Def awoke with a start from the lond blaring of base alarms going off. klaxons... He thought to himself, who the heck came up with that name for an alarm? I hate stobe lights. Hope they don't give me a seizure. In either case he was going to need something for the headace that felt like it was trying to drive his brain out of his skull. Looking down he noticed his pants were a mess and vagely remembered a medic hauling him back here before he threw up. Eww... Throwing on a new pair of pants and the rest of a black uniform that the madic had been kind enough to leave out, he sprinted towards the control center. Russing through the entrance he skidded to a halt behind the nearest sensor opperator. "What's going on here? You'd think there was a full base alert going off in my ears." The junior officer (obviously a new recruit) shuddered as he glanced at his readings. "Its... Its... Sithspit, its an ISD III... Headed straight for us!" He finally blurted out. Others began to enter the command center. Krytos, Tex, Mitth and a few others. After a short conversation between the three Mitth headed out towards another part of the base. Def was certain he had seen Evo off in that direction in his dash to the command center. "An ISD III..." Sithspit! The base only had some uglies for defense. Even it they had been some of the new A-B Wing Uglies he had been designing recently they still couldn't kill a ship that size. "Unless..." Def bolted out of the command center. The others in the room hadn't noticed that he'd even been there until he moved. Reaching the bio-lab, Def called up the results that the computer had analysed while he had been unconsious. Sure enough Large sections of the DNA patterns of the FURBALL sample lit up bright green. That still didn't help. The enemy had an ISDIII. Even if he could get a bio weapon made there was no way to deliver it... Defender started madly searching through the incredible technologies hidden away in the vault untill he found the two items he wanted. A pinpoint sensor array normally used for detecting an analysing objects several light hours away, and a small teleportation device. Mitth had obviously just tossed this teleporter in here just for kicks since it was much too small to move anything larger than a softball. But it would do the trick. Running out of time! Def hooked both pieces of equipment into the systems already handling the DNA scanners. He placed a large container of Hydrochloric acid in the space between the teleportation plates, activated the sensor array on full power and switched it over to life reading scans. "This had better work." The genetic analysis systems in the computer were able to take the sensor readings and lock onto any life forms that had the specific DNA sequence that was the same between all of the samples. Defender hit the switch, teleporting miniscule ammounts of the acid into concentrations of cells with the correct sequencing. +++ Up on the ISDIII Tofu and the crew of the ship watched as a high powered laser bolt approached the ship from below. The kitten at the opperations console in front of Tofu dropped dead. Bare seconds later the laser blast hit the ship’s port side just forward of the docking bay, punching clear through to the other side. With much of the crew dead and unable to seal bulkhead doors, most of the ship's atmosphere is lost to space. Something must have gone wrong on the auxilliary bridge because not long after, the mighty warship began to fall out of orbit. The white painted bow started to turn cherry red from re-entry heat. By the time Defender reached the command center again, the entire room was filled by a stunned silence. Def's jaw dropped. Oh my God. If that ship crashes on Earth it'll cause a nuclear winter!

Arg. I didn't include the Torpedo sphere as a superweapon because it uses conventionally available technology that any Nerfherder can assemble given enough Cash. http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Torpedo_Sphere Son of the Sith! Those things had a lot of launchers on them! I thought I remembered reading there being something like 20 launchers not 500. Even so, it's not the best ship to ship platform you would expect from something three times the mass of an ISD. Though much cheaper than super weapons, maintaining the supply of torpedoes for the station are bound to be expensive.

Cut off his hand!? Mabey I'm on the wrong side here. If I joined up with Tofu all I'd have to look out for is either force lightning of a lightsaber through the back...

Pwned and pwnt are a netural de-volution from owned through leet speak. Use of the 'P' in owned began long before World of Warcraft came out. EDIT: Muahahahah, I finally get to read the Leet speak Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet

http://www.conzilla.info/images/kevin-anderson.jpg AAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!! IT'S A PARTIAL COMBOVER SUPERWEAPON!!!!! Quick! Before he turns the New Sith order into a DUNE Prequel! EDIT: Anyways lets get back on track. Anyone else think it would be a good idea to try and find a way to limit the use of superweapons if possible?

Defender entered the vault where Evo and Mitth were already waiting. "A new face?" Asked Defender, reaching out to shake hands with the newcomer. "We need all the help we can get against a threat like this. I have to warn you though this could be a dangerous place to be." Even with Mitth's reassurances that the vault was a safe place, that didn't mean that something already inside couldn't kill them. Like that DNA Sample of FURBALL that's bound to be in here somewhere. "If you have any questions for me Evo just ask. If you need to call me by a short form either D16, or Def will do fine." After having the DNA scanners and other science equipment pointed out to him, Def set about the task of entering the samples that he had brought with him. After what felt like hours the scanning was complete. "There you go gentlemen, the Felis genus. With samples from eleven diffrient sub species. I couldn't get hold of any more, these are the only ones that are documented heavily enough to know what's normal. I also brought some Genus Panthera samples, y'know, big cats." He shrugged. "I don't think we'll need them though." Spotting a holographic display pad on a table nearby, Defender grabbed a long USB cable and strung it between the pad and the analysis computer. "I like hardlines." He commented, while clearing the projector plate of what looked like dust and an empty drink can before turning it on. "Now you can see here, I've compiled the genetic information from each sample intoi these wide strips. They're all compressed heavily so don't bother reading them." After hitting a few buttons on the console controlls sections of the strips being displayed above the projector turned a flourescent green. "Now you can see here, these are all of the DNA chains that are the same between all of the members of this genus. Each species has some sections that are different but they're all pritty much the same except for some almost trivial diffriences. Actually..." He stopped and scrattched at unshaven stubble while thinking. "...The Puma is not so diffrient from your average house cat. Big though... Anyways that's all in the database now. It'll only take a simple click just to compare them with the FURBALL sample." Defender turned to Mitth looking worried. "I have to ask though... Where is it. Because to be honest I do not feel safe with something like that which could be anywhere in here. Ever see that movie Outbreak? I could be like that if something was to go wrong." Defender was starting to hyperventilate now and the shaking he had been keeping under control since he entered the room was becoming visible. If a worse case scenario were to happen... Oh God. Everything started to grey out.

Uugh. So many Superweapons you'd think Kevin J Anderson was in the room with us.

...and for Luke to be his second in command who he's had frozen in Carbonite for the past fifteen years. Vader: Luke... Luke! Luke: I...I can't see... Vader: You are experiencing hibernation sickness... also your eyes are extra crispy from the Emperor Force Cooking you.

Could somone help this person please? I'm the most anti-Prequel person here.

Mad's picture is before Luke moved to sit on the other side of the room Tofu.

He has other means of gaining power. He's a very charismatic person and knows how to motivate people. Whose to say he won't become Diktat of Corellia on his own? Or implicate the existing Diktat some how and have him removed from power thus endearing himself to the Emperor while secretly ploting against him. Hmm... yeah, that seems like something he'd do. lol EDIT: Been looking throught the books again. He's very paranoid and his other attributes are about right that most Imperials would want him on their side. (Or want to be on his side.) I think we need some more people to say what they think Thracken would do.

Do you mean the Acclamator http://starwars.wikicities.com/images/thumb/4/4b/Acclamator.jpg/300px-Acclamator.jpg or the Venator? http://starwars.wikicities.com/images/thumb/7/73/300px-Imperial_Fleet.jpg

Majestic class Heavy Cruiser 3D model

Let me say that the new one totally OWNS. -
*Falls out of chair laughing* FOOCL! Classic. Does it take one, or quarter credits? Anyways, I don't think Thracken would so easily hand a secret like that over to the Emperor. He's more apt to try and bluff about how much power he has available to him. With an expanding Sith order he's going to see Palpatine as somone in the way of himself becoming more powerful. He doesn't want to be subservient to somone else. He wants to be the King of the hill. If that hill is an independant Corellian sector, all the better. But it won't be his to rule if he tells Palpatine how things work. For all Thracken knows and Emperors hand or sith would kill him after he's revealed his secrets.

I love it when I don't have to make up stuff like that. rofl (Nice Avatar btw Tofu.)

Let me just state my top 3; Obi Wan, Palpatine, Darth Maul, (Sorry Windu) And that everyone else sucked for the most part in the Prequel movies. Both actors that played Anakin in the prequels especially. Christopher Lee is used to getting poor roles so he can take it. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000489/

You're right, lots of if's. The only person in the Expanded universe known to be able to control the systems of Centerpoint Station and the planetery repulsors (Reliably) was Anakin Solo. Whom George Lucas killed off. (Good job on that one GL again. ) Sacorrian Triad did figure out how to control the station but after Anakin interfaced with the system it imprinted on him. (Argh... now I'm going to have to read the Corellian Trilogy again. I didn't want to have to. ) Really, Centerpoint's involvement would depend on there being a Corellian crisis and Starbuster plot despite Imperial rule. That would be one heck of a long campaign for the Imperials. They'ed end up having to take a fleet into Corellia at sublight. When they finally get there the interdiction field is dropped long enough for the Sacorrian fleet to arrive. Then there's all the CC-9600 and other CEC ships built in the months waiting for the Imp fleet to arrive. A big mess and the Corellian system would be turned into a mass grave even if they won. It'd be more convienient plot wise if the Sacorrian Triad just kept their heads down and bided their time waiting for some sign of weekness from the Empire... Like the Vong attacking the galaxy and rebel attacks wiping out the Holonet trancievers.

Awesome!

It's easier to target a planet which has a long, documented, and measurable orbit. A Worldship is mobile (the ones that entered the galaxy anyways) and capable of hyperspace. You could target one if you had a ship acting as a spotter equipped with a holocom system. (Provided that holonet is opperational. ) And you're right if they didn't know it was coming they'ed be toast. With any kind of warning though there could be enough screening ships and Dovin Basal Mines put in the way that all the worldship would get is a suntan. *Reads up on the galaxy gun* Holy cow! Those missiles can fight their way to a target! Even so it wouldn't get through a closely stacked minefield. EDIT: After the planet is destroyed by by a galaxy gun projectile, the Vong could still move in and use the debris of the planet to construct new Worldships and cruisers. I agree with Mitth, not much point in putting a cloaking device on the sun crusher. That just makes it harder for the driver to see. The sun takes a little bit to go nova from one of those torpedoes. Carida took atleast twenty minutes or more. Enough time to recall any starfighter forces and even some infantry in the system before widthdrawing. No point in staying to try and deal with a star death. There's an idea. But I don't think the Emperor would risk putting any Galaxy guns in orbit of Coruscant. They tend to be a kind of a one per system weapon. And we already know what happens if they get crashed into by misteak. Coruscant has too much traffic. A DS I can see. Put a DS shield on one of Coruscant's moons... Confusing orbits either way, the blasted planet has 2 moons! Sure DS shield on the planet why not. Does have the possibility of interfeering with the planet's complicated Double shields system but lets ignore that for now. You now have a super laser blocked by your capital planet and it's 2 moons. That's 3 approach corridors should they reach Coruscant. Ok so you worked out the scout ship idea like I did. Sun Crusher is a good choice for that because there is not much the Vong can do to it short of trying to suck it into a singularity. You can still have 2 galaxy guns in different systems firing away but this will lead to the vong hiding their larger ships in deep space to avoid galaxy gun shots. That is something you as the Empire do not want. You want to engage the vong fleets and wipe them out. If they hide, it's going to turn into a much larger, messier Rebellion where you have to hunt them down in deep space. I reccomend using the Galaxy gun only on planets or in large scale fleet engagements where and when thing become too mixed up for the Vong to know what hit them. Woah, slow down. World Devastators (And even the galaxy gun for that matter) were developed because the empire was losing. With the DS2 arround, development of them isn't as high a priority as it would have been. Heck Leminsk may even get vacation time now. The Devastators would still be used I think but more in the sense of a conventional mobile harvester. Resources and equipment that the onboard factories produced would be shipped out to other locations. They wouldn't be used on inhabited plantets, which all belong to the Empire (Or people who pay bribes to the Empire.) These would be the last thing a commander would want to leave exposed to enemy forces. They're too valuable as mobile production facilities to put on the front lines. Mainly they'd just be used in asteroid belts. Withought need to rush them they might enter service by 12 ABY instead of 10ABY. That's a good 13 years of steady manufacture until the Vong arrive. With all of the available refined materials that means the retirement of older ships (Like the Vic 1 and 2 like I said) and introduction of newer designs better able to fill their roles. And droid fighters, lots of droid fighters. Woo... that was a bit longer than I planned. Any ideas to help the Vong against this people? EDIT: holy... I need to start working full time on pro-rebel and vong tactics.

You could release a brightly red textured ISD 2. Maybe add a couple of burn marks in places and you have the Errant Venture.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I should have skipped all of that stuff and gone straight to; Tofu you idiot! Don't make up threads like this that will obviously lead to conflicts.

I am undecided. More accurately divided internally by this issue. Though I have grown up with a sicentific approach to the world I am not... uh... what's the word. Intelligent design is a relavent alternative theory to Darwin's theory of evolution. They both deserve to be looked into. It's just that the establishment has been banging everyone over the head with one view for neigh-on a century now. Darwin came up with a theory. He didn't know for certain that this was correct but it made the best sence with what he had studdied at the time. This was a very devout religious man that came up with this stuff. He was ridiculed for the rest of his life for trying to understand something we're still struggling with. Yes we keep finding new remains of our ancient ancestors, but lately the more we find, the larger the gap we find between Humans and our nearest relatives. It used to be widely accepted (Before DNA mapping) that humans evolved from Neandertal. Lately it's been proven that they're very different species. The major missing links between humanity and other species on Earth is turning into a barricade. No one knows 100% without a doubt for certain, that any of these theories are correct anymore. I don't think we'll know within my lifetime. I don't know what to believe. (Sorry to rant.)
