  1. Ahhh, such sweet memories
  2. As soon as I clicked the link, I said "It's the Onion! " Then I understood LLF's confusion, and saw E's post. Most Europeans and Non-Americans believe this is a legitimate publication, and not a satirical parody
  3. Load Rebellion on another computer, copy off the original models in question, and replace back into the first computer.
  4. Just a guess here, but just open the encyclopedia file directly into the HEX editor. You still have to change the to a , then SAVE the file. I might have to try this myself.
  5. I liked the "refusal of rejection" letter. Already done that Tofu (5th row, center stage); ear plugs helped prevent amplitude overload, and when the concert was over and I took them out, I could have a "normal" conversation (as opposed to my friends who had to scream at each other even though there was no need for screaming anymore) I would have really liked to have seen Queen (with Freddy), now that would have been awesome!
  6. You can only change existing names IMO. If you use ResourceHacker you can change the ship name regardless of character length (as much as ResourceHacker will allow); as long as you "compile" the changes (there's a "button" in ResourceHacker for this). You can experiment and try adding names, but some of the folder number sequences are not continuous, so it's a gamble whether those are used for something else and will/won't be read in. You can only try. When you see the names lists, certain names work with certain ship types, or groups of ship types; i.e. usually the ISD & SSD names come from the same list (provided all of the names aren't used up in the mean time). And Galleons, escort carriers, etc. also share names. When the names are "used up" that's when you get numbered ships: Galleon #1, etc.
  7. Waffles!
  8. Don't forget the DAT files! If you change any of the fighter/ship/troop/facility stats (i.e. refined materials, maintenance, attack/defense values) these are stored in the designated DAT file, so you'll need to copy them also. So it really is easier using the RebEd save files.
  9. @Xan: He's refering to the special forces mission success probability tables. It is called "TB Editor" within RebEd, on the RH side just lower than mid way. @Fyda: I don't much about this. My only suggestion is to experiment and pass on your observations.
  10. Your link didn't work Tofu , but ... You do live in a nice neighborhood, and have a beautiful house . And there's the car from your "Highway to Hell" videos! EDIT: Happy RamaHanuKwanzMas!
  11. And then there is this I want to get my hands on that!
  12. and ... OK, I'll bite ... It's nice to know Germany is the top leader in engineering technology and can do everything better than everyone else. [activating Princess Leia hologram]"Oh, help us Germany, you're our only hope"[hologram off] Satisfied? j/k Eagle; it doesn't matter what technologies are available, it depends if the power company has the funds to do it, and if it's cost effective (also you can't compare Gov't vs. private spending). At the old homestead I had problems with the phone lines, and placed a call to have service. I found out from the tech I was one of the "last" houses on the end of the circuit. There was nothing wrong with "my" internal lines, there was something wrong along the main line. So basically, it was cheaper for the phone company to send a tech to my house every time I called about the problem, than fix the actual problem. If I called everyday, it would take a 100+ years for them to break even on a new main phone line. I eventually moved and got cable for the PC .
  13. How about "Blue Harvest in Space"?
  14. Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of Grand Moff Paul Conway Just wanted all to know GMC is still "here" in spirit (especially when I play a game of Rebellion)
  15. And it continues today! Woo(t)! And it continues (again) today! Woo(t)!
  16. In the US you get letters from lawyers, everywhere else ... they shoot you (just hope they send Stormies, your chances of survival increase dramatically)
  17. And it continues today! Woo(t)!
  18. Woot off today!
  19. After reading Lucas axes fan's SW images gallery, I'm feeling abit vindictive , and after seeing a "transformer" SW item, I'm wondering if GL "paid" the right people to use their idea for his stuff to make $. Otherwise, hopefully whomever holds the "transformer" rights will sue the snot out of GL and give hime a taste of his own medicine Luca$ Art$ and Micro$ith have all turned into money grubbing scum (watch closely as GL transforms himself into Jabba). This year, my SW purchases will be fewer yet (again) as my original OT memories fade further into oblivion (and GL does nothing to keep them alive) ... Dang-nabbit, I hate rants Merry Christmas all, and may your shopping dollars spend well!
  20. It's already been done, you just have to go to What are people's 5 ESSENTIAL wants for Reb2? and read the entire thread. Repeating everything is just an exhausting waste of time. Not to be onry, but just to offer constructive criticism: What separates your remake from anyone else's? In no way am I saying not to do it, I'm just saying there are a couple of people/groups doing this, and I'm wondering why they aren't pooling their talent/resources and working together to come to an efficient conclusion. Will several different versions just "muck things up"? I don't know. Anyway, good luck on your version of Rebellion 2, and don't let the lack of response get you down (we're all still interested)
  21. Tofu, if you could get an oversized mask, you could put a "cutout" where the left ear would be (or next to it) and stick your hand out of the mask. Then get a jacket with a "fake right arm" so your body would appear "normal", except for the extra hand sticking out of your head. You could be a "mutant"; well, at least a costumed mutant
  22. Congratulations Rob & Mad! I'm done with exams too! Of course my last exam was ... uh ... umm, yeeeaars ago Enjoy your Christmas break
  23. If you want a ~good list of ships for the Starship Compendium, Wookiepedia has a list of Imperial Ships, Alliance Ships, Galactic Republic Ships, and CIS Ships. Unfortunately, the lists are not broken down into ship categories, but they do give source/reference data There is also a list of Known Fleets of the SW universe. (Wow, I actually posted in a WARLORDS forums )
  24. Then whats your definition of a galaxy? 20 sectors for the galaxy, hence 200 planets for a galaxy (as opposed to your 10 ).
