  1. Irfanview is free and can save to almost any format http://www.irfanview.com/
  2. Right click it and hit 'properties' then 'change icon' Then click on th location you have your chosen icon. DG
  3. Does anybody know of any other sites (that aren't restricted) where you can find Rebellion ship models? Thanks DG
  4. Hmmmn not a happy cookie here
  5. Would be nice to get into the model section again. From what i read it is for SWR members only. I thought i was a SWR member, or have i been dreaming for the last 150+ posts
  6. Indeed. Lots of new members recently
  7. Looking forward to it. You need a tester or two then please shout as i would be more than willing to try this
  8. Started for you http://files.diplomats-empire.com/jade2_391.jpg Finishe the rest later.
  9. Indeed, congratulations
  10. Is the disc you have a 'bought' one or 'burned? Only it sounds like a compression save error caused by a bad copy of the game. However there are other reasons for this to happen......
  11. I set all worlds get at least X2 Gencore L1 or a Golan II station (using the TC) Initially i leave the worlds as i find them, but after the initial colonization/diplomacy burst i then set 'Sector Production Centres' where the planet with the biggest output gets 3xshipyards, 3xtraining centres & 3xproduction centres. Then in the outer rim i create mass production planets that specialize in one or other of the previous, as i find this works for me. Most of the Specialist worlds get 12+production centres etc. As for the SSD.... You bet it is The SSD's kick rebel butt!! and with the upgraded graphics look really good too
  12. Yes thanks, I always wondered how to discover them.
  13. Yes they can be altered using the Model Importer program and any of the models available to download. (These are in .rsc format) After loading the new ship graphics just find the card that goes with it (there may be more than one) and using RebEd import the new card
  14. You forgot... How do i spot them in the first place
  15. Thought of that but independent missions with the emperor and vader did not show any to be traitors....
  16. Hi I have just (a couple of days ) installed 'Protectorate The Empire Strike Back' which is a fantastic TC. However i hate the choice of starfield (sorry personal thing), is there any way to revert it back to the old one please
  17. Yes my one gripe is the background as it makes it hard to see the sectors. Looking in to how to revert it back
  18. Try this link > Total Conversions The latest one is fantastic and much credit to the guys that put it together
  19. Of course you would have to include the seemingly random failure generation into the equation as well seen as even 6 characters grouped together sometimes fail in their research. Plus if you want to remove the variance just go to the characters in RebEd and change the variance to zero. That way you know how good they are. Seems to help if you put them to 100 as well. I also set Ackbar to 150 and changed a few others too. It seemed logical that Ackbar be better as we know he has already invented a couple of ships.
  20. No shield just 2 LNR turbo laser batteries. Makes em think twice about engaging, esp. if they only have a small fleet. KABOOOM goodbye MonCal
  21. Using RebEd choose Galaxy Mapper & click on the chosen sector. in the top right you will see the info for this sector, set importance to high and make sure the 'colonized' checkmark is not visable (or neutral planets will have control). I believe that is how i did it
  22. I have a feeling that the type of facility has an 'x' factor to the equation as well. If you start with advanced facilities (like GM Conway i do this too) the research seems to take less time. Number fo facilities also seem to be in that equation as well. Maybe we are looking at : - N+[(AxB)+(CxD)] = research time Where A is the number of buildings B is the level of the building C is the number of characters D is that characters given research bonus (remebering that this is a variable according to RebEd[ie 60% + or - 60]) N is the given standard that rebellion uses for research
  23. Ahh but then seen as i never play as the rebels i really dont care if a few rebel scum perish. As my uncle once said 'Most impressive'!!!
  24. Sabotage Death Star sabotage missions and standard sabotage missions with a small team, say Solo the Wookie and 4 infiltrators. Set it so that Solo and three infiltrators are decoys and wait and see May have to play around with the decoy/agent ratio but keep the numbers of the team down and DEFINITELY no Jedi in the team!!! PS Dont try to capture Vader or the Emperor, when you finaly do a ground assault make sure you have a general amongst them and plenty of characters in the fleet. 9-10 you capture both!
