yuuzhan Vong... I just intentionally leave stuff out sometimes to minimize confusion. The Yorrik Trema Landing craft or "Crate" is a good sized boxy transport used to land troops in hostile environments. When it comes to landing things like a Rakamaat or setting up Damutek's the Vong bring in Corvette, Frigate or larger transport analogs. The Crate would not work well in Rebellion as a ship type for the same reasons we don't see the Lambda class shuttles or Landing craft puting regular troops down on a planet. It would have to be designated as a fighter to fit aboard the larger cruisers, and it would need to be a ship to carry the troops. Rebellion isn't quite that good and won't be until we get the source code. (You would need atleast 4 Crates to land 1 troop regiment.) And the worlship would be so hard to model that I literally don't want to ask somone to do it. http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/postt2815.html *Mock trial* Judge: "As punishment for your cromes you will be forced to model a Yuuzhan Vong Worldship." H4x0r: "NOOOOOooooOoOOooooo!"
  10. -Shields are atleast equal to those on the ISD. -Weapons are 20% more powerful. -Can carry 3 squadrons ( 1 NR fighter Wing ) - 1-2 Troop Regiments ( Something like 1,200 troops)
  11. This may be severly off topic but... http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/OMG%20I%20can%20see%20the%20car.JPG ZOMG I CAN SEE MY CAR!
  12. *Raises hands* Don't shoot! Anyways I was just pointing out one possible place. It was the first one I found in five minutes of searching. I understand that they're high poly and was thinking that it would be better as an example of good model working. I remember an old untextured model of the ship in the mod for Homeworld 1. (Even it seemed to have a poly count on the high side.) The New Rebellion Mod? I forget, it's been 2 years since I tried it.
  13. New plan. Dauntless slot is used for Vong Heavy Cruiser Analog. Bulwark slot is used for worldship. ...man... I don't WANT to have to have to ask somone to make a model for the worldship. It's just too crazy. http://www.starwars.jp/machine/image/worldship.jpg See?
  14. The Sin City Trailer set for 'loop' and minimized.
  15. The only pictures you ever see of Vong ships are few and far between. Corralskippers show up fairly often on the North American book covers. The only time a cruiser was on a NA cover was Onslaught. That being said the Japanese cover for onslaught was much better. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/NJODesktop.gif The only other time Vong ships are shown on a cover are some (poorly done) Cruisers in the Japanese part 2 of The Unifying force. Everything else is by description, which sometimes changes per author. I'll list off what I can. Corvette Analog Slightly shorter than the Corellian Corvette, this lump of coral could almost be described as blocky. Normally used for surface landings they have a mostly flat bottom. (I know less about this class than any other.) Frigate Analog These oblong ships almost look like a slightly larger more rounded version of the Lancer Frigate. Light Cruiser Analog Essentially a Cruiser Analog that still has some growing up to do. Carrier Analog The only book I remember these actually being dscribed in was Agents of Chaos II durring the attack on Fondor. Heavy Cruiser Analog These ships start out big and grow even bigger. The younger ones outpower an ISDII. As they grow and take damage in battle, the hulks of smaller ships are grafted onto it. Eventually this type of growth can result in a ship like the massive 'Legacy of Torment' as seen at Ithor. (I'm just going to have one fixed set of stats for these ships.) Warmater Tasavong Lah commanded from a ship of this type, the Sunnlok (sp?) Which was destroyed at Coruscant.
  16. Major Telik A special forces expert and Commando. He served with intelligence for many years and is believed to have been given special missions direct from Ysanne Isard at times. He has been known to appear at the right place and the right time to help allies out of tight situations. Though appearing thin he is much stronger than meets the eye. Diplomacy 0 Varience 30 Espionage 80 Varience 35 Combat 70 Varience 30 Leadership 80 Varience 25 (As seen in Isard's Revenge)
  17. The Hapan Battle Dragon. http://www.galaxy-force.com/hapan/warships/pics/dragon.gif The most powerful ships of the fleets belonging to the Hapes Consortium. Goodness knows we have enough cards for this ship floating arround. Not to mention the Nova Class Cruiser which acts as escort for the Dragons. I know there are models of this ship arround somewhere, so the best option would be to just convert one to Rebellion. ...I think I found something. http://xpi.org.uk/~swma/archives/other/battleships/battleships.htm
  18. Man, we never got to learn any cricket in Highschool. Only Lacrose (sp?) and football (The crazy kind where you need padding.) That's because it's a game you play not watch. Atleast that's my take on it after playing it ten years. (Man I'm out of shape. *huff* *puff* I should start playing again.)
  19. This seemed like the best place to post this. I've been trying for some time to install the MC-90 model converted by Billy Loomis. It originally was an XWA OPT by John "JM" Myers. The files that extract from the downloadable zip file are; medium x File close x File far_mc x File mc90lite BIN File mc90hull BIN File mc90h_m BIN File _How does this work.txt No matter what I do I can't seem to get the ship model to load. http://www.swrebellion.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=50 Would it be possible for somone to convert this to an RMD file? Edit: I am such an idiot. All I needed to do was rename the far_mc to just plain far.
  20. HUZZAH! .... ...... .... I can't find it. Perhaps it has not yet been added to the model list by the host? I can already tell from your post that it is a masterfuly done ship. (I could already tell from your other previews.) *Stamps list of thing to collect for the mod* [CRUISER ANALOG COMPLETE] I hate to impose on you for so much but this should be easy(-er). If you scale the model up 20-30% that would easily fit the Heavy Cruiser Analog. (Using this model as a base, all you would need to do is increase or decrease the scale to create almost all of the other Vong ships. ) If anyone else could do the same I'd be happy. And take your time. I'm way behind schedule.
  21. When it comes to choosing which side you want a ship on it really only counts if it's a starting ship from what I can see. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Selector.JPG I think that I've mannaged to turn off the DS Super Laser. I just took away all of it's weapons, and Recharge. There's still the problem of getting rid of that nervour Rebel kid's voice saying. "Warning! Death Star Approaching! omgit'sgoingtokillusallnoes!!11oneone.... yeah... But the voice seriously needs to go. I still have to try it on the NR side to see what happens. The DS doesn't really have much use of all the other weapons anyways except in planetery bombardment. Worldships are never brought close enough to a hostile planet to make that an issue. It's mainly dependant on it's cruiser support for that kind of thing. And what's to stop people from building Center Point station somewhere else other than at Talus and Tralus? I'm sorry but as cool of an idea as it is I'm beginning to agree less and less with putting CP Station in the mod. EDIT: CRAP! I just remembered something important! LACK OF BEING ABLE TO GET KILLED. *Slaps forehead* A Death Star Run attack could kill anything put in that slot. Capital ships could never destroy it even with weapons taken away. ...hmm. Dang it, i don't really want it in a regular ship spot because then I'll need a model for it. Does anyone know if there a way to replace the Death Star Run with a Starship Kamikazi run like at Borleas?
  22. Oh my God. I had the theme song from this show (Which I haven't watched in 7..8..9 years) pop into my head yesterday while playing halo online. "Go, go, Power Rangers! Dooo dee dee duu duu..." I then immediately scored several "Killtackular!"s with my sniper rifle while humming it... O M G! I must be a Mighty Morphing Sniper Ranger!
  23. I made up a Card for the Republic class Star Destroyer but i haven't uploaded it yet. I used a picture from the Star Wars Warlords mod for Homeworld 2 and won't upload the card until I find out who modled the thing. That doesn't mean you can't take a look though. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Republic%20Star%20Destroyer.bmp
  24. How can no one have mentioned Cowboy Bebop yet? One of the best animated features I've ever watched. Yes it's rated 14+ in most countries or higher due to violence and other stuff. It happens when you're a bounty hunter. (Star Hunter is totally a rip off of Bebop. Of course others have said that same thing about Firefly.) If you want an animated kids move I would go with Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Best music ever. EDIT: Shoot, Evaders already said Castle in the Sky... I SECOND THIS MOVIE!
  25. I just about fell over when i read NJO: Ylesia and the Peace Brigade had a Republic class Star Destroyer as the center of their fleet. But it's not impossible considering that by the mid point of the war many planets had surrendered to the Vong without a fight. As the war got worse the Vong started giving the Brigaders more and more captured New Republic Equipment. The Assault Frigate was a stop-gap for the Rebel Alliance ment provide them with cruisers that they otherwise would not have had access to. They were built mainly out of scrap and were hard to maintain. Those that wern't phased out before the end of the civil war scrapped in peace time. (I'm sure there are a handfull arround somewhere, just not many.) Into the war KDY and it's satelite Factory worlds began producing a variation based on the Nebulon B Frigate. It was designed to carry atleast four squadrons of A-9 Vigilance interceptors and could act in an anti-starfighter role as well. It was still just as horribly weak as the original in terms of armour and shielding. The Hapan Nova class cruiser. As you may remember the Hapan fleet was mostly blown away at Fondor when Center Point station fired. As a result many members of their navy deserted after they returned to Hapes. Several of the smaller cruisers were stolen by their crews when they joined the Peace Brigade. The old VSD in gone completly, all of them would have been scrapped or converted to VSDII. (Which I'm modifying to carry 1 regiment) I've used this slot for the MC-90 Star Cruiser which will give the player a good amount of punch at the start of the game. The older ISD keeps it's slot but will get a (tiny) weapons upgrade to reflet the increase of weapons technology. (Many of the older ISD's were seen through the series, including the 'Rebel Dream,' and 'Right to Rule.') Center Point station is a good idea that I hadn't though of. ( I don't suppose you'd be nice enough to make a card of that. ) I'm still considering a Vong worldship for that spot because they're big enough, and are somtimes used to support large scale operations. It can carry the numbers of troops and fighters that only a DS can.
