  1. I think it might be easier to see who DOESN'T hate Tom Cruiser
  2. Nice Mad, except the last link's movie didn't work @Def: I'm going to call my kid ";" Gabriel Iglesias Some old, and crappy, cop show re-dubbed by a comedy show. I liked Episode 4 personally
  3. Those first two links are the same Mad And personally, while those iMacs look neat - unless they've been substantially re-designed, they'll bug the hell out of you. They're effectively laptops in a desktop arrangement with a big screen. The annoying design fault is that everything is on the back of the bloody things. To turn it on, the button's at the back - which is annoying in the day, and a prick at night (seriously, that's one of the biggest qualms with iMacs at uni - trying to turn them on. 90% of the time you have to turn the computer around) and ditto for the USB ports, and any other connection as well that you're use to having easy access to. The USBs on the keyboard are only USB 1, and for some reason either the USB ports or the OS won't downgrade a USB 2 device to USB 1 if plugged into them. So, at least for memory sticks, you're always plugging in the back of the thing or getting an error from OS X saying that there's not enough power for the device Oh yeah, and I wouldn't mind having some of those Macca's menus around here: Beer from Germany (ok, probably NOT a good idea ) Shrimp burgers, chicken big macs, lobster rolls and salmon dish would be tops.
  4. Good work! What's the poly count on that fella?
  5. As some may have heard, a Chinese car manufacturer is releasing several cheap cars to the world, and most countries are letting them in even though they score an average safety rating of 1 or 2 stars. Here's three reasons why NOT to buy them...or let anyone you know buy them, get a lift in them or even go near one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F06LjugtIUo&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZWy_fASSiQ&NR=1 By the way, they're going at roughly 40 mph or 64-65 kph
  6. Haha Thanks J!
  7. G'day X_boxgamer88 ... yeah, I'm going to follow Tex's lead. G'day x_88 I'm a little under the weather today, so I'll answer as best I can. First question: Gmax is a free, stripped out version of 3d Studio Max 4. One of the main things removed from Gmax is its ability to render images - this meant that the program was only capable of modelling (and maybe animate?). To get an image from Gmax you'd either have to find a free rendering engine - there are some, but none jump to mind. Or, the old faithful, screenshot button and pasting into paint or a better graphics suite (preferably something that allows JPEG compression with control - unlike Paint). From there, you'd need to host the images on some website to post them here. I, personally, use Imageshack - but feel free to use whatever you like. As for the more complicated mater of getting those blasted models into Rebellion, well I'll link you to here: Model download page There are numerous files to download there relating to modelling and importing into Rebellion. The main things to get would be the model exchange tutorial (get both version 1 and 2 ... I think you might need them both), the addendum is a modelling guide I think. Also, make sure you get the Model Importer program. They're all the first few items. Now, if memory serves me right you'll need yet another program! It's called Resource Hacker - and basically allows you (or more importantly the model importer) to edit files within Rebellion. With everything at hand, the main thing to do is to read the instructions carefully - then read them again

Congrats Mad on 7000 posts, some real, some spam and some drunk Now don't get wasted too much celebrating or you'll forget your milestone.
  9. Nothing springs to mind Def. Loosing a gig a day is quiet a lot, and I'd be a little surprised if it were due to malware. Still, I wouldn't be that surprised if it were the case either Does Vista, or your computer, have a form of "auto-backup" perhaps? I recall with the last laptop I used, I lost around 19gig of HDD space until I realised that it had been backing up the computer. Bud and E99 would probably be the most knowledgeable in this department.
  10. I didn't even know they were making a Rush Hour 3 ... in fact, were it not for this thread I probably would have never of found out. There's been no advertisment here for it As for that Vampire moive ... sounds interesting
  11. “I didn’t think you’d come along,â€
  12. Good to know...
  13. Happy bday J! !
  14. Ah, crap - sorry DR, I was referring to Jedi Academy Forgot to add that slight detail.
  15. Hmm, I havn't heard any of that on the news here ... of course, we'd be more concerned were it Antarctica

  17. I'm tempted to start playing again just to try out that cheat Tofu I always went light side, so protection and absorption all the way. Protection always allowed you to go a little crazy with your sabre attacks, take on a few more opponents etc. It was a useful thing to switch on during a pitched battle, just needed it at a high level. Absorption was a must for taking on dark forces - getting choked? Absorb it. Someone's turning you into a light bulb, absorb it. The other light side powers ... ah... hmm. That would be healing..which has its uses obviously, but only IF you survive long enough to use it. Force sense is useful...but, not overally. Speed is very nice as well - good combo with protection. Push and pull are rather obvious, however outside of single player you'll only want one - pull is actually damn good. Whip on protection, pull in the opponent and slice - then repeat. Mind tricks was another useful one, blinding your opponent. Nevertheless, I found lightside to be a lot harder than Dark - and thought they needed to be better balanced - absorption and protection were the only powers equivalent to the darkside powers, but you could only use one otherwise you'd run out of force power in a battle - so the obvious is turning on absorption. But in games against real people they'd be ready for that and wait. What was annoying was how powerful lightning, choke and drain all are and have very little disadvantage. Lightning was powerful once upgraded full, and could easily kill anyone in a few seconds. Choke disarmed people and could kill them as well, get it powerful enough and you can beat people against the wall with it, throw them off ledges etc. Drain, again, is better than healing as it kills your opponent in the process. Rage was the only "bad" one compared to the others - even then it wasn't an extremely bad power - I'd prefer force speed myself. My general feeling was lightside powers should have been more powerful in lower levels or there was a 4th unique power that was useful - something that slowed the enemy perhaps? Now the question comes to lightsaber - what's your favourite saber and style? Single blade, arcane style or staff saber? Quick, normal and strong stance? I liked the arcane style, but it was very hard to use - sometimes being extremely potent, other times a big weakness. Single saber was pretty useless once you got the choice. Staff saber was extremely easy to get kill withs, and I don't remember any real disadvantage with it - the only reason I didn't use it was because it was so easy (single player at least). Generally I'd swap between fast and normal style as to avoid leaving myself open to attack.
  18. Well yeah. Isn't that what you're supposed to do on a DS Rampage? The original plan was to just leave Coruscant but then I thought...what the hell. Took me long enough to read this .. but yikes! Destroyed your own galaxy, you'd make Tarkin proud! The worst I did was a few years back where I was playing with a friend as Imps, with our "Ass Kicker Fleet" and I forget our other colourful names. We basically went by the rule of: You Rebel, you get blown up. So, we did end up having a very broken galaxy - but never got to the Outer Rim areas or Imperial Strong holds.
  19. Curious, am I too. I'd suggest using this site: http://www.archive.org/index.php Except that it doesn't seem to have any of SWR.com in 2007 And on randomness: You try finding a parking spot these days!
  20. *sits back with popcorn in hand* Don't mind me guys, keep going - this is more entertaining than the RP! *stuffs mouth full of popcorn*
  21. It's been plastic over here since... well, since I can remember. There's also been a similar discussion over the last year or three over taxing for plastic bags. Currently, however, a most super markets have gone to bio-degradable plastic bags. Also, you can buy fabric/weave bags. They're larger and sturdier and you don't throw them away. Nice, except that you need to take them into the store too Planning required As for recycling, the obvious argument to that is that recycling often isn't a clean process and costs a crap load. Nevertheless, it's better than leaving it on the street Over all, I'm still in the boat of the robust fabric weaves. Take them, if you haven't got enough on you (which is more likely than not) plastic bag it up. Recycle or re-use the bag, plastic bags have 101 uses! Like carrying other things ... and ... ah ... umm ... hmmm ... the only other two I can think of aren't nice Chroming and suicide
  22. You didn't! Haha, I'll have to try something equally lame next time someone gets "clingy" @Tofu: I got Demon Wings with gargoyle and dragon close... seriously, they have something against heavy metal One man band
  23. Wait ... he said his wife divorced him AND his girl friend wants to move? Ahh .. righto, wonder why he got divorced Seriously though, what a wank stain. Good luck with your new apartment and with any vengeance that may be in the works
  24. You need to post?!? I'm like a post or two behind you guys! *shakes fist at the heavens* Damn you uni!
