Well as soon as you change anything with RebEd, or Resource Hacker, the files are no more in the original state. But since everyone has their game cds, I don't really see, why you'd want to put the unmodified tactical.dll here and also live with the possibility of LA's wrath on you. It's way faster to simply copy the original dll from the cd, than downloading it altogether as well

I just saw I need to update the troops for both sides on my page. I have Stormies, AT-ATs, AT-STs, Gamorreans (started as a joke at first), Royal Guardsmen for the Darktroopers, but since the royal guards were on the run at this time we can't use them.

But with all these 'parts' of the guns firering you could be dividing too much of your firepower on too many targets. Think of an ISD trying to paint a fighter group, three corvettes, a MonCal, ... Eventually the targets would have very little damage and the ISD would be blown to atoms. Just my thoughts on this.

Huh ? Maybe that's something Resource Hacker does, dunno, but I do make manual backups of my tactical.dll every once in a month The easiest way is just selecting the file in the explorer and pressing CTRL+C and CTRL-V and you get a 'copy of tactical.dll' file.

I guess the error messages in RebEd are in french, cause Revolution, the guy who created the program, is from France. Maybe he used a french version of Delphi back then to compile it, that would explain, why only the error messages are in french.

I know that MSN's "ZONE" did support Rebellion about one or two years ago. I played XWing Alliance then and was surprised to see it still there, given MS' usual policy. You should be able to play with your buddy, you just need his 'real' IP number, when he's dialed in. Try emailing, or some instant messenger for this. He just needs to open a Dos-Box and type in ipconfig. That'll give him two IP numbers along with subnet mask stuff, that you don't really need there. The IP number (usually the upper), that does not match the number he's already given to his pc, is the number he currently has. That number changes every time he re-dials ! Only the one, who plays server needs to give his IP number to the other, btw. Hope this helps you !

Tsunami: I am and I got another Home one as well, one with about 1/11th of the polycount of my first try. The problem is, that when it has a texture you can play a tactical battle to the end, but the second the battle is finished, the game crashes. I've discussed this with vakundok, he had some useful tips, some I still have to try out. But I got the dates for my 12 oncoming exams yesterday as well ... ... ... they are not very promising. I'll see what I can do, maybe I get another one of these mad-man accumulations and I'm suddenly able to complete it in half an hour Jahled & Untimely: let's do the voices last . We still have a long way to go there. But a contest would be nice then, yeah.
