  1. Its not odd Tofu... I'm not a sims lover.. so why would i know it?.. Thanks Krytos .. yea i was a bit shocked by those questions... I'm just old enough to have played most the games and remember about how old I was when I did.... and stuff like that... hell.... the last question about the XCOM series... I still have that game on a bookshelf in my house. Xcom forever! How I hate all the clones and wannabe-prequels of this great game.
  2. Why does everyone hate ewoks? I can't understand. They were quite popular in the 80's (2 movies, cartoon series) Ewoks are fine! Boba Fett would have deserved more roleplay, but at the time he wasn't really important. I think Fett's character is legendary only because of some EU stuff, games and Jango Fett. Otherwise, he was quite a noob Another stupid thing in SW was C3PO and R2D2 surviving everything and getting involved in all events. (however, it was fun) But Jar Jar is probably the worst. Everyone agrees?
  3. You can still import your own cards after installing Reloaded. It will have an own install tool, and you don't need to have RebEd for it, but you can still use it of course. That's why all BETA testers will require RebEd, to see the stats and discuss it here. I don't want to post the stats, you will see it in the BETA. Calculations can't be enough, we need space battles to test them. "The MC-80b is a 1200 meter long cruiser built by the famed starship designers, the Mon Calamari. A distinctive design, the MC-80b is considerably more powerful than the more common MC-80 design and can fight most Imperial Star Destroyers to a standstill. Although it has the same amount of guns, the new targeting systems and linked firing controls increase its firepower significantly. The MC-80b carries 4 squads of fighters."
  4. Well I'll tell you some of them: The Corvette, Carrack crsr, Star Destroyer mark I., neb.-b will be set for both sides. We have new ships like: Modular Starhauler, Mc40, Mc80b, and 3 kinds of SSDs. The battlestation is the Golan III, that Mask created. For the fighters, we did only chagnge the y-wing and the bomber to something new. For the army units, there still will be wookies, stormtroopers, darktroopers, but it will include airpeeders and clonetroopers. For the special forces we have stealthtroopers, NR Regulator (repalcing stupid guerillas), Scout Corps, Noghris and fully new espionage units (yupp the bothans and the protocol droid had to go) Of course all cards are updated with new graphics. Stats are new too, but since beta will be a test for them, It won't be of any use to give them out now.
  5. HAhaaa. Umm never plyaed that one http://www.funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz1449191098fd0.html You scored: 10 / 20 Total points: 100 The average score for this quiz: 9 / 20 Beat it
  6. I want to know just how deeply i'm involved in pc-gaming. I want online test, all of them! Let us find out. I suppose I'm quite a "gamer", but who knows
  7. I think that writing was pretty good. I don't see a problem with using the movies and it's contents as a canon. It does influence the reader by how it1s written though. Still there are some good points in it. I always thought that a Republic could never work out in such scales. Only a dictatoric goverment could do the job (My example would be China. It works for a couple of thousand years by now). The empire is evil because a tale need to have the evil side. I don't think it would fit in real life. The empire is evil because of the darkest Sith influence in it (which is risking and willing too much) The weakest part of his writing is about Alderaan. Well there isn't to much to say about that That's really EVIL. But we could start to get some reasons for the other side. So why is the Rebellion "good"?
  8. We have 10 new ships and a battlestation. But all ships have new graphics and models. (and some ship are now available for both sides) "What about Moddb for the site?" I'm not sure what that word stands for
  9. Rebellion Reloaded still needs much (movies, voices, event pictures)development. Therefore we've decide to release a BETA version soon. See the link below: http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/postt3706.html
  10. So let's hear, what do you want to know
  11. Yupp there is a BETA in our hands It is time to answer all your questions! ABOUT BETA: It will be released after the following task are completed: -Animating some advisor gestures. (in progress right now) -Recording the lines of the NR advisor. -Embending the 2 new droids. - main installer for Reloaded - some basic site where you can get it (half done) It won't include: all movies new voices (except for the advisors hopefuly) full game balance (that's why it's beta in the first place) some event pictures (most of them are done however) It will come with: all new cards all models new GUI and interfaces animated advisors encyclopedia entries reshaped galaxy bugs Why was it taking so long: I've just counted. I have 1366 image files on my hd, produced all for Reloaded. (not counting the animation frames of course, which is about 5000 more) Lot of voices, movies, text needed to be changed to fit with the Thrawn era. We had a very small team for all these tasks. Release date is not yet set (sorry, is impossible to tell when our team members have time to finish their tasks). As we have a date I will tell you. Before release, you will see some more screenshots on this site, so keep an eye out for them If you see the new GUI on one of the screenshots, then the release won't be far away anymore

  13. Yes I know, -w is working, it sets the game to a 640x480 window (which is the resolution of the game anyway) I just want to find an optimum for playing such an old game on a new system with high resolutions. On 1280x960 (my prefered desktop res) the windowed game is a bit small for my taste. And full screen is just awful, as it fall apart. Righ now the best way to play Rebellion is to set your desktop to 1024x768 and run Rebellion in windowed (-w) mode. That's more or less big enough for playing it.
  14. Umm. "shows up in game" that is So what's this event?
  15. I need to know where this image (and it's counterpart) shows up in game: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/7609/10367gq.th.png
  16. Is it possible to force Rebellion with some kind of software to run in a 800x600 sized window?
  17. Isn' it "sublight speed" that controls the time of traveling?
  18. Krytos, did you realize that you're actually living in North Korea?! :D:D This is a small cut-out from the whole show found here: http://www.sinn-frei.com/stupid-americans_4523.htm No offense of course, but this is really HEAVY
  19. I voted for NO. I don't really see a point why there should be "Seven Wonders" anyway.
  20. The other way round for me. My experience of anything other than the movies tends to turn me off Star Wars, though some of the antics of the prequels pushed me dangerously close (supersonic Jedi etc). Darksaber got thrown into the Mediterranean from a boat in Spain, Ironfist abandoned on a tube train half way through. Then there's the completely daft themes that echo as 'cannon' throughout the expanded universe, like rebel fighter superiority when in both films and the original novelization they are described as 'antiques,' in comparison to their Imperial counterparts. That and forcestorms devouring twelve mile long spaceships, galaxy guns, suncrushers, fleets of Star Destroyers shoved through hyperspace by the combined efforts of teenage Jedis, etc. Nah. I'll stick with the movies for my enjoyment of Star Wars and forgive George Lucas for the occasional inconsistency. I've read the Zahn books and the New Hope. I don't see why they should be better then the movies. The Thrawn trilogy is really great, but only because we already have the "images" in our head, which we got from the movies. It's pretty clear to me, that SW itself has a movie experience. GL's world needs to be visualized with all it's stuff in it. Even these 3 new (not that good) movies he made are actually forming the whole star wars galaxy. As for the "bugs" like Leia knew her mother and such... I think they are simple little mistakes, that only we (hc swr fans) could spot or even be insulted by them.
