  1. Well Stratus, i checked out the site, and im liking what i saw, so my application is winging it's way to you guys. Hope to hear from you soon.
  2. So are we decided now? Reb Reloaded yeah
  3. Ahh, my friend, you seem to be forgetting Wayland Whiskey, nothing better in front of a roaring synthfire on a cold night.
  4. Well the game i remember was about 12 or 13 years ago, so it's probably different.
  5. Everything's relative my friend...
  6. Indeed Sir, that is exactly what i am implying. This situation is most unfortunate, and does not bode well for our Rebel friends.
  7. Yeah, maybe it wasn't, and i do think that big fleets are more fun, the programmers definitely missed out on the AI there. You tend to only ee big enemy fleets when you've got them on the run in a huge galaxy, where they only have a few sectors left.
  8. Evaders, you're a star. I could kiss you, but i won't.
  9. Interesting, that could work.
  10. A friend and i once did an AoE mod, but now you've got Battlegrounds.
  11. Joust = two knights with broadswords going at it? Kinda like a medievel street fight? If so then yes. I used to have an Acorn Electron.
  12. Hmm, doesn't work on my work computer. Evidently works on my home pc though - see above.
  13. Hmmm, i wonder if our complaint might be based on constantly wanting to play Endor over and over again. Think about it, in a galaxy with limited resources, you need to have coverage. Now the Imps are more likely to have a couple of SD's in each sector, rather than two huge fleets i the entire galaxy. It may not be as much fun, but it does make more sense in tactical terms. And i have come up against fleets with three SSD's in them, plus about 16 ISD II's I think we need to look at things like the NJO books, there's a lot more little skirmishes and far fewer huge battles, and that makes sound tactical sense.
  14. It doesn't crash the game. You, as the Rebels turn up in a system to battle the Imps, the first thing that happens in the action is that the Imps use the DS and fire on you! Which is a little bit annoying. Grrrrrrrrr
  15. Unfortunately you can't do it to Coruscant without losing the game.
  16. Only one problem, that's not going to work against a human, it'll become a challenge of the wills, whose got the most patience....
  17. Sorry guys, still no luck with the mass alteration thingymajigger.
  18. Nope, as usual, when it comes to anything technical i'm well and truly stumped, off the board, confuzzled etc etc.
  19. Liking the quotes guys, see who can come up with the best...
  20. Yeh, although Vader's only going to appear in costume for the last five minutes of the film, says Lucas, apparently.
  21. Hmm, i know there's one out there somewhere, i'll keep trying. It doesn't appear to be on my pc so i'll have to try and find it.
  22. That's the thing about the disasters, they do make the game a little more difficult, annoying, and perhaps realistic. But then stop and think. A disaster that could take out all the mining ability of a planet would destroy that planet, everyone on it would die, and it would be uninhabitable. Which is not what happens in the game. So if you weant to be realistic to the idea of a disaster that kills all your mines on a planet, i say blow up the fricking planet!!! Yay, more glorious death and destruction, and then you get the morale reaction you would expect to get from a disaster of that magnitude.
  23. You could try lowering your stats too...
  24. Hmmm, be interesting to see how the AI plays as the Alliance if you give them Death Stars.....
  25. Actually Mask i was really impressed by that. You don't see a lot of people on the net take the time to make sure that what they're doing is legal, and bother to explain it too. Well done!
