  1. Talk about most complicated install ever... I guess taco has shown me up.
  2. Did you read the thread about Windows Vista and Rebellion in the main forum? The fix is posted there to get Rebellion working in Vista.
  3. What a tease! Star Wars Rebellion: Reloaded is finally here... OMG... I should have read last page of posts first
  4. PSU man, PSU. Power Supply Unit. Also, I have eliminated the PSU, the fans, and the HD from the equation. All I am left with now is that irritating little speaker on my mobo itself, and I have no idea why that would squeal. I recommend SilverStone PSUs, I have a 460 and 600 watt models running my desktops respectively. 1000RPM 120mm fans at 16db for very quiet performance. I'd just unplug the case speaker motherboard connection as any boot error is going to give you a display code on modern boards anyways. Most use to do beeps only a morse code style manner of short and long beeps to indicate an error code that could be looked up the owner's manual, other than troubleshooting, no reason to plug that in at all.
  5. Dangit, why someone have to go slap (joke) in the title? That took all my joke out of it SWRebellion gets two thumbs down on fun. Edit: Nevermind, fixed it myself... /me waits for his locked thread.
  6. LOL... I love it.... someone make some wallpapers with a star wars jawa romance theme. Perhaps a serenade with lord vader or slave leia?
  7. You may have already seen this police dash board clip played already over CNN and Fox News the past few days but it is of a crane tipping over onto a car nearly killing a woman. The location of this incident is about 4 miles from my house and used to drive through this intersection 5 times a week when my old job was on the far side of town.
  8. PSYCH! LOL... I'm waiting patiently and line sitting my place to be first to download Reloaded, hehe. Line breakers will be shot on sight. Sit down and curse the wait.
  9. I think the majority of users are going to have at minimum a directx 8 capable card in their system at this point. It would be nice to include functionality for some older shaders but overhead is unrealistic for a hobbist programmer. My opinion would be to focus on DirectX9+ for ATI and NVIDIA performance. My systems currently: Sager 5720 w/ 7800 GTX GO 256MB Opteron170 w/ 7800 GS AGP 256MB My brothers new laptop: PowerPro J 10:15 w/ 8600GT 512MB
  10. Ah, screw the source code. You got the inside influence, use it to get a sequel on the planning table!
  11. Is it out yet, Is it out yet, Is it out yet? ?! July 4, 2007 GMT is here!
  12. Sorry to hear that. My grandfather had started exhibiting the early symptoms just months before his death and it was sometimes humorous and at other times sad journey. It's best that he went quickly and easy and make the best of the memories and to hold onto them.
  13. For everyone that ran out and bought an iPhone this weekend... read this: The guys at hackint0sh.org have cracked the password. The root and another "mobile" account password of iPhone OSX 1.0, have been obtained from a passwd file. The hash turned out to be old plain 1979 DES. DES! Can you believe it? Wow! Apple's forgotten that the world of computing has progressed since 1979. I mean, if you are using DES it's like leaving a key next to the lock of a bullion bank! Come on! Perhaps a rookie mistake...And in case, you are wondering what it is:The password for root is "alpine"The "mobile" user accounts password is "dottie" Link: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1323 ROFLMAO!
  14. Granted, on the condition that you'll never know what I'm talking about. I wish to be prohibited from participating in this thread anymore.
  15. Granted, but you are unable to choose what not to see and have seen me naked. Edit: Granted but the all the Mexican restaurants closed and I am pissed and have beat your ass. I wish that were anti-omniscient blinds on my window. Edit: I wish that were a bunch of fajitas in front me cause I'm hungry.
  16. Ok, I will have to retest this again. My attempts were made with 7800 GS and the early nvidia drivers and didn't work. I agree about Vista performance being crap, I have the x86 version for my laptop and the frame rates on my 7800 GTX GO are below what they were under XP.
  17. Granted, that it would be a documentary about a group of nerds that ass raped George Lucas after screwing up the originals. I wish for some chicken nuggets and a diet coke.
  18. Good to know. The only time I used x64 Vista was in late beta before release. I tried the exact method you did of using files from XP x64 and it would not work at the time. It may have been that the video drivers would not support it at that time. Thanks for verifying that it now works in any case If you don't mind, let me know the following. What video chipset are you using? Which driver version are you using for the above chipset?
  19. Granted, your feathers have been soothed and shined with baby oil but you can't fly. I wish the burning would stop after peeing.
  20. Granted, but Hillary has to join in the fun of it and wears a hat over her fugly face. I wish that the US was capable of winning a war. We can pound you in the ground but I am unconvinced with have ever won anything (maybe except Japan, they have their whole sex crazed techno culture to thank us for)
  21. Probably be best to create a new subforum for reporting and discussing issues related to the public beta testing. I'll volunteer to verify/moderate discussions if need be's. This is more of an informal greeting of everyone looking to play this soon enough!
  22. Are you sure the .avi file you are trying to play requires an external codec to display properly. I recommend downloading ffdshow, it's an all in one video and audio (Xvid, DivX, AC3) decoder. Also download VLC 0.86c, it's my favorite media player. I don't use media player unless its 6.2 (mplayer2.exe on 2k/xp). I have upgraded to Vista and being the Linux/BSD user myself, don't find it as bad as most of the Windows users are making it out to be. The only thing that is bothering me about Vista at the moment is the performance of my video card drivers but stability has been reliable. On external enclosures, one reason to go with 2.5" over 3.5" is that laptop drives draw lower power and can run via power over USB. 3.5" drive enclosures will require external a/c power adapter. The remainder of this post is brought to you by our sponsor: Hamas Mickey! http://youtube.com/watch?v=9ob8U9tYir0 Followed up by a response from out great dictator of the executive branch!
  23. External hard drives are great for what you want to do then. I upgraded my laptop hdd recently and bought a 2.5" USB2.0 externel shell for the old 80GB drive for $17 from newegg. Really handy for backups and files you want to go back and forth with often.
  24. Granted that with proper performance improvements, you become addicted and have no functional life outside of gaming. I wish Tufo to horrible agony in every moment of his coming life, through the battle against video game addiction, through his alcoholism, and to know Bud will always harass him.
  25. Why not just go to the drive icon and share the entire drive and copy the whole thing over the network in one go? And yes, you do have to have a matching user/password account for the file sharing if full permissions are not assigned to the Everyone group (you would only see this if you are using classic file sharing mode aka 'administrator panel' of NTFS permissions).
