They'd had excellent simulation scores still, simulators could not replace reality. The Star Destroyer's captain stood and smiled, his name was Gordon Verlin, "Welcome pilots recent intelligence has indicated that a rebel starfighter carrying an important person is scheduled to pass through the Vega IV system in a few minutes for an important rendevous." Major Baumer felt hsi gut contract with surprise and fear, "So this is a strike mission sir?" "Yes, your squadron will be dropped off in the Vega IV Asteroid belt and await there for this meeting, any questions? dismissed." * * * "Remind me never to fly in an asteroid belt again," Alpha lead spoke slowly into the comm link. "I agree lead, I'm getting tired of dodging rocks," That was Lieutenant Lara Jules, one of the three survivors from the last mission. "Thanks Six," Kirk Baumer replied. Suddenly a ship appeared on his scope, but it wasn't a x-wing let alone a y-wing. "Six to lead, one Kuat Delta Seven Aethersprite on my scope," The woman's vocie paused uncertain, "Is that it?" "I don't know, keep your eyes open six," Major Baumer replied his voice tense, "Weren't those what the Jedi used to fly as starfighters?" "Roger that lead, thats exactly the last place I've heard of them being used," Lara's voice was no longer plain, fear was obviously trickling into her voice. "Nine to lead, I've got a corellian corvette entering the system, one flight of x-wings as escort, requesting orders?" "Alert the Serpent's bite, it seems are target is larger then anticipated!" OOC: I now hand off to 44 and kenobi, just don't murder all my pilots again...

OOC: That is assuming Trej will join us... IC:Stellar slumped back in his seat his eyes focused on the spiraling tunnel of hyperspace, it had indeed been a long jump. With a flash the stars became star lines and the red glow of gas being sucked into the maw dominated the forward view port. Stretching out with his mind he could sense the dwindling battle over Kessel hundreds of thousands of kilometers away. In front of the squadron of Raporan fighters space rippled as the enormous shape of a Raporan war cruiser rippled into existance before them. Stellar's comm link crackled as the cruiser's commander came through the channel, "You're clear for hanger bay two, mission briefing immediately following Major." The Raporan craft banked into the small hanger and as the last of them entered the hanger the craft rippled again and disappeared into the blackness of space. A few minutes later Stellar waited in the briefing room as the Raporan commander commenced his briefing, "As you know elements of the second fleet are active in this region. Recent intelligence has revealed a base code named shelter in the center fo the maw. Your squadron will launch a strafing run on the base. We think the second fleet will have several ships in the maw to act in reserve, destroy them if possible." The raporan commander hissed as he moved on, "We believe there to be several Jedi at this facility, if you become heavily engaged break off and retreat back to the cruiser. It is far to early in this to actually fight the Jedi head on. We must sow confusion." OOC: I haven't launched the attack yet, just so thats clear.

The XJ designation has been rumored to mean Jedi Knight. At the start of Vector Prime its basically just Kyp's Dozen and the Jedi that have the XJ model.

IC: The Alliance craft contiued along their paths ignorant of the debris. Stellar felt his chest ease as he watched the raft go, his unit wasn't ready for an attack against Jedi, let alone Jedi of this magnitude. With a flicker of pseudomotion the craft jumper out fo the system. Seconds after they left a flash message chorused through his head phones, "Rapora Wing Twelve is ordered to sector fifty one twelve and prepare for transit into the maw." Stellar stiffened as he heard those words he glanced down at the exit vectors for the ships, they were a direct line to the Maw. With a sigh Stellar keyed his comm, "Transmitting new orders set course for sector one twelve." Stellar slumped in his seat as he glanced at the two blackened hulks that had been GFFA freighters, "We're done here." EDIT: OOC: Crud I just realized Conturuum is on the Perlmain route not the th Hydian way...duh. Go ahead and smack the Vong around, they deserve it over kessel. It would be a long jump from Contruum to Kessel.

Stellar slowly glanced out the curved cockpit of his starfighter at the burning hulk of the trio of freigthers, it hadn't taken much to destroy them. With a flicker fo pseudomotion a trio of ships dropped into the system, their hulls glinting in the distant sunlight. The holographic display before him began to light up with the identifications of the vessels scrolling in front of the glass. His targeting computer already computing the vectors ofthe incoming ships. Stelalr risked a glance at the display and hissed, the modified freighter Jade Shadow, Imperial Star Destroyer Glorious Life, and the Lancer Frigate Whip Hand. Stellar swore as he glanced at the hulks, "Squadron, power down all systems make speed equal to debris, and await further instructions, meld communications only." With a mental sigh Stellar reached out with his mind and touched the others absorbing their thoughts and situation. The itch for combat swam through the group. Stellar reassured them, soon the hunt would begin again. OOC: Great...an opportunity for battle. Remember there are some rather important Jedi involved...

I find the Irony in the lastest news fromt he front quite humorous... The Empire built a Death Star... and with a fleet fo four Star Destroyers and a Carrack blockade the Ando system. I send Task Force Solo Star to destroy them... The Fleet jumps in and launches its attack destroying the death star and a Victory star destroyer... I lose the Imperial II Star Destroyer Rejuvenator. Whats funny about this? I'd captured Bevel Lemkis and he was on the Rejuvenator. The Death Star destroyed the Rejuvenator with its first shot, killing Bevel. He just got killed by his own superweapon!!! In other news, its day 470 or so and the Empire has deployed over 10 Super Star Destroyers... Its getting thick out there.

I plan on spliting my time between SW vs ST, SM, and the Rapora stuff... So another episode... Luke smiled as he dropped down behind the pilot’s console and fired up the ion drive. Major Baumer swore as his last three starfighters formed up on his wings. It had taken mere seconds for his force to be decimated by the rebels. On hsi rear sensors he could see the rebel starfighters swarming toward their carrier as several of the freighters moved to follow the carrier. His comm board lit up as a wing commander's voice crackled through the comm, "Alpha lead return tot he engagement." "Negative control, we're all alone out here." "Do as you're told Major!," The commander's vocie was fierce and angry. Kirk swore, "Roger control, we'll form up with the next wave." He hauled the Tie fighter over and dropped into formation behind them. In the distance the Rebel Carrier's weapons flared. In front of him one of the Tie fighters exploded as the blast fo Turbolaser fire caught it through the cockpit. Through the cloud of debris Kirk saw the green flash of the Star Destroyer's turbolasers as they arched through space toward the Quasar Fire Class Carrier. With a flicker of pseudomotion the craft flashed into hyperspace followed by the ion trails of dozens of starfighters and freighters. Major Baumer slumped in hsi seat clearly tired fromt he engagement, "Control, requesting orders..." "All ships return to base, this engagement is over." OOC: Thanks Darkie, there go a score of starfighters... now I've got to train up their replacements. I believe thsi is a proper response to what you posted.

OOC: Glad to see someone join, especially darkie. IC: The Word spread like wildfire through the ranks of the Rapoa, orders were already pouring in from headquarters, secret units moving from location to location, but to Stellar Magic these facts were just background information, the orders he had recieved made the true reality of the events that loomed before them certain. Stellar's clawed hands stroke the datapad that was before him his reptilian eyes scanning its words and instructions. His squadron would launch the first major strike against the Alliance, a strike that would almost certainly awake them to the new danger they faced. A strike that would occur right under their nose. Slowly Stellar reread what was before him: Engage and eliminate the Light Calamari Cruiser New Cov as she joins with the New Republic fleet over conturuum. With a sigh Stellar tucked the datapad back into its place as he turned toward the rest of his squadron, "Our war of redemption begins today. To your ships." He could only smile at the look the GFFA sensor operators would have as they arrived, they were after all the unknown foe that had plagued the Unknown Regions for centuries and still remained outside of the GFFA's understanding and knowledge. A smile crossed his face, perhaps they'll think us Vong, yes that would be most interesting.

Okay this debate really amounts to fleets and how ships are spread out in the star wars universe. 250,000 Imperial Star Destroyers means 250,000 Star Destroyers spread out out over hundreds of sectors and thousands upon thousands of systems. I've read some statistics that point out that only around 5% of the imperial fleet was actively engaged in anti-rebel operations. This means that only five percent of that fleet were involved in Combat Operations. That leaves 50,000 Imperial Star Destroyers to pursue rebel ships in probably five hundred or more sector fleets. The rest of those ships would be handling anything from customs to piracy, to basic mapping missions and even passenger transport. Many of the Star Destroyer Captains that were loyal to the Empire until the fall of Coruscant had no interest in fighting the rebellion and defected. They thought of themselves as peacekeepers not conquers. So when Coruscant changed hands around 150,000 Star Destroyer Captains had to make a choice between the empire, a warlord, or the rebellion. There is how allot of the Combat Power fo the Empire was destroyed. With the unifying force...5,000 ships amassed at one point for one strike is an enormous amount of combat power. But you have to realize there had to be thousands upon thousands of other ships scattered throughout vong space to actually maintain control of that space. There probably were perhaps as many as over a million ships in the total Vong Invasion Force. The scope of a Galactic conquest is still very hard to imagine.

As he sealed the hatch he called across the commlink, "This is Major Baumer of 607th requesting launch and callsign assignment begining preflight checklist now." "Negative on preflight Major Baumer, we're in hot callsign is Alpha lead. Target rebel starfighters raiding the convoy, concentrate on those that are threatening the freighters." "Roger control, ready for launch," he answered. Suddenly below him the double space doors hissed open to reveal the dazzling lights of a battle in full swing.

He could smell the scent of their fear, taste the anticipation, the tension. Before him he could see the black clothed figure of Lord Draken his tail swoshing through the air as he paced back and forth. He stoped suddenly and turned tot eh center of the room as the holoprojectors hummed there activation. As the black clad figure flickered to life every Rapora dropped to one knee, his hands grasping their armored chests. Lord Sidious stood a ghostly smile playing across his face on the holographic image, "It is time that we strike back on those who have oppressed us for the last thousand years, to strike upon the Jeedai and their fledgling Federation of Free Alliances. Go to your squadrons and tell them what you have seen and been told."

Chiss Ascendancy-Rulers of the you know glowing eyes blue skin. Unique weaponary and warrior code of honor. Imperial Remnant-You either hate them or love them. Empire of the Hand-Grand Admiral Thrawn's personal Empire in the Unknown regions. Sith Order-Duh Jedi Order-Duh Yuuzhan Vong-Trej you can be yourself... I cut the cost for a Death Star to 250/200. I also made it so all sectors are high value and colonized... It makes the game start with a bang An Imperial attempt to take my capital has been thwarted. A small fleet of imperials (1 VSD and transports. ) Got stomped by the New Republic home defense fleet (6 MC80s 2 Home Ones and support ships). Take that... The Hand of Thrawn event just occured...Luke's off meditating in some cave But I've still got Jade, get em tiger...

Imperial folly over Yavin. Yavin is attracting a lot of attention, but of course it is... Yavin's got Luke, Mara, Han, Jacen, Jaina, and now even Anakin on the world. Fortunately for the New Republic new ships have been streaming off the production lines. I've station a massive fleet...well not so massive, force over Yavin and intelligence warns me of an Imperial attack. Narra got demoted to commander, and is station on Task Force Solo Star over Yavin. Admiral Tallon is in overal command. The New Republic Task Force Solo Star around day 120 2 Imperial II Star Destroyers (Solo Star is one of them) 3 Nebulon B Frigates 6 Corellian Corvettes 2 Assault Frigates Fully loaded with starfighters 1/2 X-wings 1/2 E-wings The Imperial Attack Force: 1 Imperial Star Destroyer 3 Victory Star Destroyers 4 Modern Action Transports 1 Carrack Cruiser 2 Nebulon B Frigates All loaded with Tie Interceptors with shields The fight wasn't over quickly but came out to be a definite New Republic victory...though the Empire was wise enough to withdraw before things became really ugly. Total Imperial Losses: 2 Nebulon B Frigates destroyed by E-wings All Imperial starfighters destroyed. 1 Carrack Cruiser disabled and scuttled by the empire in the withdraw. Total Rebel Losses: Only three starfighter squadrons survived...All E-wings 1 Impstar lightly damaged. 1 Corvette lightly damaged. The Sumitra sector has since been secured except for the occasional hit and run. Surprising the AI has been using Carracks and Nebulon Bs in tandem for those attacks. On another note its day 375 and the AI has finished construction of a Death Star over Vagran.

Harry Potter was a good idea...that went wrong. Thats why my ultimate goal in life is to replace it with a creation of my own...which eliminates allot of the complaints I just read. Stellar Magic...the series I'm working on is much more violent then Harry Potter is or ever will be. My earliest draft for the second installment in the series had a battle that made the Siege of Helm's Deep seem dull. Maybe when Cain's done reading what I sent him you could ask him about it. Actually in violence levels I can do a simple comparison... Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone 1 Death the bad guy... A couple injuries... A dog, a chess match, and a wizards battle Stellar Magic: The Merlin Academy No major deaths, some tertiary character deaths... 1 Major life threatening injury... Space Battles: 2 Dogfights: 1 Firefights: 3 Swordfights: (Several Practice fights) 2 Sniper Attacks: 2 Chase Sequence: 1 Imagine all that in around 300 pages...sounds like a star wars novel I like Harry Potter as a series of young adult novels, and the plotting in the newest book is really good, but the movies are as usual far less then the books. If it becomes a full scale war I'll probably enjoy it more, but I doubt that will happen.

Darth Vader has been replaced by Lord Draken, a Rapora operative thats worked with Sidious for over fifty years and leads the Raporan fleet. Jacen, Anakin, and Jaina Solo are recruitable on the rebel side, but their abilities are poor to reflect their lack of experience. Event Changes: Luke goes to Dagobah is now the Hand of Thrawn incident, Luke and Mara are married and Luke tries to come to grips with how he's dabbled in the Dark Side.
