Or the spice mines of Kessel? Smashed into who knows what?
  2. Mehh, don't speak too soon. The Dark Empire books were written in the early 90's, way before the prequel trilogy.
  3. Some units simply come with other units once they are constructed, too. Think the Chinese APC in Generals - it came with 8 Red Guards. Star Destroyers will have TIE Fighters automatically built in. AT-ATs, I'm assuming, will also come with a squad of Stormtroopers.
  4. Every single Kansan is now an enemy of science.
  5. Not for cheating purposes. Just for esthetic reasons, I suppose. RTW, for example, simply had an enable/disable line in its files. "Fogofwar = true", or something like that. If you had an inkling to disable it for the world map, you'd just change "true" to "false."
  6. Is the fog of war something that can be set on or off? Or can it be edited in XML files?
  7. No, they are individual units in your fleet that you can command. They're just unsightly.
  8. No, anytime that you move ground forces into your fleets, they are represented during space battles as being in transports. That's what I would like to see modded - although I hope that having capital ships carry ground forces wouldn't screw up the role of transports in ground battles, though. Hense my compelling need to coerce an answer out of Delphi as to whether or not it can be modded. Through pain of torture. Fetch me...the soft cushion! Wait...you can't say "S-C-R-E-W"? Isn't that a tad on the Hillary Clinton side?
  9. I'd like (at least with the Imperials) -capital ships- themselves to register as transports in space battles, carrying ground forces. The transports are just unsightly. However, I'd still like transports to act exactly the same way in ground battles.
  10. Oh, right. Those. It's less of an anti-esthetic for the Rebels, I think, because their transports blend right in with their more diverse-looking fleet. We see all those transports with the Rebel fleet during the battle of Endor. Those Sentinel shuttle things just look unsightly in an Imperial fleet, for whatever reason. Probably because an Imperial fleet evokes that crisp, fascist, uniform vibe. Look at their massive, wedge-shaped capital ships. Even their support ships like Tartans, Lancers, Carracks, all maintain the same precise look. Hense my compelling need to omit them! At least for the Imps!!
  11. Road to Victory? Rock! Are you going to do something about the respawnable heroes issue in that mod, or leave it alone, out of curiosity? If you need a bored law student to do research for your project, look no further!!!
  12. Stats? Like just unit stats?
  13. Not in the least, Jug. That reminds me, besides Legacy of War, isn't it you who are creating the Empire at War 'Realism Mod' to add all technology and units IV-VI, and all that?
  14. I like the Edgar Allen Poe names. Although I can imagine it being quite sad to lose a ship with a pretty name like that...
  15. So wait...we can name individual ships, or just change the name of a particular type of ship?
  16. We already do have that. I know that the Imperials have Sentinel transports for carrying pure infantry units, and AT-AT transports for, well...heavier units like walkers. There are also Lambda shuttles for carrying heroes. Rebels only have that Medium Transport that I can think of. And I'm not sure you'd want to fool the game to think they're TIES. Why would I jeoporadize my ground forces by making their carrier as vulnerable as a a fly? Like I've said, this thread will oh-so-easily shut itself up if we just got a descriptive answer from our resident tech...
  17. If heroes respawn on the Galactic Map, then it would be only a matter of time before they came back. In that case, is there another way to outright pause the hero respawn rate rather than putting the value at 99999? Such as deleting the line altogether in XLM, or perhaps disenabling a toggleable option? Like "heroes respawn = true" to "heroes respawn = false."
  18. Well, that's modest.
  19. Hate to be such a negative Nancy, but I can't really be at ease today until we clean up our Veterans' Affairs and Veterans' Healthcare programs. A lot of people that gave their everything for us are really getting shit in return, and it's very sad. My fiance's family, among other people.
  20. For that matter, I don't know why they dont't have the SSD. Or the Lancer, Escort Carrier, Bulk Cruiser, Strike Cruiser...
  21. I'm hoping that you could mod capital ships to act as their own transports in space battles, while transports still showed up as themselves when you call down ground units.
  22. Even Star Wars Rebellion, which many take to be the extension of Lucas' canon AND EU canon...lists all Calimari Cruisers as 1200 meters. As someone said, RPG stats are moot in the face of canon.
  23. I think that (in the campaign) all the building will be done on the galactic level, and the buildings will be all pre-determined once you play on that particular ground map.
  24. Where are your (canon) references? Speculations that you make while watching the movies don't count. The only canon reference (The Star Wars Database) to Mon Calimari Cruisers' length says that they are all around 1200 meters in length. This includes Independence-class Cruisers.
  25. Similar to when a planetary defender sends his (losing) forces into a suicide mission to destroy the invader's transports during a space battle, it would probably be very profitable to destroy as many bombers as possible for the same reason: making a ground invasion of your world a living hell for the invader.
