  1. Yeah i know. Evaders Igor etc: What are the chances of getting an art section going, or is it more trouble than it's worth?
  2. You realise of course that i have no idea what you said.
  3. Well where does one draw the line, the hur that you order, the minute, the second? All they are is units. In a game paced like Rebellion, i'd say having your events happens everyday is fine. What is it called, i dunnpo, how about, Simultaneous Automatic Turn Based, you and the pc both do your thing at the same time, and the end of each time unit is automatic, though you can control the length of the time unit.
  4. No i mean have my own personal ISD in orbit over earth!!!
  5. Though some might say that women are aliens.... Any more news on Galaxies folks? They set a release date didn't they, i wonder if they've got one for GB yet?
  6. Well either they'd both have swords, or they'd both have lightsabers, in the interests of fairness.
  7. OOC: Immediate reaction: OOooooooh, sweet writing dude! That hadn't even entered into my mind! But there are somethings that i want to get said.... IC: Iulor: "Iulan, we didn't just find the blue guys out there. We found other things too, worlds, technologies you wouldn't imagine. But most important, we made a discovery. The edge of the galaxy doesn't stop hyperspace. It accelerates it. We made the jump to another galaxy." Iulan: "Wha, how, wow, Grandad, that's pretty amazing stuff. What did you find?" Luke: "Some of that you don't need to know. Most of it will be documented in due time. But there are somethings relevant to our mission. We're not alone. Or at least, we don't think we are. The Taskforce found traces of another civilisation, equally advanced, but using entirely biological technology. Steeped in violence, a warrior caste. It seems that their galaxy could no longer support them and they left for other galaxies. Their hyperspace sesms slightly different from ours. They couldn't jump out of the galaxy. Instead, they had to go at sublight. They went to several galaxies, with the apparent intent of conquoring them. They left two thousand years ago. They've almost arrived at their destinations. We're one of them. They call themselves the Yuuzhan Vong. They'll be arriving in this sector, but we don't know how soon." The room fell silent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Plot twist alert. What would have happened if the Vong came early? During or just after the time of the Thrawn crisis. I say it's time to find out. I would suggest that certainly for the time being there be no alliance whatsoever between Rebels and Imperials. (Swarmer pay attention, because the effect of this will be available for hacking) However, the Rebels are about to start preparing to fight the Vong, and as such there will be fleet movement in preparation that will make no apparent sense to the Imperials, until such time as it becomes blatantly obvious or the Rebels let them know. Enjoy!
  8. And you a loyal Imperial Untimely. SHAME ON YOU!!!
  9. And you a loyal Imperial Untimely. SHAME ON YOU!!!
  10. Yeah, all the 'Black' guys, Vaders wingmen in the battle of Yavin. Problem is, all the books are written from the point of view of the Rebels, so there's little need to have that many well known Imperial pilots. Also the Imperial strategy of 'disposeable' pilots negates fame for individuals, except for those who truly excel.
  11. OOC: We're set during the Thrawn period in terms of time, although we don't have to stick to the events at all that are currently happening, but we're aiming to keep to the history. By the way, the revelation of the Outward Bound Flight project is not available for slicing. That may or may not change depending on where the story goes, and how involved they become. Thank you.
  12. V.funny, but the scary thing is, it could well end like that.
  13. Jahled, i think you helped me make my point. What Terry Jones has done is brought it down to a personal level. Terry Jones has made what seems to be a very idiotic story, the situation he writes about seems absolutely ridculous. But it's exactly what's going on in the world. Now, i'm willing to concede that ridiculous things can and do happen. But we need to be careful. It might only appear to be ridculous and really be very serious, or it might really all be a very silly course of action on the part of various leaders. Me, i think we're buggered. Even the purist of politicians has to be influenced by situations that should have nothing to do with the problem, like popularity, after all, what's the point if you're going to start doing the right thing, only to be chucked out halfway through because you're not satisfying the right people. I think that whatever happens it's not going to work out. Until the entire population of the world gets their priorities sorted out and stops putting the needs of number one first, there will never be a satifactory resolution to any conflict. Not that there should be a conflict in the first place. Unfortunately we don't live in anything approximating an ideal or perfect world.
  14. Sounds good to me, i do occasionally turn off my GID, but not often as there isn't really any reason to do so.
  15. Well those of us that have been discussing the Facilities seem fairly settled on what we want, just deciding now what we want the picture to look like, so maybe submitting some to a dedicated section and them voting would be a good idea. We can sort out the text later.
  16. Yeah, not too keen on the ocean idea. Um, i want something open and sprawling, looking very random, certainly not like the fixed enclosures we see in ST.
  17. the_Mask : It is a rather, quaint image isn't it. Hard to focus....
  18. Yeah, we could have all our 1500 (!) members, we'd be immense!
  19. Igor: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! SWARMER: Hmmmm, how about just before Episode IV, at the peak of his darkness and 'health'
  20. And the good of women kind, and alien kind, i think that covers it....
  21. I think that Rebellion is essentially unique in its time management and should be left how it is. In terms of managing a galaxy i think it works very nicely.
  22. Exactly, i agree entirely
  23. Or Tenacious D Or Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Or Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Or the Shrek Album.......
  24. Man that is so out of order. Over a third of a million people say it, but they just say oh they're only joking. Well what if we refused to accept Christianity because we say they're only jooking about an all powerfull all loving God? There's probably more evidence for the Force than there is for God, from a certain point of view. (I'm actually a committed Christian, but my point stands nevertheless.)
