Well I'm still tinkering with the savegames and have to try out Hasting's method for locating the planets, but in theory it should work to give Coruscant to the Alliance and place the Empire somewhere else, like Yaga Minor. We should also consider changing the names of some planets, so we could have Honoghr, for example. And we'd need an asteroid field designated Alderaan Does anyone know the system ?

Yesterday I tried out a model and it was surprisingly easy to convert, working on the first run, so I decided to post it already today. The model is the Mc80, or better known as the Home one. Wow, I've never seen this before and I use RebeEd to change literally everything in the game. What version of RebEd do you use ? Does the problem occur, right after you installed Rebellion without changing anything ?

If you mean with GUI the menu screens, they should be easy to exchange. The pictures are in the dlls and you can open these with the tool I've come to think of as a swiss army knife for Rebellion, Resource Hacker I also don't think the button positions can be changed that way. The game surely will expect button x to be at a predefined position. It would be easier, if it were a win-prog, there you can rearrange the dialog screens with Res.Hacker.

Well it's close to a common mistake many Germans make, when they learn english. The more or less direct translation would be like 'If you want it' with want just spelled the wrong way. One German word for if is 'wenn', so it's at first a bit confusing with when and 'wenn', cause they almost sound the same. But this is all just a wild guess Maybe he really put it on deliberately, to get some attention. Btw, the front right door at the middle doesn't look so shiny to me

I forgot, that others still use their cds, sorry. I switched about 6 or 7 months ago to running Rebellion with Daemon tools, from an image on my hdd. The spinning noise got on my nerves and the Rebellion cd is just too precious to be spinned to death after a small crack in the center ring would appear. That is only a possible threat for people with cdroms, that spin 40x and above. A buddy of mine once was at the pc of a friend of his and the 52x cd rom totally shredded the cd he brought After this, I somehow got really careful But with this you can really decrease heat on notebooks and you can play the music all time.

I've got some character models in my pile, like Thrawn, or Boba Fett. The only reason I never made anything with 'em was, that their arms are spread wide and everytime I tried to bend them back to a normal position, something went wrong. But if want to give it a try, I can mail you some.

Same for me with learning italian and spanish. That leads me back to a question from my tutorial : does anyone know of plugins for gmax ? Especially one that will let gmax export to 3ds ? I tried the plugs from 3dsmax, no use.

Well, some reasons: -They did something here at the uni to the firewall. The second I start the web-based ICQ, the pc reboots -The admins won't allow us to install progs, so one of my favourite tools (odigo) is of the table as well. -Every time I was on ICQ with my pcs at home, you weren't ,although I can't be online for hours, since I'm a poor student -The main reason, we haven't met on ICQ could be, that we've got timezones, that have at least a difference of 7 hours. Don't give up yet You can always email me. That's still availlable at the uni and I check the mails almost every day.

There is a tmpsave file, that's created by Rebellion, but I don't think that it's created every few minutes. That way all the info for the saves should be only in the RAM. You see where this leeds ? Finding all the info between all the other stuff in the memory, you'd have to have at least some reference to where your savefile starts and where the end would be. Anyone else with a better aproach to it ? It's Monday morning and I haven't really slept, so I might've left something out

Elvis, I'd love to have this as well, but I think the only way to do this would be replacing the Deathstar picture from the tactical view and so far, that's impossible for me. I can however make an Eclipse like any other other ship, that can be tweaked like Ricepr suggested.
