  1. Jahled, we learn as we grow ... older Btw people, I uploaded that NJO starchart from DeAgostini to the dll-editing team's page (http://members.xoom.it/woodsboro/rebellion/reloaded_tc/). It's the most detailed referenced material I've seen so far. This should provide us with the most planets we need for the TC.
  2. Nope, but take a look at my model tutorial (http://kickme.to/woodsboro/) it's not that hard to learn, even if you're lazy
  3. Good to know that finally I'm using it on XP with my laptop and with 2k professional on my 'big pc', I also just installed 98SE as a secondary OS a while ago. No probs there. -Do you hear your harddrive working/rattling after you press replace ? -The tactical.dll is not write-protected ? -Did you try a fresh tactical.dll from the cd (again with write-prot. off) ?
  4. Ah, that bikini still holds much inspiration, even after all these years To advance the story a bit (or not), I'll put my stuff in it: The hooded figure walked alone into the dark alley in London, mumbling, thinking and occasionally swearing. >. The yellow cloak completely covered his figure, the hood was drawn on his face, although a glint of the greenish mask he wore did shine through. He was halfway through the alley, when he noticed it. He felt it coming more, than he actually saw it. There it came, a feline swinging right at him. Hanging from its tail and an odd lager bottle in one paw. The next impression he got from it was, when he risked a look at it, the cat was somehow partially shaved and constantly uttering something that sounded like >. >. The cat flung the bottle at him and in its mewling voice it cried >. In one fluid motion the hooded figure produced a cylinder from beneath his cloak and thumbed a button on. With a hissing sound the lightsaber blades on both ends of the cylinder lurched forward, one almost the same coloration as the cloak of its wearer and the other matching the green of his mask that was now clearly visible with the newly introduced lightsource. He cleaved the bottle in two, disintegrating some of the material in the process. Then he extinguished his saber and holstered it again with one hand, his other hand was gesturing at the cat. The feline, now hanging in the air and grabbing at its throat gave garbled bits of words from it. And as he came closer the hood fell back on his shoulders, revealing the full head covered by the green mask. After flashing a big grin he boomed >. With a hand he reached down and pulled the cat's hidden underwear up and right over its head. With the other hand he produced an oversized slingshot seemingly from thin air and stuffed the feline into it. > he said, just before he let go and with a loud MEEEEEOOOOOOW that could be heard from far the cat flew away in a grand arc. Meanwhile on the moon: Trejiuvanat was inspecting the lunar lander they had found earlier, while Untimely Demise followed the trails around it. Stomping on one of the foot-prints he cried out >. Jahled was still trying to perform wheelies with the moon buggy, when Trejiuvanat called them to hurry back in, because of an approaching sunstorm. After he and Untimely Demise were inside and Jahled finally reached the lander they had a new problem. >. > Jahled said angrily >. While watching Jahled driving away Trejiuvanat murmured >. TO BE CONTINUED
  5. Soooo, none of you ever experienced what I once read in the forum, that a character vanishes and turns up on the other side ? I never had this happen in any of my games for the last 5 years. Well, I'm using RebEd for 3 years now and they just can't defect anymore
  6. You need to delete the rotating MS logo first, then you'll see the model. Also, you can load the models with Lith, that's way better
  7. I try to catch up with discussions as I have a real internet access after writing exams each day: -Jahled that was me with the customizable music in Rebellion 1, but it was the metal version of the Imperial march from Force Commander It is possible to use any music you like in Rebellion (1) with Hasting's patch, but I think you need to copy all the music and movie files, that you don't replace with others from the CD. The reason I deferred releasing that patch he rewrote for me is that it first collided with RebEd. After a short discussion we found the solution and I'll include a registry patch, that'll still allow you to load cards in RebEd and having the patch running.
  8. Btw, Jahled I wrote the second exam today and I didn't forget to bounce this time
  9. Heeeeeey Macarena You sure it's Mickey ? I thought it might be Uncle Scrooge
  10. Hmmm ... go there, I must
  11. Well it's surely something Dreadnoughts have, I get tons of 'em incoming Also something the Dark Troopers and the Wookiees have in common. Hmmm.....
  12. Think about it this way: Rukh was the only one being able to kill Thrawn Also Daala's tactics were known to Ackbar, cause he had to endure time as Tarkin's pet. With no access to improvments to their tactics she still had to use her best knowledge and failed. Another problem she had was, that she became too furious at times. Thrawn was always level-headed, even when something blew up in his face, like Ferrier's little ambush for the smugglers, or that sabotaged ISD.
  13. Well I don't use Photoshop, I'm creating all my stuff with Picture Publisher 9 (a lot cheaper ), but I think I have a way that'll make it possible for you to make a background image that'll have the required palette : -try and use either the one background I once showed you (eat at Jahled's), or extract the original one, convert it back with vakundok's program (bin-bmp) and use this pic as a template. You could just copy your new image parts into this template and save that modified template under another name. Hope this works with Photohop as well
  14. I dunno for caps, but I once found a way to influence the building of fighters: the AI only seems to build the fighters with the biggest detection rate, that's why you end up fighting A-Wings and Tie Defenders late in the game. If you level out the detection value for all fighters, then you'll encounter different types as well. In me current game I encounter mostly A- and B-Wings, some X-Wings as well. Maybe the rules for caps are the same or also based on one certain value of its RebEd card ?
  15. If you already downloaded my models, then you should also have seen that guide from me ... wait ... the downloads here are not complete anymore ! I did change all the links to point at my new site's location, maybe that still needs to be completed. Until that is done dowload the rest directly from my site http://kickme.to/woodsboro/ (game select->Rebellion->Models) Happy gamin
  16. good to hear that. Btw, the links should be fixed by now, but that's already in the site news. And I definately hope the site will remain up longer that the last time
  17. Come on everybody, play nice. We're all in this for fun.
  18. Hmmm, back then according to the rather cryptic informations I stranded on swcic.net for a server and #swrebellion as a channel, but everytime I was there nobody else was.
  19. What book were they in anyway ? I don't remember ever reading about them
  20. Also they were first shown in Dark Empire, so they would fit in the timeline. Regardless of what we decide, Untimely Demise has said it before: anything that doesn't make it into the TC can still be replaced afterwards.
  21. I thought we already discussed earlier, that Luke goes to Jomark instead of Yavin (*cough* Dagobah *cough* ), sees that C'Baoth is one mad dark Jedi and comes back with Force bonuses. That would also be in sync with the books. I'm in the middle of Dark force rising again and Luke hasn't been there yet, but IIRC he even labeled himself a Jedi master afterwards, although I'd say he was a little bit hasty about that
  22. Also, since nobody seems to have recognized it: the W-Wing shown above by Thomhasj is the Preybird fighter But that one was considered to replace the T/F about 19 years after Endor (you can read that in 'Vision of the future'), so the Preybird is way outa timesync here.

    Shiplist

Good luck, I once tried to raise them to get some infos on the savegames, but the webadmin, or WebJedi didn't even bother answering...
  24. I'd say that as well The timeline for the TC is the Thrawn trilogy, 5 years after Endor. We have already agreed to include two ships from the Dark Empire comics, like the Sovereign SSD, although to keep it canon, that one will take very long to be researched.
  25. You're right, after seeing her bouncing again I couldn't concentrate anymore
