did you save the original image as a .bmp?

Nope Did exactly the same for me. i even tried going throught the file to see if i could see the error, but that didnt work either

Do you not have to reduce that down to one layer as well

I use PSP5 to start with Open your saved Rebellion picture, go to 'colors', 'save pallette'. Give it a name such as 'DiplomacyPallette' and save is to your hd. Now open the picture you want to use in rebed, resize it to the correct size, go to 'colors', 'load pallete' & then save the new picture. Then open the program Irfanview go to 'image', 'information' and set teh dpi to 28. Use Irfanview to save teh pic as a .bmp & then the pic is ready to be used in rebellion Hope that helps. Aaah found it It was 417...something or another. Works fine in the game. Just used PSP to export the pallette from the old picture and then imported it to the new image. Used Irfanview to set the DPI and then Reshack to upload it all. Working fine in game now Thanks for your help. However i am still on the lookout for a better picture!!

I left the small one alone Couldnt work out the pallette problems. so gave up in the end

I hve sorted the one i got from you for my own game. Looks fine except for the main card image. However seen as that is not important in the game it is of no concern to me Nice basic graphics though!

Looks good. Just one small thing is the blue hue round the image in normal view. Looks ike it will be fine in the game though.

Q. How do you change the default diplomacy image for the Empire as i cannot find the .bmp for it in any of the resource files. Please help!!!!

Never ever seen it happen. Might try it though see if it can.

Mines & Refineries only for me I find that if left to auto, the AI pumps out way to many troops per planet, so i always do that myself working from my 'sector capitals' back to the least important planets. DG

Check the extension it saved too. If its .JPG then alter it to lower case, or visa versa. Should work then.

Are there any replacements about for any of the ingame bmp's etc (ie imperial starship bridge)? I remember seeing some around some time ago but a search hasnt found them.
