  1. You could do any or all of the above. If you plan on playing as the Rebellion, though, don't build Death Stars. If you do, the Imperials just get to control them in combat.
  2. Can't figure the bloody thing out. I see the drop-box that brings up the list for the avatars on SWR, but not too sure how to "upload" one of my choice.
  3. Which series was that, Talse of the Bounty Hunters or the Bounty Hunter Wars? I wasn't too impressed with the former but I didn't mind the latter.
  4. I'm about half way through it. I must admit, for a Zahn novel I though I'd get more for my money.
  5. I keep hearing about that TC, but I've been gone for so long it's completely new to me. That's the one that makes the AI more difficult right? I'll have to take a look. I've recently gotten the urge to play SWR but unless I can find some ship models I like, it may be a short-lived revival.
  6. Say no more! AAAAAH! I've just started reading Survivors Quest and want to be surprised. (I only read the first part of that post anyways). As for Thrawn being back, I'm not so sure. Since the novel takes place before the NJO, one would expect that Thrawn would have somehow been written into the NJO series (I know, SQ came out after NJO was finished, the writers talk to one-another).
  7. I'm not too sure that adding the Vong would improve the game that much. I'm keeping an eye on Imperial Assault, the mod for C&C Generals. Though a little bit off topic. I'm having some trouble with my avatar. I think the site I had it on was removed from the server and now i can't change it to another site.
  8. Survivors Quest, that's the new one right? I actually haven't had time to read it... I think I'll grab it on my way to work today. I was literally heart-broken when I read the end of The Last Command. Thrawn was by-far my fav character (but you alread knew that). If he is indeed back, I will be overjoyed!
  9. It's rather difficult to determin what Thrawn's goal was. In the Heir series he seemed to want to re-establish the Empire. Once you get to the Vision series we see what was going on in the background and it does look as though he was preparing for something. We also learn that the Chiss have been holding back an enemy alien force, though whether it is the Vong or the Ssi-Ruk(sp?) is up to debate. I must admit that the idea that Thrawn only wanted peace is a little off though. Remember, he was cast out of his own home for being too brutal in combat (I can't remember if it was an uprising of some sort. It's been a while since I've read the early books). All I know is that I have hopes that the clone Luke and Mara found some how survived and will come into whatever new series is in store for us.
  10. Perhaps there is wisdom in that. There isn't the same problem with drugs in Europe as there is in North America. Maybe that's because the laws here are too strict?
  11. He comes in for a close second with me.
  12. Aye, and that's what made him weak. he was also over confident. Who goes running at a Jedi with naught but two blasters and some nice armor?
  13. I'm looking forward to your release of this. From your updates the games sounds like it is much more difficult than before. I must admit I'm concerned about Thrawn's defection though...
  14. There are some ST cards up for download, but I think most TC makers have been avoiding the ST universe. Other than that, there isn't a TC.
  15. I didn't know there was much difference really. I knew there was the whole "Colombian crack is the best, adn so is the weed" but other than that I'm clueless. I also didn't know there was Swiss hash. Is it chocolate coated?
  16. I first found the RebEd community shortly after v 0.21 or so. After I began making cards the Card Clan... I think that was the name... came about and the community focussed there. The Card Clan(?) eventually became SWR.com. After going MIA (twice) I have returned, hopefully to stay. As for my fav Bounty Hunter, Boba. Jango wasn't cold enough for me.
  17. Sorry about the double post, but I have apparently fixed the problem. The version of the mod that I was using came in RAR format (to un-pack that is) and for some reason randomly chose not to display the close-in skins (by random I mean sometimes the TIE Fighters would be skinned, sometimes not). I got the version my friend is using, which comes in a zip files with the shortcuts (mine didn't have those) amd it seems to work well.
  18. I hadn't actually thought about the Hand. It wasn't the same thing as the Chiss Empire. It was created by Thrawn shortly after his Promotion to Grand Admiral, and his subsiquent banishment to the outer rim. Because he was also banished from the Chiss empire, this could dispell any link between the two. I agree that Zahn created some of the best characters, though I feel that most writers didn't write them as well. Palleon seemed to change when they moved into the NJO series. He became more like the old Imperial officers, somthing I didn't feel was in him in any of the Zahn novels. He was also darker.
  19. I'm personally not impressed with some of the SW games out there. Games like Dark Forces and the Jedi Knight games were great, as were XvT anf X-Wing Alliance. This said, while Nights of the Old Republic was entertaining for the first bit, it felt lacking in something. I personaly enjoy Rebellion mor than Galactic Battlegrounds. I thing GB was little more than a glorified MOD. I think that, of late, LucasArts has grown too confident and think that the Star Wars name will carry thier games without much effort. I'm looking forward to Republic commando but I hope the hype over it will prove more true than that for Force Commander or Galaxies; An Empire Divided.
  20. First off, congrats on your honourable mention in PC gamer, as well as the greatness of this mod. I am, however, having a slight glitch. The close-up textures for my imperial ships are randomly not showing. Some of my ships have no textures at times, but do on others. Sometimes they are half textured. Not sure if this is common or just me. Again, congrats evil!
  21. I would choose a different game than GB to mix with Rebellion. It was Age of Empires/Kings with SW units. The sectors should be re-arranged to accurately reflect the NJO books. Perhaps even additional factions likePirates, smugglers, the Hutts, Vong, Bothans, or the Hapans.
  22. http://pub40.ezboard.com/fstarwarsrebellionfrm10 Though I saw it somewhere. I don't meen to keep going back but that is when it was prevalent.
  23. Back when we (the members of the SWRebellion forums) were approached by an outsider who offered to make a second Rebellion, or rather said he was in the process of doing so, he also said that he had approached Lucasarts in an attempt to gain the source code for Rebelion. Wheather or not this is true remains to be seen. I think that because the game did not sell tha well, almost on the level of Force Commander, LA is a little embarassed about the game. Approaching them probably won't make muc hof an impact
  24. If there were anyone who could make changes to RebEd I think Igor would be it. When las I spoke with him, oh so long ago, he was rather knowledgable in programming. And unless someone else here could do it, and if so PLEASE speak up, we may have to attempt to trake down Rev.
