Snow

It's been snowing all night, and now it's 7am, and I have to be at work at 8, and I'm going to be really mad because the other two people I work with always call out when it snows so much as an inch, so I'll be all alone from 8 until 4, and I'm going to go crazy. I might have to resort to eating eraser shavings and sucking the ink out of every last ballpoint pen just to survive the storm...

I would, but two probs. First is that I only have the Legend of Zelda, which I have beaten numerous times. The second prob is that I would be embaressed because my gameboy is covered in canine tooth marks.

Well I decided to do the next best thing: call out. They had it coming. So now I'm gonna go outside and bury my dog in the snow.

So we got mad hit with snow last nite, I can't see my car!!! School's closed, and I'm just waiting to get verification that work is closed too. A whole day to sit back, do some homework, and play some PS2. Ooooh yeah!!!!!!

So yup. I called work at 1 and he's like "of course we're staying open! a restaurant can't close on Valentine's Day". Then at 2 he called me and he's like "yeah, we're closing up for the day." SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Well now the problem is digging out. My car is entirely covered...the only thing you can see is the side mirror. It looks like an igloo!

Doesnt anyone care that my college town is in a state of emergency and school is closed again tomorrow, making it 3 days in a row?! There's 4-foot snow banks everywhere, compliments of the City of Oneonta's genious plow team. This leads to accidents galore, as you can't see the road when you turn out. Main Street was like never plowed, so its ridiculous to drive on. And I cant even park in my driveway because the plow man never came, so we have to park down the street a bit in a strip mall parking lot...

Sorry- just saw the movie and one of the most bad-ass scenes is of Caretaker revealing that he was a Ghost Rider 200 some odd years ago, and setting his skull aflame, along with making his horse rather awesomely demonic. The character as a whole reminded me of Tex. The movie as a whole reminded me of an only semi-decently written fanfiction story.

I was supposed to see it this weekend but my friends backed out. Gonna see it next week. I just have to see it. Whether its a blockbuster like Spider-Man and X-Men, very decend like Fantastic 4 and Punisher, or sucks hairy moose balls like Daredevil and Hulk, I gotta see it.

... and we´ve got no snow here. About a year ago we had a lot. Unfortunately too much for the tree in the garden. It nearly fell down and it has to be sawn off.

No snow here since... A really, really long time ago. Probably the tail end of the ice age.

 

Well, no, that's not entirely true. There's been just a little north of here (Kennedy Space Center reported a couple o' inches last year) and we've been having record low temperatures lately. It's probably only a matter of time, especially since it supposedly went into the twenties last night. Brr! (Ferenheit. I'm not that much of a cold weenie! Though I'll admit that I am a fairly big one)

 

There's been frost on the windows lately, too... Come on- snow for me, weather! Snow!

We've been getting snow the past couple weeks. What's funny about that is it's been 15 degrees or less for a high. Quite often the high was sub-zero. It got up to the lower- to mid-30's today. It felt like a heatwave. I love winter in Wisconsin!!!

Damn the snow!!! Now I have a mid-term Wednesday that no one is prepared for! We learned nothing from our Caribbean Culture professor. He just rambles on and on from subject to subject. The only thing I learned is that Pirates of the Caribbean is a work of fiction because all the characters in the movie are "white guys" and none of them are actually of Caribbean descent.

Thats hoping too much. He even said today "I dont lecture like traditional professors who follow an outline and have step by step plans. I say what comes to my mind, and I hope that you take a piece of what I share away with you". I'd drop the class, but I needed an "other world culture" class, and this was like one of only three classes that fulfilled that requirement. Did I say Im scared yet???
