Yeah I've seen a couple attacks by psycho kitty Z**t...they're hilarious. Thumper I haven't gone onto those Fan boards, perhaps I will but right now I'm concentrating on a different universe...my own On with cats...they are evil
-
Well I like how Boba turns out at the end of the New Jedi order, say that old question of evil or not is finally laid to rest. He's not evil

Impressive, most impressive, but you are not a Jedi yet

Um... What dialogue?

PTESB Version 2.3 [Improved AI Agresion Complex]
Stellar_Magic replied to Cain's topic in General Discussion
I've been trying to get the AI to use some ships in historical amounts... Lost fo Corvettes, A few less Carracks.... Its really been alot of trial and error but I think I'm almost there. -
I wonder what he thinks of the Skywalkers and Solos...TF have you asked him that? That might be quite a story

Star Wars vs. Star Trek [Ship Size Contest]

I thought you mean Medical Doctor...thats what most people think when you say MD. -
40s. I played a game where the AI put every ship it had over coruscant and I attacked it...oops. 273 - 89 (Empire - Rebellion) That game was just plain weird.

Holy ****!!!! Tierfon was a small ship building facility (1 shipyard) and I'd have a cluster of ships there waiting for an assignment when what drops in but an imperial fleet. The AI has officially fallen in love...with interdictor cruisers! Not one or two Interdictors but Eight! The Fleet consisted of: 1 Imperial II ~2 Tie Defender ~1 Tie Bomber 3 Carrack Cruisers 8 Interdictors 7 Corellian Corvettes To combat this all I had was a hodgepodge of forces: 1 Assault Frigate 1 Rendili Dreadnaught 1 Maraudar Corvette 3 Corellian Gunships Tierfon ~2 X-wing Squadrons My small force was just pulverized! I shall get my revenge for their strike...Let me at em! -

Nah, I just finished construction on a massive ship buidling complex in the Churba Sector, new forces are pouring onto the field If I go back to launching hit in fades I should be able to slow down the Empire enough to give me breathing space. Then this will be a real struggle. -
The two A-wings flew under the shield to deliver their attack, a Capital Ship wouldn't have that opportunity. They fired Eight concussion missiles into the Shield Generator more then enough to destroy it.
-
Unfortunately I haven't seen it.
-
Well they just lost internal sensors...which means they can't transport him cause they can't get a lock. Before that they really don't have any idea what they're dealing with. Most of the weapons the Security guards are using are Pulse Phasers which follow the same basic prinicple as blasters. They fire a burst of phased accelerated particles which is almost identical to a blaster bolt. Basically a Pulse Phaser Rifle and a blaster are nearly identical in abilities and nature. If they used a hand phaser which fires a stream of excitted particles from a laser emitter the result would be much different. Fried Rapora!!!

Day 452 Fakir Sector I've been forced to abandon all the worlds in the Fakir sector except for Rallitar. Its hard to believ that only a hundred days previously the sector was completely mine. I deployed that cruiser task force. Task Force Defiance. Well I drop into the Palanhi system in an attempt to cease control of the shipyards there. When I arrive there is no defense fleet or ties there!!! I launch a sabotage mission to knock down the shields when one day after I arrive the Empire drops in with the largest force I've seen them deploy yet! The Imperial Force: 1 Interdictor Cruiser 4 Victory II Star Destroyers 3 Imperial II Star Destroyers 10 Corellian Corvettes 2 Rendili Dreadnaughts 1 Lancer Frigate Completely loaded with TIE Bombers... Against that I had the following 1 Home One Class Cruiser 1 MC40 Class Cruiser 1 Nebulon B Frigate 1 Corellian Corvette 1 Corellian Gunship 3 Medium Transports Total Strength Squadron: 5 X-wings 4 Y-wings 4 A-wings So I send the Y-wings after the Interdictor and everything else after the Imperial fighters. Only three rebel ships escaped, A corvette, a Nebulon B, and a Medium Transport along with a lone A-wing squadron. My only conclusion was that the AI got extremely lucky by having a strike fleet one day away from arriving at Palanhi. This fight reminded me of Bilbringi in the Thrawn trilogy, if it'd been played out completely. Ouch there went half the Rebels Crusiers -
Nah...same problem as the SSD it has, blow up the bridge. Sure it has alot more Shiedl Generators then the SSD, thats just that many more targets.

Here's the next episode. Luke walked along the dim corridor his hand out with the Phaser pointed down the hall. The Security detail carried Pulse Phaser Rifles, their stance showing both tension and fear. A clattering sound came from down the hall as Tuvok keyed a key pad on a panel which turned over to reveal a menagerie of small arms, all phasers. Tuvok picked up one of the rifles flipped a switch powering it up and tossed it to Luke. He turned to two other members of the security detail and handed them two Phaser Rifles, “Take these to Skywalker’s quarters the escapee may try to attack them.” Luke smiled faintly at the Vulcan, “Thank you.” Tuvok arched an eyebrow, “Logically the escapee probably wouldn’t try such a thing, but we must plan for all contingencies.” * * * Captain Janeway was crouched over Seven of Nine as they isolated the readings on internal sensors that had to be the intruder. Seven glanced up before punching the last string of commands, “There we should be able to track it now.” “On screen,” Janeway ordered and a schematic of voyager appeared with the escapee represented as a glowing red dot that moved across the schematic. Suddenly there seemed to be an energy discharge in the hall and the contact leapt up a deck. Janeway frowned at the image, “What the hell, Tuvok he’s on Deck four!” * * * Tuvok tapped his comm badge, “Understood.” “What deck are we on?” Luke asked slowly. He felt a slight tingling sensation across his neck. “We’re on deck two, the arsenal should be just down this hall,” Tuvok answered as he led them further down the hall. Luke followed right behind them as they came to the end of the hall. Luke saw one of the doors had the burn scar of a lightsaber cut across its center. The security team sent a pair of people into the room to investigate. One came out a moment later his hand over his mouth as he frantically bit back gagging, “They’re dead, all of them.” Luke stepped through the reamed door and stepped over the body of a security guard who seemed unhurt until he saw the man’s neck, it had been cut clean off not with a lightsaber but what appeared to be from a knife or even a claw. Another guard sat in the chair nearby leaning over but his stomach had been opened up revealing entrails that spill over the chair. Blood was everywhere, spattered on the walls and drenching the floor. The side of the cell had been sliced with a lightsaber and a third guard lay there his body pierced by the energy blade in the thigh a wound that wouldn’t have been mortal. A second cut was across his neck by the Rapora’s killing claw. This spilled blood all across the floor. All the guards were dead. As Luke stepped back out of the room shocked by what he’d seen. He’d fought deadly foes but the savagery of the slaughter in that room took him aback. He looked at the Vulcan as he entered from the next door room and handed him a pair of lightsabers and two blasters, Mara’s sidearm and sleeve blaster. Luke took his saber and clipped it to his belt then took the other weapons and attached them to his belt as best he could. * * * Janeway watched as the pulsing dot crossed the deck and headed for the turbolift shaft. She turned to Paris, “Turbolift is locked down right?” “Yes Captain,” He replied then added somberly, “Lets hope, it can’t climb down the shaft.” The red dot appeared to enter the shaft then plummeted, but its speed was much to slow for a free fall. The dot stopped at the second deck and Janeway’s gut went cold, “Tuvok he just went down the turbolift shaft. He’d on your deck.” * * * Tuvok turned toward the turbolift shaft as a red glow shot through the doors. The doors snapped open as the lightsaber sliced through their center. Beyond the creature stalked into the corridor its lightsaber on and its pose ready. Luke grabbed his saber from his belt and activated it sending the hum of its presence down the hall. Luke turned to Tuvok and yelled, “Hang back and fire whenever you’ve got an opening.” The Rapora sped toward Luke its blade fully extended. Luke rolled under the strike as Tuvok and the guards opened fire delivering a stream of pulse phaser shots. The Rapora leapt back and twirled through the air evading the volley and catching the top rail of ceiling in its hands. With a snarl the creature sliced a hole and was gone up through the ceiling. Luke picked up his comm link, “He just went up a level.” * * * Mara took the pulse phaser from the guard and checked its charge. The hiss of metal boiling away from a lightsaber caught her ear. She turned to look down the corridor in time to see one of the panels drop open and a red blade emerge. Mara smacked the emergency lock of door and dropped back inside the cabin. She grabbed Ben and held him close as the repetitive sound of pulse phaser fire sounded through the door. She glanced up as the door began to glow and she readied the Pulse Phaser rifle. With a mental screech of anguish she called out to Luke, where are you! Luke returned her mental distress call, I’m on my way. Then the doors snapped open. Mara saw the Rapora standing in the door but it didn’t advance it just stood there. It cocked its head at Made and through the darkness Mara saw the glint of its gleaming white teeth as it snarled, “Jade…I’m told to leave you alone, as are all Rapora, until we meet again.” The Rapora backed away from the doors and bowed then sprinted away its long tail flicking at the panels as it ran. A moment later Luke stepped through the door, his saber out, he stopped as he saw Mara clutching Ben to her. She spoke her voice soft, “It let us be…” Luke felt his stomach tightened, “It did?” He sighed, “I’m sorry Mara.” He took her saber from his belt and her pistols and set them on the counter. In the dim light Luke could see Mara flushed with embarrassment, fear, and fright. In all his life Luke had seen Mara go through many troubles but what had just happened seemed to have shaken her more then the assembled force of armies. A brutal, savage enemy had held her in the palm of his hand and let her go because of some order it had received. Luke knelt down next to her and held her close as she gave a stifled cry, “He had me and Ben, defenseless and let us go, why? Why do I feel like this, used by a foe I don’t even know?” The truth was the foe was not new nor was it one unfamiliar to them, they had thought him dead, but death could never truly claim him, he was the force and there was no death, only the force. * * * Janeway cursed at the screen, “Security teams to the bridge, we’ll hunt this thing down!” She turned to ensigns Kim and Seven of Nine, “Lock down all critical systems and lock out the main computer.” “Done,” Seven answered as she stood and drew her hand phaser, “I’ll start on Deck Twelve.” “Good, Ensign Kim, take deck eleven, I’ll take deck ten. Send security teams to all vital areas, life support, engineering, power relays, any place that sabotage could endanger the ship,” Janeway turned to Chekotay, “Watch that screen and tell us where that thing is!” Janeway took a phaser rifle in her hands then dropped down the access shaft to the next floor. As they walked the remaining lights went down and Janeway tapped her comm badge, “Chekotay report.” “Sorry Captain, Main power is offline. He must have cut one of the power conduits.” Chekotay’s voice began to show an edge of fear, “Internal sensors are offline.” Janeway keyed the light on the top of the Phaser rifle and stepped through the darkness alert for any foes. A pair of security men flanked her, their weapons also raised pointing down the halls. Suddenly from above two clawed feet reached out and sliced into the security men. They were yanked backward and flung into a group of their fellows. Janeway rolled forward as the snap hiss of a lightsaber activating echoed in the hall. Janeway saw the creature now a terrify reptile that looked like something from the ancient days of earth stood above the burnt carpet where she’d once stood. It reached its hand back and suddenly two of the Phaser rifles leapt from the hands of their owners and nestled themselves into the creatures grasp. The creature turned and fired a blazing volley that drilled into the security team. Their gold shirts lay scorched from the volley of fire. Then Janeway felt eh two phaser rifles drop to the floor as the creature leapt upward and ran its claws gripped to the ceiling. Janeway lifted the rifle and fired a burst that missed its target as the creature scrambled away at shocking speed. Slowly she felt her cheek where a cut had been dealt to her and saw that her pant leg was sliced open. Blood slowly covered the leg as Janeway tapped her comm badge, “Medical Teams to deck ten.” Those Rapora are really deadly

We'll find out soon enough...I've got a cruiser group in the final stages of construction, if there is a surge in Star destroyer production after an engagement I'll be right. Somehow I doubt it. It could be simply based on combat power, the Nebula B has alot of power for a ship its size. In my mod anyway. -

I think its designed so that it builds whats best against whatever did the most damage to the enemy in the last battle. If I make a strike against it with Cruisers thats successful they'll build larger vessels like Star Destroyers. Thats how I'd design the AI. Maybe the AI is just getting lucky -

True...well darn, the blasted Ai figured out a counter. They've begun building Nebula Bs and Lancer frigates like crazy. I just lost a couple squadrons of fighters to an attack from them...Stupid Nebulas. A Nebula and 2 Lancers appeared over one of my worlds and I've got a pair of Y-wing squadrons, and an X-wing squadron on station. Those blasted lancers are death to y-wings. My x-wings got pounded by the nebula's fighters...arrggghhh. -

Its the AI, it keeps assemlbling fleets with a bunch of smaller vessels, and one or two real combat ships to guard the other ships. (I made the Corvette able to carry to regiments and the Bulk Freighter 6) I keep hoping the AI will build a SSD, but it hasn't even though it doesn't cost much for a ship of that power. Maybe the AI is just going to build one and stick it over Coruscant, I saw that once, kind of annoying actually. -

Day 232 Playing as the Alliance Recent intelligence suggest an Imperial convoy under escort has entered orbit over the system of Delaya. Carrier Group Quasar Fire has been sent to destroy the force. Quasar Fire Class Carrier: Quasar Fire (The vessel is the first of its type) ~3 X-wing Squadrons ~3 Y-wing Squadrons Corellian Gunship: Lance II Corellian Gunship: Lance III Corellian Gunship: Lance IV Medium Transport: ATS-001 Medium Transport: ATS-011 Medium Transport: ATS-012 The ships drop in and find the convoy under the watchful eye of an Imperial II Star Destroyer Imperial Convoy: Imperial II Star Destroyer: Iaptous ~2 Tie Fighters ~2 Tie Bombers Carrack Cruiser: Gorgon 4 Bulk Freighters 1 Star Gaelleon 6 Corellain Corvettes So the engagement begins... The Result: Alliance losses: 1 Y-wing Squadron Imperial losses: Everything but 4 Bulk Freighters...Ouch! How is that possible: The Imperials made a mistake by not loading the Imperial II with a full compliment of Ties. Once they were dealt with the Y-wings and X-wings began to massacre the Imperial Capital Ships and the the Corellian Gunships did a number on the Imperial Corvettes. The First Capital ship to fall was the Imperial II Star Destroyer: It didn't take long to whittle the ship's shields down to nothing then take a massive hunk out of her hull from a single volley of torpedoes. The Imperials didn't stand a chance. -

Well I've just been doing some tweaking with the build costs and offensive fire power. I'm going to keep tweaking until I get the AI to work like I want.
