I think it's supposed to be something to do with the fact that Yoda knew Darth Sidious was going to hunt down all the Jedi and exterminate them, and he and Obi-Wan knew that Luke and Leia would be there only hope, so they had to keep a low profile. I think this is supposed to be a mixture of impressions of her real mother, Amidala, through the force, in later books we see women who are pregnant with force sensitive kids getting strong impressions from them, even when in the womb. It may also be that Leia is confused with her adoptive mother, who we know has has several miscarriages, which i imagine would leave her pretty unhappy from time to time. I think that's a genetics vs environment thing. Having read the Clone Commandos books it shows how the clones develop very different personalities from each other, all the same physioplogically, but distinctly different at the same time.

I'd go for Cry-Toss, My name comes from school times when everyone had a 'tag'. A coupla female friends of mine got bored in chemistry and came up with a name for me. Elvis cos i have a bit of a quiff in my hair, like the great king himself, and Miggell cos it's funkier than Michael which is my real name. I did point out to them that this is not how you spell Miggell. It kinda stuck as a useful name for registering for websites etc as it seems to be more or less unique. Now you tell me yours!

Good work. I'm still waiting for Legacy of the Force - Betrayal to come out in paperback, i've already got Bloodlines ready and waiting. I think that's the dirtiest cheapest trick in the book, having the first in the trilogy in hardback for ages and then releasing the others in paperback to try and make me spend more and get a hardback of the first and then paperback of the second and third. Well no more i say! I'm not reading the second book until the first comes out in paperback, and damn them if that leaves me behind the times! Scummy George Lucas and his cash grabbing antics!

Relatively mild here in England, spent most of the day with my family, and then the night and next couple of days at the girlfriends grandparents, which was... fun

Of course, if it's flights of fancy you're looking for, i suggest we build a moonbase, ship out the ladies, build a leisure center with a beach surrounded by bars and served by yet more hot ladies, and fly us out in our own personal starfighters.... it's just a thought mind you.

Dare i suggest that perhaps the main plot of Star Wars EU has run it's course? What i mean by that is that there's only a certain amount you can do with Luke Leia Han etc etc... and it feels like that's coming to an end. The problem is, to kill all of them off would be nigh on impossible, but how else can Jacen Jaina etc ever really become the focus of a new era. Which leads to another problem, what about villains? I think that maybe it's time for the writers to focus on more 'outsider' type characters. Would it hurt for example to do a trilogy of Thrawn books set in the unknown regions, or possibly follow Palleon in his quest to unite the empire, or maybe even do something real with Dash Rendar. All of these people have featured in Star Wars, and have so much left to be written about in the current chronology, rather than trying to extend the existing one further, why not flesh it out a bit?

Well i don't think we can be called Wookies, most of us are hairless geeks, and not particularly big or strong (except in the intellectual department!) and therefore i don't think Wookies fit the bill. Maybe we could all be Rodians?

I thought the series was good at the time, but having just re-read the old Rogue Squadron (including the Wraiths) series, i found that to be much better. I'm not quite sure why, i think maybe because there's more "classic" Star Wars in there, and no over-reliance on Jedi. I think maybe 19 books was just too amibitious, i mean, the original trilogy was told in just three books!

And of course we never condone downloading games.

Didn't you also work as a receptionist for a time at an asylum, too? Um, i was on the Management and Training Section in the Asylum Screening Unit at Lunar House in Croydon. Basically i trained people how to do the first interrogation (i mean interview) that an asylum seeker faces.

Nah, it's gotta be London. Though my main justification for that is my laziness!
