  1. and much cheaper than building a whole Deathstar
  2. What about the Mono Tank, or the Chariot LAV for the NR (the latter was named in the Thrawn books)
  3. The Mask is currently sssssmoking .... I'll be more active (releases), when my exams are finished
  4. Tk, look at Trejiuvanat's page (www32.brinkster.com/trejiuvanat/), he's got a card for Ghent there. My usual question that I throw into many discussions lately : do we have pictures for either Page or Kapp Dendo ?
  5. Tsunami: isn't that LAME encoder free as well ? Elvis: about 7 or 8 MB methinks
  6. You mean for the character cards ? If you want to, you can use the ones I made for my cards. I'd need to check if the Alliance symbold will work for NR as well.
  7. They seem to be updating the page, when I clicked on the images link I only got 'under construction'. TK, seeing your sig now, how about a short pm with a report on what .dll you took ?
  8. May you become one with the Force.
  9. Is this something like Install/Demo-Shield, but for free ? The way I like it most ? That would be great. I already tried some patch engine with my namespace-tutorial back then, but some people had serious probs with the patcher. We could decrease the size of the music files by compressing them to mp3 or something and using some prog to inflate them back again during installation.
  10. Amen, brother

    Shiplist

Without any specific other 3D editing software it boils down to deleting litlle 'extras' that look nice, but don'T serve any real purpose for the ship. With the Eclipse I had to delete numerous little claw-like things around the engines, for example, that reduce a lot... among other things. If you use any automatic reduction tool, be sure that you don't end up with holes in your model
  12. In-game 5010 is the picture for the completed Deathstar and 5020 is the Deathstar under construction, just like I said before. Dunno about 5030 from memory right now. With that line I ment that you'd have to click on the + on 5010 and then on 5010's 1033 number, only then can you use the things from the Action menu. Otherwise they are displayed grey and are not usable.
  13. Well done, my young apprentice But I like to add, that you can only use the 'Action' for 5010 and 5020, if you already click on the 1033 of that entry at this stage of the procedure. Now let me try the other questions: #2: The tactpal.bmp ? Dunno exactly. At first I thought the program would pick the colors, that were allowed from there, but I tried once without the tactpal.bmp and it still worked. Maybe it's just, so you can see what colors are possible, or maybe you can use it to import the palette with a graphic program. But in short: it can't hurt to leave it in the folder, where the fighter pics are, that you want to convert. #3: just like the man said, with my addition and it'll work fine. 5010 is the completed DS and 5020 will only appear when a DS is under construction + at least one Imp ship is in orbit + a Rebel fleet is joining the party. The DS under construction will be visible, but unable to fire.

    GUI?

Maybe we could use the head of that silver protocol droid on the Deathstar in EpIV. Seen briefly when Luke and Han escort Chewie into the turbolift to the cell block.
  15. I was mistaken on the small planet pics being used in tactical. vakundok said, he found the bmp data for the ring planet (should be Fornax) and that it used another palette than the fighters. He's working on it and will release it with a future version of his program Elvis, the fighter tutorial was available since I posted that I completed it. It's on top of the Rebellion section on my page. Yesterday I saw it in the downloads section of SWR, too. But only 4 downloads so far
  16. Me neither Congrats on the promotion, you'll be a warlord in no time
  17. Fire rate and everything else should be the same, since only the picture gets replaced with switching these entries.
  18. Ahh, Pucho ... remember when you asked me about it and I explained at length on how to create those blue-screen pics and what dimensions they should have ? These are the pics you need to make cards. Just open RebEd, load the pics, edit the values and save your card. So what's the problem there ? Or do you mean event pics ? These are no cards, just the pictures you can replace with Resource Hacker. -who do you want to condemn ? If you mean 'damn', that's 'Verdammt !' (also means 'damned' as an adjective) Poor Hiob, made the job of a messenger one of the most unhappy ones
  19. Yep, Jahled is right. I've seen (almost) everything the game has and that scene doesn't exist in the movies. You can watch the originals with Smacker (http://members.xoom.virgilio.it/d_kelley/rebellion/reloaded_tc/smacker3.zip), they're in the MDATA folder on your cd. The first set of numbers are the movies, the rest is the music (wave) format. Just either open Smacker and select the movie to play, or copy them to your hdd and rename them to have the extension .smk
  20. But that's 25 years after Yavin, almost 20 years after Thrawn. Besides, what does the XJ look like ? I haven't seen a pic for it yet. If it looks the same then the negotiations will be short
  21. Does anybody know, if Sate Pestage was still around, during the Thrawn period, I got a good picture of him standing with Ars Dangor.
  22. Should be possible, if I find anything more along that line, while I'm digging further. So far, after Hastings pointed me into the right direction, I finally found what a planet looks like in a savegame. I also found a flag, that tells the game, if it is neutral or not settled at all. Maybe higher values for that flag will mean in control by the Empire or the Alliance. So far I haven't found yet the energy amount for the planets. I once saw someone talk about on a site called 'Fly Steven's Rebellion ...' whatever, but it was just that you had to find the exact value that this planet has for energy in your savegame. When I mailed him and asked, if he could clarify that I got no answer at all. A few weeks after that I received a mail, that I had been added to his news service. I tried again just for the sake of it and it seems I was out of the mailing list pretty fast again But back to the topic, since the available enenergy for each planet gets dealed out at random in every new game, you could only do it this way: start the game, save it and then edit the planets you like.
  23. Well it seems you lost nothing from this language so far Although if it comes to Spätzle and other noodles-type-o-food, I'm somehow a heretic among my fellow Swabians. I simply don't like eating these, regardless of the nice words and bribes my family tried to use on me, when I was a little child Btw Tsunami, did you mean Grundkurse with GKs ? I've written my Abitur in '97, so I'm way past that Jahled, there's nothing wrong with talking about food anytime , damn I'm getting hungry. Haven't eaten since the few bites at 07:00 AM and it's almost 12 now. I should've brought some cookies
  24. Hmm now I start to wonder about "Costa Rica" Let's just say somewhere in the area between Stuttgart and Nürnberg, in a region a radio station once used to call 'the wild south' Jahled, I've never eaten black-bread, like here. There is a saying, that a swabian will be homesick, after a few days without it
  25. Pucho, textures are pictures 'wrapped' around a model, or parts of it. So you could change a plain white cube with textures into a dice. Screed, I'll look after those cards. Thanks for letting me know.
