I will be going to see it with my parents... Its a kind of tradition.

I had a similar tradition with my parents in regards to the prequels and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But its a hassle to get them to come out to the movies for anything else. My mom is upset that I am not willing to wait a month to see Harry Potter with her.

I can't see it yet. I just found out that on Wednesday morning the mall had a watermain break, and it leaked down into the movie theatres, which have been closed since. Im just hoping its all reopen by Monday.

You mean you have only one movie theater available? That's a shame.. I'm sure I can get 5-6 within a 30 min drive.

Ouch. We only have one theater close by down here, but so far the worst I've heard about it is a rain leak that they had yesterday inside the theater. I'm kind of glad I didn't go back to see it with my parents that day.

Has anyone else heard that there's an Ender's Game movie under production? Oh, and who else is ticked about that new The Dark is Rising trailer that claims to be based on the books and isn't in the least?

Talks of an Ender's Game movie have gone on for years. The latest word on the movie from Orson Scott Card himself...

Got to see Harry Potter tonight. I was relatively pleased for the most part. Of course they left things out and tweeked certain events to make them happen at more opportune times for the movies sake. But that is to be expected from any movie about a book.

My biggest concern with Umbridge. She acted like I would expect her to, but didn't look right. I expected some ugly, old toad-like lady, but instead you get a pleasant granny. Other than that and the leaving out of some things, I was pleased, and look forward to the Half Blood Prince.

I'm hopefully going to go see Transformers tonight... but it all depends on my energy level... work has been so jam packed full of stress and tasks that I "have to get done!".. that I'm drained by the end of the day.

I FINALLY saw Transformers last night! I found it to be pretty good actually. I know Krytos and Tofu both were kind of "turned off" by the humor in the movie, but I found it to be quite nice... anyway.. the movie all around was half bad and i think the action was pretty cool... I just think once everything got started... it all wrapped up a little too quick... and they should've "zoomed out" a little bit more for the robot fights.. just me though..

I got to see Transformers tonight. I enjoyed it. It was corny, but was still funny, and the effects were awesome. I also enjoyed the altered storyline and what not. However, something seriously disturbed me about the movie.

In the end, the human guy gets the human girl. Its to be expected. The two take part in a massive battle against giant alien robots, of course they are gonna hook up after. However, the end of the movie scarred me.

In one of the last scenes, the guy and girl are making out...ON THE HOOD OF A TRANSFORMER!!! The two are getting ready to do the nasty on top of Bumblebee, and that really disturbs me. Its as if they are going to have a threesome with the alien car! And the icing on the cake is that, in the background, Prime is standing there, enjoying the show.

This movie leaves me asking one question...are they Autobots or Pervertabots?

I was mainly referring to two characters in the movie:The little transformer that turned into a radio at one stage, and the high ranking field op from Sector 7. He's usually a good actor, but in Transformers he was over the top annoying. Yeah, not much in the way of a spoiler ... but hey, I get to use TWO colours :P

Other than that, most of the humour suited the movie well. I'd quote some ... but I'll wait for others to see the movie first

ahhh ok Krytos, yea.. i agree in that regard.. John Turturro usually is a good actor and that role was just stupid.. and that "alien grumbling" of the radio was a bit stupid... and Rob, i thought the same thing! i was like.. "ewww, they're gonna do it on BumbleBee!! wait.. did he ask for them to?.. oh gross."

and what shocks me a bit is that Megan Fox, the hotty in the movie, is engaged to BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN!!!! dude is 13 years her major.. i mean.. come on.. leave that chump and date someone closer to your age.... geez

Who are we to say that there's no love between them? Granted, you're probably right, it's likely about money, but still.

@Rob: You know, I specifically refrained from commenting on the car makeout scene because I didn't want to cause a hubub with it.

The one thing that I can think of that really annoyed me was how the robot forms of the Transformers still retained tires and windshield pieces and such. That struck me as rather odd, considering how they seem to have a holographic exterior that makes them look like a car, where they really transform into something else.

I also thought that they could transform into anything, couldn't they? It would certainly make more sense if they could, would help them get around easier, etc.

What about Bumblebee in the tunnel? He went from busted-up to nice-looking quickly with what I think was holo technology.

Yeah, I meant they couldn't do that in the cartoon show from the 80s. They were stuck with their initial vehicle selection.

I was annoyed that they didn't follow some of the autobots more closely with their car types, but then that's what happens with a movie world dominated by "sponsors".

I mean, was I the ONLY one annoyed that Jazz wasn't a 935 turbo flat nose? Seriously! It's not like there aren't a serious of Porches around these days for them to choose from!

Iron Hide wasn't a van, Ratchet wasn't an ambulance. At least Star Scream was an F-22, an evolution on the F-15 of old. The Decepticons followed closer to their origins ... well, that's just me nit picking though

Erm, on another note: X-Files Movie

Meh... not really what i meant Tofu.. but a good point none the less.. what i really was concentrating on is that she is 21 and hes 34... and.. ITS BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN!! hes such a chump/choad/douche (the ultra combination!!).. its not disgusting.. just upsetting.. i hate it when perfectly hot chicks date men wayyy older than them.. it really pissed me off in high school when the girl i was interested in (16) was dating a 26 year old!.. then in college a girl i was interested in (22) was dating a 38 year old.. so its like.. wheres my hot chick now huh?.. gosh.. i thought it was a right of passage.. just kidding on that.. but seriously it just irks me.. my girlfriend is hot dont get me wrong.. and she is 5 years younger than me... oh.. wait.. i guess i got my young hotty then.. nevermind.. oops :lol:

I got to see I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry today. It was a really, really great film. Im a huge fan of Adam Sandler, and I was extremely pleased with this movie. It reminded me of Anger Management, where it was really funny, but not as silly as his earlier works like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. It also veered away from his artsy movies like Punch Drunk Love and Spanglish. This movie redeemed him from the dullness that was Click.

I saw Night at the Museum while I was away. It's a good movie for kids, with humor that's mostly slapstick and such, but with some veiled stuff for the adults who must watch it with them. ("I won't quit you!")

I thought that it was pretty good, though, with the overall message of "Go to a museum, and read up on your history. It's interesting."

Edit: Transofrmers pretty much summed up.
