JC add the Golan Defense Station built with upgradable (Golan 1>2), to large planetary centres how Coruscant,Kuat,etc.and GDS lvl 1 on  smaller planets how  Kamino,Bakura etc there now it on all.on map GC.

Makes sense. Some planets couldn't obtain GolanIII, I believe.

 

Whether it is possible to add ability for StarBase or SpacePort -DEPLOY_SQUAD ( or to name her DEPLOY_RESCUE_FLEET) there now from this in order to she pulled off small fleet?.

It fleet was it been possible was with this to only 3 times was call in and every time called in fleet she was to larger and stronger.

Pointless- main Starbase is spawning fighters, so adding another station that spawns ANYTHING would be serious unbalance.

 

Oh, JC, there are exceptions to laptops not being good for gaming.  I agree that there are few, but they exist:  alienware laptops, certain asus laptops, and certain just released hp's.  Yes hps.  Hps are really good computers for their price.  I guess the Dell XPS would be another exception.

There now this lets in tactics of attack sure changes always on enemy's base if consciousness is that after it destruction on station hangar_bay it can appear something which can yet settle about fates of battle.

So this would make difficult somewhat game.

 

It would will add ability well LASER_DEFENSE for StarBase ?it lacks her antimissile protection

Well the way it's been done is that Golans are built in skirmish mode from a Satellite build pad. You build initially a Golan I - it has an upgrade sequence to level 2 and 3 Currently I restricted the build's of Golans But in thinking this over maybe at least 2 of each could be built. I am not sure about this, but anyway it's currently set like this. I was all for putting Golan Platforms in GC mode to be built the same way instead of building them from the command bar, but it would seem some do not want that. I was going to do similar with the XQ stations as well. However I will now just keep them as they are in GC mode, and keep them out of skirmish too.

 

Adding abilities to a Star base might work although I have heard of this before but it might be possible.

It was to magnificently to have Star_Base from some defensive ability and stations Golan  ;D

 

The Space Port is stronger and more more resistant from Space Base,and his defence ( plot) it against fighters is so strong that the cruiser can destroy even in battle of one-on-one, without no serious damages.

hey DV I will be on MSN - see if you can get on as there a few things I want to talk with you about :) Also I have a general question to everyone who has been testing this in GC mode. - I notice when I test the game that Naboo only ever builds a heavy ship yard in the  Maw campaign when I play the Empire. Has any one had any experiences of the AI preferring to build only one type of ship yard ? - I would like to know what ever you have experienced on the AI building ship yards, whether its ever only the same one or type or if you find it does build more than one type. Let me know - this will help me to decide whether to re do how ship yards work in GC mode. If it needs re doing then I need to know. Edited by jedi_consulor

OK, its very basic looking right now - nothing too impressive, but its only an Invisionfree forum for now. I might start a proper hosted forum soon for SOTE with a much better web site and forum look and feel to it that is deserving of Star Wars. Don't forget to keep posting up news and updates here too. It's good of FOSH to have added SOTE to the community projects forum so lets keep this going too :)

Very cool, at least we'll stop spaming other sites with development discussion ;D

 

Don't forget though this site as with the other one has helped the SOTE project get going. None of you would be involved with it now if I didn't start a few threads about it in the first place. I don't see this as spamming in a community projects forum anyway, it's why the forum is here, for project's like this to show case what they are up to and how far we have got ! :)

I am still not seeing everyone who joined to be a beta tester joining the forums DV created for us. If your a beta tester for SOTE you 'need' to join the new forum in order to receive any future beta copies of the mod guys. You have a proper beta forum now to access the updated beta's of this mod. So join up so you can be placed into the beta testing user group on the forums !

There isn't 3 Jerecs - where you get that from ?

- ahh ok I see .. He can be built up to three times ? like you know not all at once that is. You can 're' build him another two times after the first time.. does that make better sense  ;D oh and thanks Daft Vader, I have a working Battle of Endor Demo Attract Screen now so it will also be in Alpha 7
