  1. I have Supremacy too, It doesn't conflict with RR.
  2. As I've just got both original KOTOR games from my girlfriend (nice gift ) I'll be on the way to do some lightweight mods. For me playing KOTOR is a tradition, I play them about every year once. Pcgamemods is down :=( That was the best (and maybe only) KOTOR mod page
  3. I do shaolin for 8 years now. Where do you train? Back belt? We don't really have any belts here (Chan Wu Federation)
  4. Kuat is there. Some installation problem it must be! Kuat is the very first planet in the top left corner.
  5. Is possible, try to modify the volume in the options screen. (lot of homemade recordings..) Piper your beta didn't install itself properly. (you need to unpack the files into a "beta" folder within the games folder. Like C:\program files\Lucas Arts\Star Wars Rebellion\beta) There are some feautres still to come for this beta! (some images, interfaces update and music)
  6. First of all, thank you Rob for your good words, we really appreciate it and needed it too To answer some of the problems you mentioned: 1. Coruscant should be on the NR side. Should be an installer error, thugh Mask will sure know more about this. 2. Yes, we had lot of people wanting to do lines for C'baoth, but we are simply too young and believe me no effect filter can give back such characteristic old voice. So we need to find an old (or really old sounding) man, who can record these few lines for us. Mask did some recordings though. I don't know if he loaded that stuff into the BETA 3. Mines and most of the facilities were not updated for the BETA. Only a new shipyard is in ( in the slot of adv. shipyard). System defences are partially updated. 4. Missions. The missions are the same, some mission images were changed (also teh interface) but not all yet. 5. Think we have all recordings for that. Mask should know more about this issue. 6. The red droid (I like him ) will be replaced with an officer. His voice was recorded by Jahled (should be in the beta aswell) Thanks for the testings and quick questions. We'll try to answer/fix everything
  7. I've played that LOTR game, think it was okay, but I didn't see such potentials in it. I guess lot of games could be made better with modding. In fact, I believe, in the future highly modable games will be much more succesful than the others. I have some old games installed too Like Xcom Gold edition or Line of Sight Vietnam. If you played Transport Tycoon, you should google this: OPENTTD That's one of the reasons I play Elder Scrolls: Oblivion these days (for a year now I can only recommend this piece. I must say, I'm really don't like fantasy stuff, but this one caught my attention. Reasons: Has a huge worldspace, and you can travel to anywhere. That means, if you see a mountain in the far, you can really go there if you want (remember the old days with 2d texture drop in the back? ) Explore the whole region, it's really there! You don't have to follow the story line. You can do what ever you want. TOTAL FREEDOM. That is what I'm always searching in games. I want to decide what comes next. Here I don't need to go and fight evil, I just wake up in the morning, and go out collect some flowers from the fields. Has a very good, modable base with lots of tools. That's why the game has lot of fans, and new mods are coming out every day. For FPS I would recommend Rainbow Six: Vegas. (guess everybody knows the series) And for RTS fans, I would say Faces of War or Company of Heroes. Both are very well made and have nothing to do with traditional Starcraft-like rts games. For Rome: Total War fans, the Extended Greek Mod is highly recommended too.
  8. ( nice idea, but doesn't it boost up the forum rankings in an unfair way? Like spamming. I hope it's not an endless game...make sure it won't be. Or maybe a one post per person per day?)
  9. Dude! Those look like the Clone Troopers from Rebellion Reloaded! You are a prophet! Yupp they are I was picking them about 2 years ago from that site
  10. Many ships are available to both sides! That is one part we need to test. Ships like the Star Destroyer or the Neb. class frigate and the Carrack too. This could unbalance the game in some way, though it could also get it more even. We'll se about this after a few rounds.
  11. It took me some time to get things rolling, primarily due to my lack of experience with RebEd and having a "Typical" install originally. I renamed my original install folder and then reinstalled a fresh, "Maximum" install in the default directory and tried everything again. It worked, but I did get the "String too long, Truncated" message, but after clicking "Ok" a bunch of times, it worked. So, if you're having problems, I'd recommend doing a fresh maximum install in the default directory and try again. Everything looked pretty great for the few minutes I've played so far. I'm wondering if being able to build Star Destroyers as the Rebels might be a small bug, though. Kudos to the team. Well done. Te beta could have many small bugs, but that is not one of them. Rebels are no longer rebels, they represent the New Republic. And so they have Coruscant and all (or most) of the technologies. That is why they can build a Star Destroyer too (however, only Mark I) If you guys fins something strange ingame, you can make a screenshot of it and post it here.
  12. Yes I had that error message too, but I think it's common, and not caused by the TC. Feel free to open new topics here for testing. Should be enough to handle it I think. I can't create new subforums, if you insist, you need to ask Big E.
  13. Alright, one again: We need a MODERATOR for beta testing. I hope all of you could install the beta without any problem. So please, somebody take the lead. (Jahled, Mask are busy with RL, I'm only the art director, and don't really know much about the stats)
  14. Very-very first BETA release of Rebellion Reloaded: http://www.swrebellion.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=8
  15. Just check if Mask is browsing the site or not He has the package
  16. My guess would be that he doesn't even heard about Rebellion yet
  17. You guys have any guesses for a 1.0 release date (upon their progress)?
  18. Today is release day! Stay tuned for Mask's update. He will upload our baby tonight after work (RL stuff sucks sometimes)
  19. Anyone knows what is wrong with pcgamemods.com? It's the second time it dissapeared without warning.
  20. I've played both games several times. Yesterday my girlfriend bought me them as a suprise, so now I have the original games! (you don't know how this sounds in Hungary ) I play them every year since they came out, and this "mod" is really promising. I will wait for a 1.1 or 1.2 though
  21. That would be fine, if everybody agrees, you could be the one who manages the testing phase on the forums
  22. we could make such a SWR TC. But who would play with it anyways? I do have a card with my ninja dude on it. I think I even have it on this site
  23. Rebellion Reloaded is a 'Total Conversion' for Star Wars: Rebellion. After some long years of work, we final can present a BETA version of it. BETA release date is: 4th July, 2007. Plot: Reloaded is a sequel to Rebellion in many ways. Some ships, characters and facilities are 'fading' in to the TC from the original game. After the destruction of the Death Star, and the fall () of the Emperor, the Empire's forces are scattered through the Galaxy. The New Republic has been announced, but it is still fragile and many systems are still loyal to Palpatine's legacy. The Empire's fleet doesn't outnumber the Alliance anymore, brute force can't be a solution for defeating them. Grand Admiral Thrawn, a military genious is making more and more trouble for the New Republic. It seems, his tactical skills make him a new threat, and while the Senate is busy with intergalactic politics and diplomatic issues, Thrawn can reunite and rebuild the Empire's forces, and perhaps find allies to defeat Jedi Master Skywalker. The TC and it's cards are based upon Timothy Zahn's trilogy: * Heir to the Empire (1991) * Dark Force Rising (1992) * The Last Command (1993) This means, the more important slots are all filled up with Characters/Ships/Troops refering to these books. Features: 60 new (never seen before) Character cards 12 new Capital ship classes 2 new Fighter classes 30 new high-poly ship models 5 new Troop types 6 new Special forces units 2 new Planetary defense systems ALL card images have been updated, redrawn. New encyclopedia entries for everything. New advisors (planned for final release) with new voices Fresh in-game music (SW soundtrack, still mono but better quality) Totally revamped Galaxy map, based on SW-EU maps. New user interface for oth sides (including GUI and new windows, buttons, etc..) Tons of new event images More then 1500 sprites replaced New cutscenes (in progress) Just a quick reminder, that BETA release is not to be confused with FINAL or FULL release. Public beta is an unbalanced version, you will get all new ships and characters, but the ingame experience won't be perfect. If you are just looking for fun, you could be dissapointed. This release is rather for those people, who want to help us testing the game. WE ARE LOOKING FOR TESTERS! Please check in here http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/postt3904.html
  24. Anyone who is willing to make serious testings (trying out every ship in different situations, testing stats in various battles. Character stat. balance, troops, and spec. forces) please report in here! The testing will be public, DON'T send us your results, rather discuss it in these forums somewhere. The testing will be a COMMUNITY EVENT, that means, we need to test, think, and argue about the changes and suggestions. I really hope, there will be enough people for this project. If we have a larger crowd for this, we also will need a motivated MODERATOR, who can manage the workflow and the discussions. Good luck, and may the Force be with us!
